Miniature Pinscher Club

Breed: Miniature Pinscher

The Miniature Pinscher Club Ch show 3/5/2025

A thoroughly enjoyable morning with the Min Pins and an appointment I had been very much looking forward to, many thanks to the Committee for their kind invitation. A great start with some promising baby puppies, I’ll be watching their progress this year with interest, made me rather broody! Overall, I think the males were stronger in this entry today with several worthy of a green card. Great to see several veterans in the classes in wonderful condition and still showing happily, a great credit to their owners.

Baby PD (2)

1. Urwin, Urwin & James' Jaegerson Kingsman. Richly coloured red lad of ideal size, square, well-bodied and already has a pleasing outline. Attractive well balanced head,  small well set on ears and the darkest eyes giving an alert expression, with lovely dense nose pigment. He stands well on straight front legs and neat feet. Good length of neck which flows nicely into well laid shoulders, firm topline and well angulated hindquarters. Confident and coordinated on the move with some lift in front. Happy to award him Reserve Best Baby Puppy in Show

2. Swift’s Maui Demigod. Bigger built well balanced b/t boy, sporting a gleaming raven black jacket and rich tans. Masculine head with a strong underjaw, dark correctly shaped eyes with a keen expression, slightly broader in back skull than winner but flat between his well set ears. Nicely arched neck leading to strong topline and a good sweep of stifle. When concentrating, he moved quite well with some lift in front, he was at times a bit barky and distracted, so is going to need plenty of time to get the hang of this showing lark and understand what is required of him.

Baby PB (3)

1. James’ Jagerson Centrefold. This quality and very pretty red girl had the edge in terms of maturity in this class being nearly 6 months. Ideal size and already a confident and attentive showgirl accentuating her well balanced, compact and well bodied profile. She has a feminine nicely balanced head of good length, skull is flat between small erect ears  dark well shaped eyes and excellent pigment. Standing on straight front legs and neat feet, she has a decent neck leading to well placed shoulders, firm topline and lovely sweep of stifle. Her movement is co-ordinated and true. BBPB and Best Baby Puppy in show, she just had a little more lift in from than her equally nice littler mate who took the BPD class

2. King’s Adurus Constellation NAF. Much younger promising b/t girl at just 4 months, sporting a black glossy coat with well defined tans. What a very pretty pup, I liked her head very much, feminine, well balanced with small erect ears and the darkest of well shaped eyes. Nice straight legs and small cat like feet, decent length of neck, well placed shoulders, firm topline, short coupled and well bent stifles. I saw glimpses of coordinated movement and am looking forward to seeing her again as she matures.

3. Holman’s Adurus Lynn Star NAF. Feminine litter sister to constellation, and lots to like about her too, not quite so coordinated on the move as yet, but plenty of time to develop.

PD (1)

1. Park’s Rayjen Rum and Raisin. 8 month b/t lad shown in gleaming condition, very fit and well bodied for his age, he has a pleasing compact outline with desired slight slope to his topline. Masculine head, a touch strong in cheeks for me, well shaped very dark eyes with a keen expression and neat well set on ears. Good front assembly, straight front legs and small neat feet, decent length of neck, leading to well placed shoulders and good rear angulation. When he concentrates, he can move quite well, with strong rear action, just a little restricted in front. BPD and Best Puppy in Show.

JD (2)

1. Mitchell’s Alcum Tee Rex. Quality red boy of ideal size who appeals for his square and compact profile with the desired slight slope to his topline all making a balanced pleasing picture. Lovely head, again balanced and ideal proportions, flat skull, correct ear set, dark expressive eyes and strong underjaw. Standing on straight front legs with small well padded feet. Nicely arched neck, fitting nicely into well placed shoulders, short coupled body and well angulated rear. On the move, he is confident, coordinated and has a proper hackney action in front with good drive from behind. Shows lots of promise.

