Three Counties Pekingese and Cavalier Society Open show

Many thanks to the society for the invitation. I enjoyed the day and had quality dogs to judge , all in great condition and showing well which made for some difficult decisions.

Best In Show was Cunninghams Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Moonvale Vito Verheyen. Lovely blenheim and white male. Only young but full of type and a good size too I thought. Temperament as it should be, affectionate and he has a lovely expression coming from large dark expressive eyes that draw you in. Of sound construction with good angles fore and aft. Coat colours well broken with correct texture. Making full use of the large ring he holds a firm topline in profile with reach and drive and you can see how true he is out and back. In lovely coat and condition and never stopped showing, I admired him right to the end.

Reserve Best In Show the Pekingese , Morley’s Klerkshof We Will Rock You At Lizlanmor. Catches the eye for really good type. Masculine head, flat skull, dark lustrous eyes and well placed nose with firm chin. Hands on correct in front with tight elbows and his forelegs slightly bowed. Body is short, rib cage has now sprung and he has a distinct waist. Firm level topline with tail set on high. Lighter hindquarters standing close but parallel. Picking up heavy he has thick chunky bone throughout with large flat feet. In great coat, harsh outer, soft under. Moving so typically in front with rolling gait and in profile holds an ideal shape. When a Peke walks towards you with the correct action you should never forget it and I won’t with this exhibit.

Best Puppy In Show Morley and Hitchcock Sealaw Serenity At Lizlanmor , a Pekingese– An absolute delight. Her personality shines as soon as you look at her. Feminine facial features with correct expression and front assembly. Distinct pear shaped body and sound rear. Picks up heavy and has good bone throughout. Moving so confidently with rolling gait.

Reserve Best Puppy In Show Parkers Doonbeg Mahogany Magic At Khatira – Quality boy. So well made and for his age exceptional on the move in every direction with elegant long flowing action with plenty of forward reach and drive. Good ears and almond eyes. Clean cut outline with good body and soft warm skin.

Best Veteran In Show the very correct moving English Toy Terrier (B&T) Francis and Blatchfords CH.Witchstone Not Apache On Me For Peopleton VW. Well balanced outline with typical wedge shaped head, lovely body with deep narrow chest. In good coat with rich tans and ebony black. A joy to watch in profile with the correct extended trot. Handler really gets the very best out of him

1st Thatchers Devonia’s Florence – Correct head, ear and eye and has excellent pigment throughout. Firm level topline. Correct front with good shoulders and rear moderately angulated. Just a little off square with slightly more length to loin. Moves well in all directions. Lovely feel to coat, flocked and naturally presented. RBOB

2nd Whateleys Arkadian Alfredo Ferrari – Square bodied with good bone. Lovely face with dark round eyes. Moves true out and back. Typical coat feel but presentation spoils.

1st and BOB Thatchers Kobanyal Pelhes Odin With Devonia (IMP HUN) – super to go over in lovely condition. Large dark round eyes with well balanced head . Smart action going around . Coat flocked .

2nd Lovell and Thatchers Devonia Anzio – Another smart mover. Well bodied with good rib. Lovely expression with good eye and pigment. Correct example of the breed.

1st Morley’s Klerkshof Red Rum At Lizlanmor – Compact, short backed and really well put together. Picks up so heavy at the front. Has chunky bone and large flat feet. Skull flat, wide and shallow with super facial features, typical dark expressive eyes . Correct nose and wrinkle with firm chin. Moves so dignified. In really good coat. RBOB

2nd Sakals Kinas Budda Playful Pia at Curonians – Bigger and longer than first. Typical head with lovely eyes and expression. Flat skull. Substantial body with good ribbing and correct waist. Holds her topline in profile. Beautifully presented.

1st Morley and Hitchcock Shardlow Come On Over To Lizlanmor – Beautiful through out with correct head and eyes. Her eyes really draw you in. Dark and inviting. Lovely body and has width to chest. Correct front with slightly bowed front legs. Sound on the move. RBB

1st Sakals Curonians Alla Bixia – appealing type. Like the head shape and expression . Has enough substance thoughout. Lovely rib cage and level topline. Large flat feet. Harsh well presented coat with super ear fringes.

1st Swinge and Price Marquant Remember Me – really typey with the most beautiful facial features. Super eyes and high set ears. Raw in body but square and has depth to his ribs. Rich red harsh coat. Moving soundly in all directions. Exciting. BP

2nd Hershaw Beauborne Vanda – gorgeous B/T rough. Her eyes ! So distinct in outline with some neck and decent body. High set tail. Moving as well as first. Three beautiful pups.

