Giant schnauzer Championship show 19th October 2025

 – Special classes.

I was honored to be invited to judge the special classes, and very grateful for my generous entry allowing me to obtain my required breed numbers after 12 years judging the breed.

SAC – Puppy dog/bitch (entries 2, 0 absent)

1st – Miss J Clayton’s Dreamcatcher De Barba Negra at Philoma (Imp FCA), Lovely bitch, beautiful head planes, dark eye and strong muzzle, well laid shoulders and moved with reach and drive, well bodied.

2nd – Ms B Evans, Mountslemish Jery Cruncher, harsh jacket, good ear set, typical expression and well let down ribs.

SAC – Junior dog/bitch (entries 2, 0 absent)

1st Ms G Willetts, Philoma the Professional, truly striking dog, moved around the ring with such ease, handled and presented to perfection, very well bodied, great forechest, well let down ribs, well laid shoulders, lovely harsh jacket, and true schnauzer head. Really stood out.

2nd Mrs L Ashworth, Sibberings Wicket Maiden, nice bitch, good strong head, nice shoulders, and rear angulation, lacking the body of 1.

SAC Open Dog/Bitch (entries 12, 1 absent)

1st Mr and Mrs K&S Cullen, Ch Sir Constantine De Barba Negra at Philoma (Imp FCA), absolutely adore this dog, really beautiful male, well bodied, dark eyes, harsh jacket, lovely arched neck, leading into well laid shoulders, has plenty of forchest and lovely spring of ribs, moves around the ring with purpose and intensity a true Giant Schnauzer.

2nd Mrs, Mr and Mrs E, K and S Descere, Desceras and Pearce Ch Stablemaster’s Twist (Imp FIN), another lovely giant, has correct angles and is presented immaculately, great head and pigment, ears set on well, not quite the substance of 1st,