2. Coull’s Vardenais Hot As Hell. Another very nice red boy shown in gleaming condition, compact and well bodied, with the desired slightly sloping topline. Lovely masculine headpiece, expressive dark eyes and strong, well-set ears and very good pigment. Nicely arched neck which leads to well placed shoulders. Standing on straight front legs and neat feet.  Strong rear with good width to thighs and well bent stifles. A collected and positive mover, particularly out and back, with good drive from behind. In profile, couldn’t quite match the front action or tail carriage on the move of the winner today.

YD (2,1abs)

1. Watkins’ Hawksflight American Jazz JW. Red boy, ideal for size and such an attentive showman always setting himself up to best advantage. I liked his compact and well bodied profile. Masculine well balanced headpiece, expressive dark eyes and small well-set ears which he wasn’t using very well today. Very good front assembly, strong neck with slight arch leading to well placed shoulders, firm slightly sloping topline and well angulated rear. Shown in gleaming jacket and fit hard condition. Came into his own on the move, powering around the ring with good drive and lift from behind and moving true in front with a co-ordinated proper hackney action.

PGD (5,1abs)

1. Holman’s Adurus Golden Fleece. This red boy stood out for me in this class. Shown in super coat and condition with a nicely balanced profile. Handsome, classic head with well set, small strong ears, well shaped eyes and a keen expression. Nice arch to his neck, well placed shoulders into a strong short slightly sloping topline and correct tail set. On the go around his well bent stifles and strong hocks enabled him to drive from behind, with coordinated front hackney action. In the dog challenge he caught my eye again on the move and I was happy to award him the RDCC much to the delight of his owner and fellow exhibitors whose huge cheer nearly raised the roof!

2. McLoughlin’s Krieger’s Kilted Dragon. B/t lad with a nicely balanced outline, slightly smaller in build than the winner. Pleasing masculine head with good muzzle length, small well set ears and very dark eyes with a keen expression. Decent front assembly with straight legs, he can stand a little untidily on the stack. Ample neck leading to well placed shoulders, firm topline and well angulated rear. Sporting a well marked glossy jacket. Moved out with purpose with good drive from behind, not quite the animated hackney of the winner but he did have good reach.

3. Soper’s Dobenar Leonidas

LD (2,1abs)

1. King’s Adurus Pyledriver. Well marked b/t boy in gleaming condition and good for size with a pleasing profile with slight slope to his topline. Lovely head, flat skull skull between his well set ears, dark well shaped eyes with an alert expression and strong underjaw. Neck has slight arch and fits smoothly into his well placed shoulders, good depth and breadth of chest, nicely angulated rear and his tail set on and carried well. On the move and when he concentrates, he showed that he has good reach in front with some lift and strength from behind.

OD (5)

1. James’ Ch Jaegerson The Edge JW. Eye catching b/t lad who is such an attentive showman, always sets himself up nicely standing four square. Masculine head of good length, well set neat ears, very dark well shaped eyes with a keen expression. Decent front assembly, with good depth and breadth of fore chest. Slightly arched neck fits nicely into his shoulders, firm topline with slight slope and good angulations front and back. His coat was gleaming. Won this class on his positive and accurate movement with good lift in from and drive from behind.

2. Santoriello’s Pinicio Red Rebellion JW. Well balanced red boy of ideal size and lovely breed type. Masculine head  with good muzzle length, dark well shaped eyes with a keen expression and small well-set ears. Decent front assembly, straight legs and neat cat like feet. Well bodied and short coupled with a slightly sloping topline with a good sweep of stifle. Shown in great coat and condition. Not always cooperating on the, move but once he settled to the task in hand, he has great hackney action with good drive from behind.

3. King’s Allcum Tiger King at Adurus.

CHD (4)

1. Watkins & Bugden’s Ch Hawksflight Hot Pursuit JW. Red lad of ideal size presenting such a balanced and elegant outline, and a natural showman, setting himself up perfectly four square on the stack and powering around the ring with drive from the rear with a cracking coordinated hackney action in front. Super head, balanced, masculine with well shaped eyes, neat ears and strength to his underjaw. Good front assembly, compact and well bodied with slight slope to his topline and well bent stifles. Shown in fit condition, his coat was gleaming. Well deserved DCC and later Reserve Best in Show. A close run thing, the stunning BCC winner just keep drawing my eye back to her and she was in top form today so she got the nod for BIS.

