I had a super day judging at your show, there was a friendly atmosphere, even when the heavens opened! So nice to have all exhibitors congratulating each other.
All temperaments on the day were spot on, I’d just like to draw attention to mouths as there were a number with slight issues, other than that I was pleased with the dogs present.

Medium length of neck which meets a balanced front, stands straight in front. Loved judging this class
1st POVEY’S VIVA GARDIAN OF OLIFERNE – 10mth bitch, lovely head on this youngster with good planes, ears are set and carried well, correct stop and eye. Length of neck is correct leads to a well laid shoulder; upper arm is slightly steep. Rear angles are correct with good width to upper thigh, correct bend to stifle. Stands parallel from behind. Really used her rear angles on the move where soundness could be seen in all directions. Body is still developing; rib cage is good. In profile stands a little bum high, but on the move, this drops and not as noticeable. At only 10mths she is strengthening in all areas.
2nd WHITEHOUSE’S LARKHARBOUR LAMBRETTA – 2 year bitch of good size and complimented with nice bone throughout. Head is proportioned correctly with good skull and nice ear set and carriage, strength in muzzle. Strength in back leads to a strong muscular loin and good croup with pleasing tailset. Whilst moderately angled fore and aft she uses them to the best she can where she moved out at a steady pace showing soundness at all times and retained her shape at all times.
3rd KNIGHT’S DROMNAGUS BULGARIAN JASMIN NOIR

Junior Dog (1)
1st SMITH’S OMIANT ARTHAS – This 14mth male presents the correct square profile. I really liked his head, super shape, nice skull, defined stop and strong muzzle finished with a large nose, medium brown almond shaped eye, ear size, set and carriage are correct and are close to cheeks which are developed. Strong neck of fair length. Front angles are fair, although he would benefit from a slightly better lay of shoulder. Depth of brisket is correct, strong top line and broad loin. Rear angles are pleasing where he stands well when viewed from behind showing strength in hock for his age. Movement was very fluent and consistently sound at all times. Pleased to award him Reserve Best Dog.
Post Graduate Dog (1)
1st NEWTON’S LINTWEED BLACK LUCIAN – 18 mth medium sized male, correct bone and substance for age and size. This dog actually shows his construction off better on the move rather than stood, this could well be his age and as he matures he will present himself more. He has a lovely lay of shoulder and strong top line. Rear angles are balanced but this is where he stiffens in stifle whilst in stance. From the rear he has a good width and hocks are strong. His head is showing masculinity and whilst still maturing, it is a well-proportioned head, where length of muzzle to skull is correct, with defined stop, correct eye, ears are set and carried well. Chest is still broadening; elbows are close to body where his rib cage has good depth. Movement is sound in each direction, where he dropped into himself and used all his angles.
Open Dog (2)
1st PERKS’ INT/IR CH SCOTT BLACK LEGION (IMP POL) AN CH 22/23/24 CENT CH CENT W CW23/24 JCH [ATC AZ94188POL] – A very flashy male who definitely catches your eye on the move where his side gait shows super extension whilst having correct elasticity movement. In profile he is nearly square with a super top line. His head has a very nice flat skull, medium ears carried close to cheek, medium stop, strong muzzle of good width, pronounced eye brows, roundness to cheek all complimented with good furnishings. Well sprung ribs, depth of chest meets elbows which are tucked in. Stands straight in front. He has a nice front but his handler has a tendency to stake him which takes this away. Rear angles are lovely and have good muscle tone with strength in hock. Lovely tail set and carriage. Movement is so sound and easy, a real pleasure to watch. Best Dog and RBIS.
2nd BULL’S EVRUSSKY BLACK WARRIOR AT GUNNERBEARS (AI) – Substantial male of 2 years with solid heavy bone throughout. Extremely impressive male groomed to perfection. His head is so masculine, with a good eye, great ear carriage, correct check development. Neck is muscular and of fair length leading onto a nice front assembly, broad in back with good spring of rib. Strength continues in loin and croup, very pleasing hindquarters, with well bent stifle and muscular upper thigh. He uses his strength well with his angles in movement, where he covers the ground well displaying soundness at all times.

