I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge Italian Spinone and Spanish Water Dogs at the show. It was a lovely showground with a fantastic atmosphere and the weather even held up! Thank you also to the stewards who helped run the ring efficiently.

Puppy (2)

1st – Capille’s: Lendever's Icing On The Cake

11-month-old dog, black with white markings. In his short coat today, with nothing to hide, you could still see his quality. Lovely temperament and clearly happy to be in the ring, very much a playful puppy. Typical head and skull with a short, strong neck sitting nicely into shoulders. Well-muscled throughout but not overdone, and correct for his age. Good level topline and correct front and rear assembly. On the move, he had powerful drive. RBOB

2nd Capille’s: Lendever's Jump The Gun

9 month-old black bitch. Another nice puppy who was happy and playful. Feminine head and a strong neck leading in to solid shoulders with excellent angulation of shoulder and upper arm. Nice deep chest with well sprung ribs, level topline and well-developed thighs. Nice and robust throughout, a little more compact than 1st place, which is fine at this age. Very close to taking the class, but didn’t quite have the same drive as 1st place today.

Junior (1)

1st Capille’s: Lendever's Keep Up With Me

8-month-old brown and white bitch. What a lovely surprise she was, full of character and brought smiles all around. What she lacked in ring experience, she more than made up in breed type and movement. Well-muscled and robust throughout, but not heavy in bone. Beautiful expression on a feminine head. Nice short neck with fantastically assembled straight and parallel legs. Deep chest, level topline with a strong loin. The Hindquarters matched the forequarters, giving a beautiful balance to this bitch. On the move she was excellent and effortlessly covering ground with parallel front and rear action, holding her topline. Excited to see how she matures. BOB, BPIB. Delighted to hear she went on to win RBIS later in the day, well deserved.

1st Capille’s: Zorrazo King Regards at Lendever

3-year-old white and brown dog. In a full coat, rustic with a nice woolly texture with curly ended cords. Robust young dog with a lovely bond with his handler. Kind expression, strong masculine head and well-muscled forequarters. Deep chest, well sprung ribs and level topline. I would have liked to see more drive in his movement.
