Dachshunds (Mini Longhaired)

Special Yearling (2 Entries -1)

1st & BPIB = Latham-Jacksons Urishay Quizzle

Pretty, feminine 9 month old black and cream baby. Excellent shape to her head with almond eye. Lovely front. Excellent ribbing. Good height to length ratio. Moved very sound on the fairly long grass. Good extension in profile. Must have a bright future.

Limit (1 Entry)

1st = Turtons Kenzduo Magic Potion at Damoradaxies

Pretty black and tan girl in super coat. Cone shaped head with good eye shape. Pleasing front. Moved well in profile, a little untidy going away. Well presented.

Open (2 Entries)

1st  & BOB = Latham-Jacksons Revdvicki’s Theodore By Urishay

Loved this classy, masculine black and tan boy. Good length of neck into well placed shoulder. Correct length and return of upper arm. Well ribbed back. Correct height to length ratio. Super topline which he held on the move. Sound coming and going and with an accurate profile action.

2nd = Urishay Nell Gwyn

This black and tan girl is bred the same way as the winner of Special Yearling and has many of the same qualities. I preferred the head on the winner, but this girl was well made throughout, had a good prosternum and drove off well from the hocks.

All three winners shared the same sire – one who obviously stamps his type.

Dachshunds (Mini Smooth haired)

Special Yearling (1 – 1 Entry)

Limit (4 – 2 Entries)

1st = Somertons Rijobeau Pandora Boxx

Pretty black and tan girl with pleasing shape to her head. Good length of neck into well laid shoulder. Well ribbed back. Excellent balance. Super topline. Correct underline. Moved very well in profile.

2nd = Lewis’s Trixhund Magic

Another feminine girl with a lovely shape to her head. Almond eye. Good length of neck. Excellent prosternum. Longer through the ribbing and loin than 1st. Well let down hocks. Kept her topline on the move.

Open (3 – 1 Entries)

1st  & BOB = Ashbys Midlandbulls Willow at Jaxinorydax

This quality girl had beautiful lines from the tip of her nose to the tip of her tail. Beautiful neck let into well placed shoulders. Good prosternum and underline. Excellent topline and moved well coming and going, and in profile. To be picky I would prefer a little less covering on her.

2nd = Trixhund Magic Ddu

Litter sister to 2nd in the previous class and very similar indeed. I preferred this girls head, ribbing and loin. She moved well in profile  and maintained her topline and had good reach when viewed from the side.

Dachshunds (Longhaired)

This  standard longhaired entry was lovely – although there were just three dogs, they were all super quality, presented in beautiful coat and condition and it was a privilege to have the chance to go over them. Thank you!

Special Yearling (1 Entry)

1st   & BPIB & HPG 2 = Partridges Ranglewood Xmas Cracker to Riveroyal

This 10 month old black and tan boy was all feet and body! Raw but on a super balanced frame. Great length of neck into swell laid back shoulder and excellent return of upper arm. Correct height to body ratio. Good bone and feet. Super topline. Moved so sound despite his youth. Loved him and was delighted to see the Hound Group judge place him 2nd !

Limit (2 – 1  Entries)

1st = Partridges Pettigans Viva La Vida By Riveroyal

Feminine shaded red girl with a lot to like. Well balanced front and rear. Correct length to height. Prominent forechest. Well ribbed back. Good angles throughout. Excellent topline. Moved sound as a pound and with good driving action from her hocks.

Open (1 Entry)

1st  & BOB & HG2 = Frickers Sundayshill Theodore At Borzdac

Beautifully balanced 3-year-old quality red boy in his prime and presented to perfection. Super shaped head and eye. Long neck set into well laid shoulders. Excellent ribbing, topline and correct loin. Prominent prosternum. Good bone and feet. Moved as I knew he would. Sound, with drive and lovely reach when viewed from the side. He took 2nd in a strong Hound Group. Well Done!

Dachshunds (Smooth Haired)

Limit (2 Entries)

1st  & BOB = Ashbys Rayol Pumpkin Pie at Jaxinorydax

Lovely feminine red girl. Correct cone shaped head with almond eye. Excellent length of neck set into super layback of shoulder. Classic front with prominent prosternum and correct angulation through the upper arm. Well ribbed back with short strong loin. Rear quarters tin balance with her front. Well let down hocks. Moved so sound coming and going and with drive, maintaining her topline in profile. Beat her litter brother for BOB on her slightly better angulation.

2nd = Turtons Madrebambino Slinky Gal at Skipsar

This black and tan girl was a little shorter on the leg and neck than 1st. She had an excellent topline which she maintained on the move. Prominent prosternum. Well let down hocks. Correct tail carriage. Looked a picture in profile.

Open (1 Entry)

1st = Ashbys Rayol Dallas Cowboys at Jaxinorydax

Litter brother to BOB, this quality shaded red boy had a super masculine head and expression. Excellent balance to front and rear angulation. Well ribbed back and with correct spring of rib. Well let down hocks. Good bone and feet. Moved soundly and with drive. No disgrace to be beaten by his litter sister.