2. Hewitt’s Ch Adurus Sundance Kid for Catamyrann JW. Another lovely well balanced red lad full of quality. Ideal for size, compact and well bodied with slightly sloping topline to his well set on tail. Lovely head, balanced with strength, small neat ears and dark eyes with a keen expression. Nice arch to his neck, leading to well placed shoulders, good fore chest, straight front legs and small cat like feet. Good bend to his stifles which enabled him to lift and drive from behind with a good hackney action in front. All topped off with a glossy jacket. Called him back in for challenge for the RDCC and it was close run thing between him and Golden Fleece, who looking at the catalogue afterwards realised they are brothers! Golden fleece just had that little bit more animated hackney on the move today so got the nod.

3. Westerman’s Ch Charpin Ottomatic JW

VD (4,1abs)

1. James’ Ch Jaegerson Dress To Impress JW. Lovely b/t boy shown in fit muscular condition and glossy coat and an attentive showman too. He has a pleasing well balanced and short coupled outline, and is of ideal size. Attractive head and alert expression, dark eyes and neat well set ears. His nicely arched neck fits smoothly into well placed shoulders, good depth and breath of chest, straight front legs and neat feet. Firm topline, good bend of stifle and a strong rear which he uses to advantage on the move. BVD.

2. McLoughlin’s Darkiss Fast N Furious. B/t boy, nearly 10 years old and looking very well, sporting a lovely glossy coat, his tans showing a little distinguished frosting. I liked his head proportions, neat ears and dark eyes. He is well bodied with a good depth and breadth of chest, straight front legs and neat feet. He still has a firm topline which slopes gently to his well set on tail and good sweep of stifle. Moved around the with purpose retaining his topline.

3. Harrison & Reddington’s Ch Trenson Flummadiddle ShCM

JB (3)

1. Coull’s Vardenais The Heat Is On. Well balanced red girl with a lovely head, very feminine and nicely proportioned, her ears are a little large at the moment but erect and well-set. Dark well shaped eyes giving a keen expression. Nicely arched neck into well placed shoulders, standing on neat, cat-like feet. Pleasing body shape; with fair depth down to her elbows, firm topline with slight slope to well set on tail. Good angulations front and back, enabled her to move really well around the ring with a good hackney front action and drive from the rear. Her coat was gleaming.

2. Mitchell’s Alcum Suzie Que. Another nice red youngster, keen and alert and full of quality. She has slightly more bone and substance than the winner but was a little less coordinated in front action today. Feminine head, of good length, flat skull between her neat well set small ears. Good front assembly, straight front legs, good depth of rib, lovely arched neck fitting smoothly into well placed shoulders, topline slopes slightly to correct tail set.  Moved out confidently with good drive from her strong hindquarters, just losing her top-line a little on the move. A close call and I can see these two girls swapping places over the summer shows.

3. Hind’s Alcum Siouxisie Siox Diamoneo Clear.

PGB (2)

1. Hartley & Fahey’s Sticmaze Slapstick with Zoomeera. Taller well bodied red girl who won the class on her more typical hackney action. Good head with a pleasing expression, nicely arched neck, straight front legs and neat feet. I would have liked a little more slope to her topline, well angulated hindquarters and her tail was set on and carried well. On the go around she was rushing a little to start with, but once she settled she  moved out well both in profile and coming and going.

2. Whetter’s Rayjen Strawberry Tart at Mandolais. Much smaller red girl, all in proportion, with a balanced feminine head, lovely small ears, correct shaped eye although could be a little darker. Nicely arched neck, short coupled with a good topline, strong rear and good tail set. Her jacket was in lovely condition. Moved out positively with good drive in the rear, just a little restricted in front movement.

