Bearded collies

P (2,0) 1 Peirsons’ Kiltondale Miley Cyrus

This lovely 10-month-old girl had a truly melting expression, framed by a strong yet feminine head that was broad and well-proportioned to her body. She was beautifully presented, with a quality coat coming through nicely. Her shoulders were well laid back, complemented by a matching rear. Alert and confident, she moved with nice, ground-covering strides that showed her potential. I was pleased to award her Best Puppy in Breed and delighted to see her go on to win Puppy Group 1 - definitely one to watch for the future.

2 Jellies’ Kiltondale Johnny Cash for Jellwell

This boy caught my eye as soon as he entered the ring. His overall shape on the stand was very appealing, with his lovely puppy coat further enhancing his outline. He displayed true proportions - 5 to 4 - and had a lovely, broad, and square head. Well-laid-back shoulders and a strong loin helped him maintain a level topline both standing and on the move. Another quality puppy I’m excited to watch develop in the future.

Y (2,1) 1 Carters’ Memorylane Emotions in Motion for Ravenswyre (imp fin) JW

This young boy, even though he stood alone, was just outstanding. When he walked in the ring my eyes were glued to him as he demands attention, and he did not disappoint on going over him. Super masculine head with appealing expression enhanced by eyes toning with coat. Well laid back shoulders with strong topline coming from good length of back and short loin. Matching rear angulation which he used well on the move. Delighted to award him BOB and to watch him put on another faultless performance in the group to win it.

O (5,1) 1 Perkins’ Saskyadu Your So Magical VW

This 9-year-old girl epitomises the longevity and quality of our breed — she showed no sign of her age and was in full bloom. Although at the upper end of the height scale, she remained feminine and well-proportioned. She had the sweetest expression, the kind that immediately puts a smile on your face. A good length of neck led into well-set shoulders, with length of back coming from the rib. She had nicely let-down hocks and a well-angulated rear. She moved out with confidence and effortless ease, all wrapped up in a lovely, well-presented coat.

2 Tamjenta Bendelacreme

When looking at this boy, there’s absolutely no doubting his masculinity. A lovely blue Bearded Collie, he showed correct proportions on the stand, presenting a balanced and pleasing outline. His overall shape was both strong and elegant, with a well-developed frame that still retained the breed’s characteristic grace. He was beautifully presented in a quality coat that had clearly been well cared for, adding to the overall impression of a dog in peak condition. Just carrying a little extra weight, which became more evident on the move, slightly softening his outline in motion. Nonetheless, his confident presence and classic breed type made him stand out in the ring.
