I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge at a great show, and to the exhibitors for allowing me to go over their lovely dogs.

Pointer

Puppy (2)

1st – Booth’s: Lundgarth Ticket to Fly

A smart youngster with plenty to like. Pleasing head and expression with good overall balance. Clean neck into well laid shoulders, correct body lines and firm enough topline. She’s very nicely made with good legs and feet. Moved with purpose, free and effortless, covering the ground well and keeping the outline at all times. A confident, happy character which helped secure her win. BPIB

2nd – Batchelor’s: Wilchrimane Bat’s All

Another pleasing youngster, presented in good order and giving a balanced, yet masculine picture. Clean through neck and shoulder with correct proportions and sound enough construction. On the day just not quite the same drive and flow on the move as 1st, which decided the placings.

Junior (1,1)

1st – Booth & Oddie’s: Lundgarth Fly The Flag JW

A nicely made youngster of good type. Pleasing outline with clean lines and balanced proportions. Straight forelegs with correct feet and enough body for age. Moved soundly and he showed well; presented a steady picture.

1st – Gordon’s: Hawkfield Happy Times JW

Quality 2 year old bitch with a lovely head and expression. Clean neck into a good front assembly and correct body lines, with strength over loin and well-muscled quarters. Moved freely and very much at one with the job, showing a light, ground-covering action with good drive. An absolute joy for character and attitude today. BOB

Open (2)

1st – Moss’s: Davigdor Poppies

A quality, experienced nearly 4 year old bitch, who stood out for overall balance and classic outline. Feminine head and expression, clean through neck and shoulder and a pleasing topline. Good depth and spring of rib with a short, strong loin and well-developed quarters. On the move she covered the ground well with reach and drive, holding a sound picture.

2nd – Gordon’s: Hawkfield Pemberley

A strong, well-muscled 5 year old dog with good substance. Balanced body with plenty of strength through the quarters. Presented in good condition and gave a sound account of himself, just not quite matching the overall finish of 1st on the day.

Lagotto Romagnolo

Puppy (1)

1st – Cox’s: Amadar Wake Up Little Susie

A young exhibit at one of her first shows. Settled as we went along and started to show herself to advantage. Typical Lagotto in outline, with the correct rustic appearance and a compact, workmanlike body. Pleasing head and expression, good bone, and a correctly textured coat for age. Once more confident, she moved positively and held her shape. A promising youngster. BOB, BPIB
