It was such an honour to be invited to judge at such a well organised dog show and thank you to the exhibitors for bringing their hounds today and for accepting my decisions with good grace and specially thanks to my two stewards for keep the ring in good order.

Class 204 PUPPY DOG 2 ( 0 )

1st, ( 138 ) LUTHER & BUCKLAND’S TERVANTY DRAGON MASTER - What an attractive brindle male of 11 months of age, well matured and sized for his age. He has a well proportioned head, correct ear set and eye shape, powerful jaws with complete scissor bit, he has an elegant long neck into well laid back shoulders with flat muscles, straight front legs and well placed elbows, deep chest with enough heart room, he has well sprung ribs and well muscled back , lovely strong and broad thigh with well bent stifles, well let down hocks standing square naturally with well arched feet, he carries his tail well when stacked and moving, he moves true coming and going and used his back legs well , well handled. 2nd, ( 146 ) STUART’S GENTLE SNIP OF BOSKENNA – Another 10 months old brindle male, not as muscular as 1, he is well sized in height, lovely head with flat skull, correct ear set, his eye shape spoils his expression. He has a long neck into good shoulders, his chest is deep enough and straight forelegs. He has good ribbing and good length of body, a good topline , his thigh is not as broad but with long and well turned stifles. standing on good feet, I’d prefer better elbow placement while moving.

1st, ( 130 ) HUTCHINSON’S ZENOBIA JUST AN ILLUSION WITH SWEETAURORA JW – -- I have judged this 19 months old bridle boy before and I have liked his type. he has a nice head which is well proportioned, correct ear set and correct eye shape with alert expression, he is balanced through out with lovely curves, Graceful arched neck into well laid back shoulders, Good front and rear construction and used his rear end with purpose coming and going, he has strong and broad rear and well let down hocks Well sprung pasterns.

2nd, ( 122 ) BROOK’S COLLOONE FOR YOUR EYES ONLY JW –Another brindle male of 21 months of age, he has matured well since I judged him last time. He has a pleasing outline which is full of breed type, lovely head with good expression, neat ear set, strong jaws with correct complete scissor bite, long and muscular neck into well laid back shoulders , straight forelegs with correct bone structure, he has a well curved topline and good length of body with broad and powerful muscular rear end, He Stands on arched feet and moved out well.. hard decision between 1 and 2 today.

1st, ( 121 ) BLENKARN’S PENWINCOED MAJOR NORTH OF HAREGHYLL - 3 year old brindle male on a large frame, not my usual type but he has a lovely head with good ear set, . He has a good muscular neck into good shoulders, straight legs with good bone structure. Deep chest with lovely topline and curl up at the bottom. Strong and broad thigh with well turned stifles, well let down hocks led to good arched feet. moved out well with reach and drive and definitely the best mover in this class.

2nd, ( 123 ) BURTON’S BALLENBREICH HARRIS JW - just over 2 year old brindle male, He has lovely head with good ear set, pleasing outline with correct head and lovely expressions, elegant and long neck into correct shoulders, I’d prefer him with bit more bone and muscle , good length of body with well-developed rear end, well let down hocks, moved well with good feet.

1st, ( 132 ) LESLIE’S WINDWALKER EDDIE BROCK – A good sized 3 year old Parti brindle male, he has a correct head and ear set, correct eye shape and good length of muzzle, long neck into good shoulders, deep chest with straight forelegs. He has a good top line and underline. Strong thighs with well turned stifles, well let down hocks and standing on good arched feet. good tail set and moved well with good reach and drive.

2nd, ( 128 ) CAMPBELL’S WILLOWASH THE MAGINIFICENT – Another 3 year old fawn male with plenty bones , well up to size both in height and length. He has good overall profile with good head and flat skull, nice eye shape with good expression. Elegant long neck into well muscled shoulders. Straight forelegs with correct bone structure. Deep chest with good top line and bottom line. He has strong thighs and well turned stifles, moved out well with good feet.

1st, ( 153 ) WINKLEY-BALMER & WINKLEY’S EDENWHIP CALL ME AT NIGHT -- This 2 year old fawn male caught my eyes as soon as he entered into the ring. He has a good head with flat skull, good length of muzzle with complete scissor bite. correct eye shape with a pleasing expression. Elegant long arched neck into well laid back shoulders, well filled front with deep chest to give him enough heart room, well sprung ribs and well muscled back arched over his loin, good top line and tucked up underline. Strong and well muscled rear end and well turned stifles, well let down hocks and standing square., moved out free and easy with reach and drive. It’s a joy to go over him . I was so glad to watch him winning the hound group and reserve best in show. ( BOB, HG1, RBIS)

2nd, ( 129 ) HUNTER’S CH COLLOONEY WAS MMEANT TO BE AT SULAHMARA JW ShCEx OSW -- Another good example of the breed, 3 year old parti brindle male, pleasing outline. good head with correct ear set, good shape of eyes with alert expression. Good length of muzzle with complete scissor bite, strong long neck into well laid back shoulders, good front and deep chest, well spung ribs with good tuck up , nice long back with just enough over the loin, muscular and broad rear end with good turn of stifles, standing and moved with good arched feet. he really works hard for his handler. I really liked his overall profile.

