Firstly, I would like to thank Sheringham and District Kennel Association for the opportunity to complete my first judging appointment at their Premier Open Show. I would also like to thank all the exhibitors who entered under me, and a big thank you to my lovely steward on the day, who kept the ring (and me) running smoothly.

1st Offer’s Woolytop The Phezantplukka JW

A well put together 16 month muscular male who was calm but had real presence in the ring, up to size but all in proportion with very good head properties, a dark triangular eye with good pigmentation. Large teeth. A good length of neck into well set shoulders with good depth and width to chest. Well off for bone but light and springy in movement both out and back. Good tail set and carriage throughout. BOB

2nd Hart’s Silverkinn Spice Girl

A 13 month feminine bitch with a lovely head into neck of good length and well set shoulder, dark triangular eye with a softer expression, correct bite. Good depth to chest. Forelegs straight showing correct magnet shape. Moved with drive but kept a light springy step, moving straight out and back. Graceful and flowing just not quite the presence and sparkle of 1st.

3rd Baldwin’s Woolytop Here I Am

L 1)

1st Baldwin’s Woolytop What’s It All About

A feminine 5 year old bitch with a good dome to skull and no apparent stop, a gentle expression but showing a sparkle in the eye. Well balanced throughout. Correctly shaped rib cage into deep chest with straight forelegs and correct hare foot. Moving out well and maintaining a light springy step and correct tail carriage. Well set tail and good rear angulation.

1st Offer’s CH Woolytop The Viking

A more mature male of 6 years with lovely head properties, sparkle in his dark triangular eye, very good pigmentation. Good length of neck, shoulders well angulated with correct depth to chest, good bone to forelegs straight with slightly sloping pastern, hocks well let down, in very good, muscular, condition and moving with drive. RBOB a hard decision just not quite the showmanship of BOB

2nd Baldwin’s Woolytop Leading Lady

A very feminine 6 year old girl, well balanced throughout with a correct head, good dentition, good shoulder placement correct front, good shape to ribs with depth to chest, good topline with correctly placed arch leading into well angulated hindquarters and low set hocks. Not quite making the most of herself today and preferred movement of 1st.

1st Beckton’s Glengracie She Will Rock You

One I have liked for a while and does not disappoint. 21 month old balanced strong but feminine head, expressive, dark almond eye, with good width and depth to skull, correct bite with large teeth and powerful jaw. Moderate neck into well angulated shoulder, excellent for bone, forelegs straight, deep, well hung, chest with ribbing carried well back. Short through loin with big powerful hindquarters. Moved well with plenty of drive from behind. Excellent tail set and plenty behind. Well presented. BOB

2nd Webster’s Eimahans’ phantom Menace of Pepilarue

A good, typy, 2 year old black with good head properties, strong jaw and large teeth, eye dark and correct almond shape with good ear set. Well angulated fore and aft with good bone and straight legs. Slightly longer through coupling than 1st. Moved well out and back but with less drive and energy than 1st.
