Gundogs, Adult Handling & Yearling Stakes

AVNSC Gundog Puppy 6 (2 Absent)

1st Braine’s Chilternway Allium

7 &1/2 month old Weimaraner male, he presents a very balanced outline. Pleasing head, kind and intelligent expression. Moderate length of neck into well laid back shoulders. Good amount of forechest, straight foreleg and good bone, standing on tight feet. Good depth and length to his body, short loin. He has an excellent rear, moderate bend with lovely thickness to his thigh. He has well let down parallel hocks. When he got moving and settled he produces a balanced outline, he is a dog with power and sadly the ring was quite small so was difficult for him to get into his stride. Best AVNSC Gundog Puppy.

2nd Apps’ Rosgar Fly Me To The Moon

6 Month old Golden Retriever baby at his and his mums first show. He presents a very pleasing shape and outline. He has a lovely head and expression, dark eye and good chisseling. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders, good depth of chest, excellent bone and good feet. He has a level topline which he held at all times. He has correct length to height ratio. He is well angulated in the rear and uses that to drive round the ring. He is tidy on the move and very sound. Enjoy him!

Reserve Cunningham’s Brunwickes Estelle Golden Retriever

AVNSC Gundog Junior 2 Entries

1st Dighton’s Amidala Cosmopolitan at Evaluna

16 month GSP, balanced bitch with a pleasing outline. Pretty head and kind expression. She has a good length of neck and good front assembly. I would like her to have more bone and better feet. She has good depth, good length of rib and short coupled. She has a level topline held well on the move. She has good rear angles and well let down hocks. Tidy coming, a touch wide going away but moved soundly in profile.

2nd Gregory’s Babtonkelpie Trolley Dolly

13 month Cocker Spaniel, she is a nice size a presents a pleasing shape. She has a sweet head with good work. She has a very good lay of shoulder, would prefer a better angle of upper arm. She has the correct spring of rib, but is a touch long. I’d also want more rear angulation. She moved soundly just preferred the topline of 1 today.

AVNSC Gundog Post Graduate 11 Entries (5 abs)

1st Petts’ Rumwood Solar Eclipse

Nearly 3 year old Golden Retriever bitch. Presents a beautifully balanced shape. Lovely head and expression. She’s a little upright in shoulder but she has a good return of upper arm and good forechest. She has a level topline held at all times. She has excellent hindquarters, with good thickness to her thigh. She moved very well in profile covering the ground well.

2nd Dighton’s Evaluna Keep Your Eyes On Me

20 months Pointer bitch, I’d prefer more refinement through the head. She is a balanced bitch, sloping well laid shoulders and good depth of chest. Well sprung ribs of the correct length and short coupled. She has good rear angles and well let down hocks. Very nice to go over. Moved very soundly with a good length of stride.

1st Perren’s Evaluna Chasing Rainbows with Hookward JW

4 year old pointer bitch who took my eye immediately for her type and balance. Pretty head with a good expression. Good length of neck into a well placed shoulder and even return of upper arm. She has good depth and length of ribs. Short coupled, slightly sloping topline and good rear angulation. She was tidy coming and going showing a typical pointer gait and covered the ground well in profile soundly. Best AVNSC Gundog and thrilled she went Reserve Best In Show.

2nd Bell’s Curlycrest’s Sweet Home Chicago (Imp Nor) JW

Another quality Flatcoated Retriever male, not quite 2 and presents a super outline. He has a beautiful one piece head with dark eye and soft expression. I found him a touch overweight today. Lovely neck into excellent lay of shoulder. Not quite the return of upper arm i’d like but thats the only thing I could fault him on. He has good depth all through excellent rearquarters with super thickness, he used these to drive round the ring soundly and true, also shown in excellent coat. Reserve Best AVNSC Gundog.

3rd Kemp’s Arrowbien Ivy Queen

Reserve Pett’s Rumwood Three Times A Lady

AVNSC Gundog Veteran 1 Entry

1st Pett’s Lady In Red De Ambersclan of Rumwood VW

10 year old lovely golden retriever in such good condition. Beautiful head and expression. Good lay of shoulder, slightly short in upper arm. She has good ribbing and is short in body and loin. She has good depth and lovely rear angulation with good thickness behind. She is super sound covering the ground well. Not the tidiest going away but sound and tidy coming towards, a super example of how this breed should mature. Best AVNSC Veteran.

AV Imported Breed Register Gundog Open

1st Fynn’s Huntingtales Good Will Hunting

15 month slovakian rough haired pointer. Raw young lad who needs plenty of time to mature. Presents a decent shape with some nice angles and balanced at both ends. I found him rather wide behind and that showed also when he moved. He is tidy coming towards and when settled moved okay in profile, would prefer better length of stride. Best AV Gundog Import.

Adult Handling 17 years +

1st Heather Taylor

Excellent handler. Handling her dog very empathetically. Tidy lines and never got in the way of myself and the dog. Could not fault her. Best Adult Handler.

2nd Jade Rigby

Sympathetically handled her dog. Tidy straight lines, she did however get between myself and the dog. Handled with confidence with good engagement with her dog.

3rd Holly Husk

AV Special Yearling Stakes 8 Entries (2 abs)

1st Milham’s Droyales One and Only at Shadowshack JW

19 month GSD immediately caught my eye as if to say whos 2nd. So balanced and so well made all through. Loved her head and expression. She has excellent forehand construction, good bone, i’d being picky would like better feet. She has moderate rear angles with good thickness, straight topline held well on the move. She was tidy out and back and covered the ground well in profile, she was so sound I had no hesitation awarding her this stakes class.

2nd Husk’s Xentader’s Amazing Grace

18 month old doberman bitch. Balanced outline, pleasing head and expression. Lovely make and shape, level strong topline, good forechest good depth. She has good bone and tight feet.