1st, ( 150 ) WALTON’S COLLOONEY BERRY BERRY AT SNOWFLIGHT -- 12 month old brindle bitch today and it’s her last puppy class. Lovely head with correct ear set, good length of muzzle with correct scissor bite, nice long arched neck into good shoulders, well filled front for her age. Straight front legs with correct bone structure. Deep chest with enough heart room. She has good top line and underline with enough tuck up. Nice long back with strong well turned rear end , well let down hocks and moved out well with good feet.

2nd, ( 151 ) WINKLEY-BALMER’S EDENWHIP MOONSTURCK -- 11 month old parti brindle bitch with pleasing outlook. Pretty head with good eye shape, nice long neck into good turn of shoulders, straight legs with good bone, good top line and tuck up, slightly longer in body than I’d prefer, she has a strong rear end and good turn of stifle, moved out well with good feet, she uses her rear end well when moving.

Class 210 YEARLING BITCH 6 ( 2 )

1st, ( 152 ) WINKLEY-BALMER’S EDENWHIP SEE HER SPARKLE -- 21 months old fawn bitch, well sized both in height and length but well proportioned. She has a lovely head with flat skull, nice ear set , good shape of eyes showing intelligence, beautiful long neck into well laid back shoulders, well muscled front with good straight legs, good top line with a strong arch over the loin , good turn of stifle and standing on good feet. moved out well with reach and drive, well handled.

2nd, ( 124 ) CAMPBELL’S BELCREST DAISY -- very similar to 1, 13 months old fawn bitch, nice head and good shape of eye, strong muzzle with correct scissor bite, long neck into well laid shoulders, well muscled front with deep chest, good straight legs. Good length of body with well sprung ribbing, strong and well turned stifles, standing on good arched feet, moved ok.

Class 211 GRADUATE BITCH 2 ( 1 )

1st, ( 141 ) PARKINSON’S HOLOGEM YOU WERE MADE FOR ME -- 2 year and 8 month old red brindle bitch, I have judged before. She has nice head with strong muzzle with complete scissor bite, correct eye shape with good expression. Nice long neck into good turn of shoulders, deep chest and straight legs. She has well sprung ribs and correct tuck up but She didn’t quite have the topline I was looking for. She has a Strong thigh with good turn of stifle, moved ok.

Class 212 LIMIT BITCH 4 ( 0 )

1st, ( 133 ) LESLIE’S WINDWALKER IN A HEART BEAT -- A pretty 3 1/2 year old fawn bitch, good head with slight stop, correct ear set. Good eye shape showing pleasant expression. Long arched neck into well muscled shoulder with good turn, deep chest with straight legs, well spung ribs with enough tuck up, long back with an arch over the loin , strong rear end with good turn and well down hocks, moved well. Hard decision between 1 and 2.

2nd, ( 139 ) PARKINSON’S CROSSCOP YOU’RE STILL THE ONE FOR GROOMSVILLE – Pretty 4 and half year old fawn bitch, she has beautiful head with correct eye shape, showing alert expression. Nice long neck into good shoulders, good front with deep chest, good length of body with good ribbing, I’d prefer her with a bit more curve on top , she has long and strong rear end and but did not use them well coming and going.

3rd, ( 147 ) SWAN’S CROSSCOP FLY ME TO THE MOON AT CYGNETSNEST

1st, ( 140 ) PARKINSON’S GROOMSVILLE HOLOGEM HEAVENS DREAM -- 4 year old red brindle bitch, I have judged her before, she has pleasing outline , good head with neat ears. Long neck into well turned shoulders, deep chest with enough heart room, straight legs with correct bone structure. She has well sprung ribbing and good curves , sweeping strong muscular hindquarters, well let down hocks and stands on good feet, moved well.

2nd, ( 135 ) LISTER & SWARBRICK’S EDENWHIP HIGH CUP NICK -- 7 year old pretty bitch who is so feminine , she has a beautiful flowing outline, correct head with neat ears, correct eye shape showing gentle expression, coat is fine , nice long neck into good turn of shoulders, deep chest with just enough heart room. She is balanced throughout with lovely curves, beautiful strong rear end and definitely uses them well coming and going, hard decision between 1 and 2.