Puppy Bitch (2)
1st HAMMONDS’s DROMNAGUS MISS SCARLET VON KOSCHEI (IKC) – At just 7 months of age although on the smaller size at present she is very much together. Loved her profile where she is near on square, she has a lovely top line which leads well to a correct croup. Head is pleasing whilst still developing and in keep with her overall size. She is well balanced fore and aft and uses these well on the move where she presents a pleasing outline in side gait whilst being so true and sound when going away and back. Stands well behind showing good width, hocks are quite firm for one so young. In stance she doesn’t actually show what she has, but hopefully that will come as she learns what is expected of her. Pleased to award her BPIS

Skull to muzzle are parallel and of correct proportions, skull is flat and of good width, medium stop, correct eye, medium ears which are set and carried correct lying close to cheek. Neck of fair length and flows onto a well put together front assembly. Depth and width of chest is good, stands straight in front. Well sprung ribs, broad firm back, tail set and carriage are nice. Rear angles are pleasing with a good bend to stifle; thighs have good even muscle development. Movement is steady and sound, she actually shows herself off better on the move as she shows a good even gait, as in stance she is a standing a little stiff. Nice bitch who I was pleased to award RBB.
2nd BALDWIN’S LINTWEED BLACK ZAMARA – I really like this bitch, she has so much to like, super angles fore and aft, strong top line, well sprung ribs with correct depth of chest. Elbows are close. Stands straight in front. Hindquarters are muscled with well bent stifles. She stands with a good width behind, and strong hocks. Neck is strong and of good length. Head is correctly proportioned, displaying strength whilst remaining feminine. I just wish her ear carriage was better to compliment, as she really is nice.

3rd NEWTOWN’S LINTWEED BLACK BERTHA
Open Bitch (3)
1st BULL’s LARKHARBOUR KAWASAKI AT GUNNERBEARS – What a lovely substantial bitch, with super bone throughout. She has the most gorgeous head, muzzle to skull parallels are correct, medium stop, muzzle is broad tapering to a large nose, developed cheeks, ears are medium and hang correctly where they touch the cheek. Oval eyes, pronounced eye brows. Complimented with correct fringing. Muscular neck flows nicely onto a firm top line. Well laid back shoulder and good upper arm, elbows are close to body. Rib cage is well sprung and, strength in loin, nice croup where tailset and carriage are correct. Hindquarters have good muscle development on her thighs with well bent stifle. Hocks are strong. Her movement is effortless, with her lovely angles she covers the ground easily. Presented in super coat, and groomed so well. If I was able to alter anything it would to just have a little bit more spark when moving. But she did what she needed to do on the day. BB and pleased to award her BIS
2nd NEWTON’S ZAZNOBA NADEZHDINOI POLJANY AT LINTWEED (IMP RUS) – Another substantial bitch who is well off for bone. Like her head, where all is in proportion, to be picky I’d like a little more skull, oval eye, medium stop, length of muzzle to skull is good, broad strong muzzle, correct ear carriage. Neck is of good length and leads onto a strong firm top line. Angles are balanced and work well together. A steady mover who moves out with good drive and easy ground covering sound movement.

1st NORTON & THOMAS’ KALASLANE JUDGE JUDY AT CARANTANA (IKC) – see veteran for critique
Brace (1)
1st NEWTON’S – Litter brother and sister who were both so similar. Whilst not a polished performance they did move well together although a little more training would benefit, I’ve been there and know how hard it is to handle in this sort of class is, but keep it up because these are a good pairing and present themselves well.
Junior Handling (1)
I had one young lady who handled in this class. She listened so well to what was asked of her. She was shown how to move around the dog so that the judge can view the dog at all times, and she was then able to demonstrate this new learning. She moved her dog well, with a good stride pattern whilst being aware of where the dog was at all times. She had full control of her dog and showed a good relationship. Well done young lady keep it up.
Fancy Dress (2,1abs)
1st NORTON & THOMAS’ KALASLANE JUDGE JUDY AT CARANTANA (IKC) – well my lovely veteran turned into a nun, she looked fabulous. Shame she got so wet with the down pour we had.