 Suggitts Aptrick Arcturus – Black rough in excellent condition and shows well with reach and drive in profile. Large head with good eye, nose and ears. Plenty of rib. RBOB

Open Dog or bitch (3,1)

1st Swinge Balthazar Supersonic ShCEx – Red rough full of type and spirit. Shown to win and he did. BOB. Masculine. Large head, round large eyes. Correct nose placement. Firm strong jaw. Medium length of neck. Level backline. Moderate angles fore and aft. Moving free out and back. Crisp coat.

2nd Suggitts Aptrick Buttersky JW – Pretty exhibit. Monkeyish face. Excellent rib, deep chest and strong hindquarters. Harsh well presented coat. Moves well side on.

1st Swinge and Saffer Myter Crème Caramel At Balthazar- confident puppy with a lovely typey head. Dark large eyes. Well made with good front and rear. Plenty of ribbing. Topline level. Tail set on high. Good mover with characteristic roll from her rear.

2nd Hickey Luna Bell Lou – Excellent body, short and cobby. Firm level topline. Strong muscular rear. Preferred head of first and couldn’t match class winners better front action coming towards.

1st Hickey Gio Do Gio Pep Guardiola (Imp) – Solid body which is short and cobby. Head is large with square muzzle. Coat texture spoils. True out and back .

2nd Green Nicobri Lord Of The Dance – Lovely head with blunt muzzle and has wrinkle. Body lean and needs to develop more. Sound moving using his strong rear.

1st Saffer and Swinge Bubbapug Summer Sundae JW – Typey and well balanced. Lovely head and expression with feminine expression. Large dark lustrous eyes. Correct pigment and wrinkle. Body short and cobby with good chest and has depth to her brisket. Correct reach of neck. Excellent rib. Fine coat of good clear colour. Sound free mover with typical hind action. BOB.

2nd Reynolds and Morley Afterglow I Dream Of Jeannie At Lizlanmor JW – two really good examples here in the class, this exhibit still to mature in body and not the depth in chest as yet. Catches the eye for type. Lovely head. Dark eyes. Neat fine ears. Very good pigment. Open nostrils. Short back, level topline and tail set on high. Well angulated rear. Moves and shows well. RBOB. 1st Olivers Maltese Sarasuma Made In Wonderland. BP. Well balanced with beautiful head and expression. Very together on the move with level topline and correct and tail. Coat developing well. Correct haoles and pigment. Really catches your eye on the move.

2nd Hancocks Coton Cindares Velvet Dream. Another promising puppy. Typical topline for the breed and coat feels good already . Excellent in profile and has good hind quarters moving well in all directions.

Junior Dog or bitch

1st Jennings Maltese Benatone Issabella. Lovely type with correct proportioned head and muzzle. Oval eyes and correct haoles . Super body and rib with good rear which she used well. Lovely silky white coat and correct pigment on pads.

2nd Lovells Reubicia Topaz at Pawsamy. Pomeranian. Dual size with lovely bone. Correct foxy outline to head and nose. Barrell rib . Brisk mover.

1st Lovells Pomeranian Pawsamy Rose JW . Typical outline in profile with good rear and tail set. Stands on neat cat like feet. Firm level topline. Moving freely.

Open Dog or bitch

1st Lovells Pawsamy Sweet William JW. Pomeranian.BAVNSC. Doesn’t need to be any bigger. Typical in all respects with compact body and fairly deep chest. Lovely expression with good eyes and muzzle. Neat small ears.

AV Toy Puppy (4,2)

1st Maltese, Olivers Sarasuma Made In Wonderland

2nd English Toy Terrier (B&T) Warrens Rhymswell Fields of Gold . Mature Puppy. Lovely balanced outline. Correct wedge shaped head and topline. Lovely extended trot in profile. Promising.

Junior (4,4)

1st English Toy Terrier (B&T) Loves Lasagesse Whole Lotta Love With Tettoy. Fine boned and elegant in gleaming thick coat with ebony black and chestnut tans. Super dark wicked eyes. Very accurate moving out and back and shows some extension in profile.

2nd Maltese Jennings Benatone Issabella

1st Parkers Chinese Crested Powder Puff CH.Ynchreenoo Black Magic At Khatira ShCEx. Real showman and presented in firm muscular condition. Correct proportions to head with well placed large ears. Smashing body shape with lovely rib. Moderate rear which he used well.
