The Northern Provincial Bull Terrier Club Sunday 13th April 2025 Thank you to Northern Provincial for inviting me to judge, making for a thoroughly enjoyable and unforgettable birthday. My sincere gratitude to the wonderful exhibitors who came under me with their dogs, a lovely entry of high quality exhibits which were a joy to go over. MINIATURE BULL TERRIER Puppy Dog or Bitch (1/1) 1st – 32 – Pilinska’s SMART TRI CORSA ZLOTA BEJA (IMP POL) – 10 Month old tri-colour bitch. Under the measure. Head long and filled, but would prefer more profile. Correct mouth and small dark eye. Ears are a little wide set. Developing forechest, still a little immature in body at this stage. Very neat little cat feet, good bend of stifle and developing second thigh. Tail set and carried well. Movement ok, a little unsettled, parallel going but a touch close coming. Happy and outgoing in temperament. BP Junior Dog or Bitch (0/0) Open Dog (1/1) 1st – 24 – Martin’s GIFFENBULL ENCORE OF ARIBAX JW – 2 Year old solid brindle dog, under the measure. He presents a very well-made head, great turn and fill and piercing, small, triangular eye. Small well-placed ears bang on top and constantly used to full attention. Mouth fault. Straight front with the most appealing small cat feet, well up on his toes at all times. In hardened condition with muscled shoulders and a strong second thigh. Presents a classic outline with level topline that he holds on the move. Was a little obstinate today when it came to movement, and gave his young handler a hard time. When he decided to go, he moved parallel both ways, light on his toes. BD, BOS, & RBOB Open Bitch (4/7) 1st – 8 – Fletcher’s NAPIER LA NINA – 13 Month old white bitch with black ear, on the measure. She caught my eye the moment she stepped into the ring. A strong yet feminine head, egg shaped and well filled with great depth in her sweeping profile. A small triangular dark eye cutting through her bright white coat. Small ears well set and framing her headpiece. Correct scissor bite, one tight canine. Straight front, deep prominent forechest, well off for bone and substance. Small neat feet. In hardened condition with well muscled shoulders, well sprung ribs, short cobby body and well developed second thigh. On the move she was a touch erratic but when settled, she moved parallel and with drive, Full of cheeky character. When stood, she looked a picture of elegance and strength. Pleased to award her BB, & BOB 2nd – 25 – Martin’s CH TOPASBULLY YAROSLAVA – 2 Year old, well-marked brindle and white bitch, over the measure. Immaculately presented and very well schooled. Head is well filled with gentle profile. Dark eye that is a little kind, small ears set a touch wide apart. Mouth fault. Straight front, well tucked in elbows and with a deep brisket. Well sprung ribs and a heavy set body. Correct slight roach over her loins. Good bend of stifle, second thigh a little soft. On the move she holds her topline well, moving in unison with her handler. A touch close behind. Has a tendency to hold her tail quite high. She is a very well balanced bitch, short and cobby with plenty of bone and substance about her.
