A lovely time judging some super dogs. I have not judged in South Wales and was very impressed by the quality throughout. Firstly, a thank you goes to the exhibitors for your entry’s and adding to the nice atmosphere around the show. Thank you to Helen and her excellent committee, for the invitation and the hard work that goes into putting on a good show. Finally, a thank you to our wonderful stewards who kept the ring ticking along nicely.

1st & BOB - Finch & Hopper & Parker’s GEZANCOL HEY JUDE WITH KHATIRA – 7months, black and cream puppy of good size and substance, with a nice outline to match. Still sporting the lovely puppy furnishings. Smart head, nice eye shape. Correct bite. good length of neck leading to a well laid set of shoulders. Appropriate depth of chest for his age. Level topline held nicely on the move. Prominent pins. Good rear angulation with low set hocks. Finished with a good ring to his tail, nicely set. Moved well with plenty of reach, drive and spring.

1st & BOB – Fleetwoods’ TANGAER ICED BUN – Pretty girl, of good size and condition, in white and orange. Good head and expression. correct ear set. . Correct bite. Appropriate neck length leading to a good lay of shoulder. Nice depth to her ribs with a good shape. Good strength to her loin. Well made rear assembly providing appropriate drive.

Two very nice youngsters showing great promise.
1st & BOB – Hall’s JANSAMS BLOODY MARY – Elegant grey and white puppy of good proportions, well presented, and good coat. Pretty, long head, with lovely ears. Correct bite. Good neck length, nice lay of shoulder and depth of chest to match. Excellent chest shape, good length of ribs. Good underline. Nice flow to the topline, correct and holding shape, with a strong loin to match. Muscular well angulated rear. Plenty of drive and reach on the move, effortlessly covering the ground. Was pleased to see her win RBPIS.
2nd – JANSAMS COSMOPOLITAN – very similar attributes to 1st, pushing hard, but first being a little more settled today. Another white and grey girl showing promise and elegance throughout. Good head, small correct ears. Correct bite. Good neck length. Good shoulder set, appropriate depth of chest and shape. excellent rib length. Nicely made rear, with muscular features. Another showing drive and suitable spring, with width to match.

1st & BOB Lewis’ TRIXHOUND TEN FROM LEN JW - A striking black and tan dog, superbly presented. Immediately enjoyed his presence. Covered the ground well showing reach and drive. Smart, masculine head of good proportions, with correct shape to his eye. Correct bite. Strong neck, of good length, leading to a well laid shoulder, correct placement. Super chest shape, with prominent breast bone. Plenty of depth and length to his ribs, still with good ground clearance. Correct topline, strong, and maintained on the move. Well-made rear, and well-muscled. Correct tail set.

1st & BOB Hams’ CISELSIG HEY THERE DELILAH – Smart red girl who is just coming into her own. Nice outline with good proportions all around. Nice head shape and expression, with a pleasing eye to match. Neck of good length. Well made front assembly, nicely muscled. Elbows nicely set. Prominent breast bone. Chest of good shape, showing plenty of volume. Level topline. Nice angles to her rear assembly, with plenty of muscle to match. Excellent feet. Covered the ground well, maintaining her shape and good width.
2nd Rossa & Kasprowicz’ DANIELLO ATHENA ALICE – Very raw chocolate and tan girl. Pretty head, nice eye set. Nice proportions for age. Ok front and chest shape. ribs of good length. Drove out well and once settled covered the ground well.

Good neck length, nice front, with good angles. Nicely developed fore chest. Good length to her ribs and a strong loin to match. Holding her topline on the move. good rear, showing plenty of drive on the move and width throughout.

1st Lewis’ TRIXHUND MAGIC – Smart black and tan bitch just finalising her maturity. A nice type, with good balance and proportions from the outset and good ground clearance. Smart head, long, with a nice dark eye. Strong neck of length leading to a well placed front. Nice chest depth and shape with good fore chest. Ribs of good length. Good level topline, strong loin. Well made rear, and with muscle to match. Good width on the outset and covered the ground well with drive in profile.

1st & BP – Owen and Broadies’ FRITZENS GUNHILD AT WOLFCASTLE (IMP GER) 11month old of good size and substance for age, more of a grey on coat colour. Feminine expression with nice eye and correct ears. Strong neck of length. Well laid shoulder providing good reach. Appropriate depth of chest, nice width. Good rib shape and of length with good tuck up. Strong loin. Well constructed rear providing good drive. Drove out well. And provided balance in profile. Look forward to this one finishing.