LB (4)

1. Coull’s Vardenais Petite Noir. This well bodied b/t girl stood out for me with her lovely outline topped off with a glossy jacket and well defined tan markings. Her pretty head is very feminine yet strong and of good length, small neat ears and her very dark eyes give a keen expression. Lovely arched neck which fits smoothly into a super topline and tail set. Her hindquarters are well muscled with a good bend of stifle down to strong hocks which enabled her to drive off from behind with a pleasing coordinated hackney movement in front. She caught my eye again in the challenge for her shapely outline, happy to award her the RBCC

2. French’s Pinicio Pirouette JW. Pretty b/t girl who is slightly long coupled than the winner and could carry a tad less weight to advantage, but earned her place on her well co-ordinated hackney action. Feminine head of good length, expressive dark eyes and small neat well set ears. Ample neck, good breadth and depth of chest and she stands straight and square on neat cat like feet. Good topline and tail set all topped off with a glossy coat. Her hindquarters are strong with a good bend of stifle which helped her to move really well.

3. Scott’s Maynell Almost An Angel

OB (2)

1. Urwin’s Vickstock Wow Aneeva JW. Smaller well balanced red girl, felt she had the slightly better profile, which earned her first place in this class. Lovely head, very pretty with small neat ears which she used all the time, her dark eyes had a keen alert expression. Her neck fits nicely into her slightly sloping topline and well set tail. She has a good depth and breath of chest, straight front legs and cat like feet. Strong rear with good sweep of stifle and strong hocks. Sporting a glossy jacket, she moved out well with an adequate break at the wrist.

2. Scott’s Keljantzi’s Zelda to Maynell JW. Heavier built b/t girl, compact and sturdy in appearance and sporting a glossy jacket. Pretty head with dark eyes and rather high set ears. Pleasing front assembly with straight legs and good depth of chest to tight elbows and small neat feet. She has a good sweep of stifle and moved out with purpose with some lift in front.

CHB (3,1abs)

1. Stracey’s Ch Krieger’s Kiss N Tell JW. Stunning b/t girl, I kept being drawn to her both in her class and the challenge. She has such a lovely profile, so balanced, compact with a slightly sloping topline and she is the ultimate showgirl, showing herself off to best advantage naturally standing foursquare. Beautiful head, very feminine but with strength, the darkest of eyes with a keen expression and strong underjaw. Her nicely arched neck flows into good shoulders, good depth and breath of chest straight front legs on neat feet. She has good angulations front and back and her tail is set on and carried correctly. Shown in great condition with a gleaming raven black jacket and rich tans. It was on the move that she really came into her own, powering around the ring, driving off from her strong hocks and a coordinated very typical hackney action in front. Delighted to award the BCC and later a well deserved Best In Show.

2. James’ Ch Jaegerson Cracks The Code. A lovely red girl of ideal size, full of breed type with a lovely profile and close fitting glossy jacket. She has a feminine head and her skull is flat between her small well-set ears, her dark expressive eyes give a keen expression. Her neck arches nicely and flows smoothly into her correct front assembly standing on straight front legs and good feet. Sturdy body, square with slight slope to her well set on tail. Moves with good reach in front and strength from behind, couldn’t quite match the animated hackney action of the winner.

VB (1)

1. Griffiths’ Ch Keljantzi Xciting Prospect for Amious JW ShCM. Lovely b/t girl, 8 years old, and a real credit to her owner as shown in great condition with a close fitting glossy jacket, her profile was very good, square compact with a slight slope to her topline. Pretty head, very feminine yet with desired strength, neat well set ears and dark eyes with an alert expression.  Lovely arched neck into well placed shoulders; well bodied; with depth to tight elbows, straight front legs and small cat like feet. She has a strong rear with a good bend of stifle and she moved out well both in profile and coming and going with some lift in front. Delighted to award her BVB and later Best Veteran in Show.