1st & BOB Owen and Broadies’ FRITZENS ZAREEF AT WOLFCASTLE (IMP GER) Smart dog, mature of correct size and shape. Balanced in outline and in super condition throughout. Handsome head and expression, with correctly shaped ears. Correct bite. Lovely length of neck, and strong. Nicely constructed shoulders, straight front, and excellent depth of chest. Good shape to his ribs, with tuck up. Nice flow to his topline leading to well made rear, with nice bend of stifle. Free and easy mover with good width.

1st & BOB Clarkes’ SKY HI HUNT LONDON CALLING (IMP USA) - Striking black dog with white accents. Of good size and substance. Smart head, long head with a masculine expression. Correct bite. Nice shape to his ears, and well set. Strong neck of good length leading to a well laid shoulder. Good depth of chest, of length with a good underline. Top line has good flow, and finished with a strong loin. Muscular rear assembly providing drive. Nice width throughout, was pleased to see him go HG1

1st & BOB Mortimers’ LAAKSO JULAFTEN – Pretty girl of excellent shape and proportions. Still young, but showing excellent promise. Pretty head and correct bite. Super ears, correctly set, wouldn’t want them any larger. Correct neck length. Excellent lay of shoulder. Nice depth of chest and of shape. short compact body, good topline. Correct tail set. Well made rear, moderate and strong. Lovely in profile, covering the ground well. One to watch I feel.
2nd Mortimers’ CH LAAKSO DANA – Smart girl of nice proportions, in good condition throughout. Good feminine head, smart ears, and a dark eye. Correct bite. Good lay of shoulder. Supported by broad chest, and of length, with a strong short loin to match. Level topline. Moderate bend of stifle. Couldn’t match first for width throughout.

Nice neck length leading to a good set of sloping shoulders. Excellent depth of chest. good front with nice feet to match. good length of to his loin. Well place hips showing suitable width. Well made rear providing effortless movement.

1st & BP Rogers’ DAYDREAMER DYLAN – Lighter coloured boy of good size and substance. Despite being a little unsettled, could see his potential. Masculine, strong head and good ears. Correct bite. Nice length of neck, leading to ok front. Good depth of chest, with nice underline and topline. Ok rear providing appropriate drive.
2nd Colquhoun AMEESHA SIMPLY DASHING - 6 month blue dog, of small stature and quite a curvaceous outline. Pretty head. Correct bite. nice neck length leading to an ok front. Still young but foundations ok all the same. Shapely underline and topline. Well bent stifles providing adequate propulsion.

1st Perkins’ ZEGLYNN CHRISTMAS PRESENT – 18 moth old fawn dog. Clean with nice features and standing over good ground. Correct eyes and ears. Correct bite. Nice long neck leading to good front. Good depth to his chest, and of length providing a nice underline. Strong loin leading to a nicely made rear. Plenty of muscle throughout providing a free movement.
2nd Bayleys’ OHOKA TOP MODEL AT HENGILFACH – lighter fawn curvy bitch. Smart head, with good ears. Correct bite. Nice length of neck leading to ok front. Ok chest shape, with nice tuck up. curvy topline leading to well made rear. A balanced dog in profile.
3rd Perkins’ ZEGLYNN GINGER PUNCH

1st & BOB Brodie & Owens’ WOLFSCASTLE BE JULED – Brindle Jacket on white with a black mask. Smart lady, of balanced size and substance. Pretty features, with nice ears, and good eye shape to match. Correct bite. Strong neck of good length leading to a nice lay of shoulder. Good depth of chest and fill. Nice shape to her ribs with width. Good length of ribs, with a nice flow to her topline. Super rear, providing drive. Balanced on the move and covering the ground with ease.
2nd Perkins’ SILKRIDGE RAPTURE WITH ZEGLYNN – Dog of similar colours to first. Shown in superb condition, with nice proportions throughout. Smart head, nice eye shape and ear shape. Correct bite. Nice long neck leading to good lay of shoulder. Appropriate depth of chest with fill. Good underline and flow to topline. Nicely made rear providing appropriate propulsion. Didn’t quite tick the boxes of first today.

2nd Brodie & Owens’ WOLFSCASTLE CROWN JULES – Handsome, shapely chap of good size and substance. Cream over white. Good head, nicely proportioned. Near ears. Correct bite. Good length of neck. Good shoulder placement, with excellent depth of chest and shape. good length of ribs providing a good underline. Strong loin. Well muscled rear end, covering a good bend of stifle. Drove out well and balanced in profile.
