VD (2)

1. Swinge’s Ch Harpersband Case In Point At Balthazar (Imp Rus) Handsome R/R, not showing his age at all and in fabulous coat for his age. Nicely balanced head with good breath to his skull, pleasing eyes and ears, definite stop and prominent chin all aiding his expression. Good reach of neck, level back, well angulated rear and his tail is set on high. Such a willing showman, moving soundly in all directions. BVD and BVIB.

2 Gullon’s Ch Barnfall Sunshine JW OSW VW. Smaller R/R lad and not carrying as much coat as the winner today. Attractive head and expression, with moderate breadth to his skull, small neat ears set on well, dark round eyes which are placed well apart, good nostrils, and prominent chin. Well constructed all through and he stands straight in front on neat feet with good width to his chest, firm top line, nice and short in the loin, good croup and tail set. Went well on the go around.

1. Omre’s Admiravel Feeling Bullish. R/R 9 months well constructed cobby youngster with ample bone and good outline with moderate neck to balance, although I wouldn't want him any bigger. Lovely head and expression, neat ears, relatively short muzzle of good width and prominent chin. Pleasing angles front and rear, secure top line and good tail set. Gaiting freely on the go around. BPD

2. Finlay-Kirkwood & Finlay-Kirkwood’s Grajenco Red Valentino. R/S lad who has lots to like, appealing for overall type and carrying good bone and substance for his age. Shown in lovely coat and condition, his jacket is a gorgeous rich red colour. Masculine head which is still developing, with dark round eyes, neat well set ears. His muzzle could perhaps have a little more breadth. Good neck, firm top line and nicely angulated front and back. He wasn’t so settled on the move as the winner today, but I did see glimpses of sound movement.

1. Swinge & Price’s Marquant Remember Me. A very smart R/R boy, lovely for size and shape, topped off with a richly coloured harshly textured coat. Super head and expression, ears of correct size , well placed dark round eyes, definite stop and prominent chin all giving a typical expression. He’s well made all through with good angulations, short back, well sprung ribs, nice short loin and tail of good carriage. Moved particularly well on the go around and strong contender for the RDC, just giving away on maturity today, but one to watch.

2. Price & Burns’ Marquant New Order. R/R youngster who I see is litter brother to the winner and who also has lots to like, square and quite cobby in profile with good body and substance for his age. Moderate length of neck, firm through his top line and tail set on well. He wasn’t as confident on the table as his brother but once on the ground and got going, he gaited around the ring confidently just needing to firm up a little in front.

3. Moorhouse’s Bruneaver Inkheart Of Voodoo Moon.

LD (6)

1. Mackay & Mackay’s Osthaen A Kind Of Magic. A very smart and showy B/T smooth, well boned with plenty of substance and shown in super coat and condition with well defined markings too. Quality head with masculine expression; well shaped skull, ears of correct set, dark round eyes of good placement in the skull, open nostrils and prominent chin. Well built throughout, and he stands straight in front with good width of chest, moderate length of neck, firm through the top line, good ribbing and tail set. He impressed on the move, gaiting around freely and stylishly and sound as they come, which gave him the edge both in this class and the dog challenge. I kept being drawn back to him in the challenge, just something about him and was delighted to award him the DCC in a competitive dog line up.

2. Blore’s Movalian Firestorm. Lovely rich colour to this R/R cobby lad who appeals for size and type. Moderate length of neck leading to well laid shoulders, firm top line and nicely angulated rear. Pleasing head and expression, ears set on high, round dark eyes, relatively short muzzle of good width and prominent chin. Sound on the move could be moved at slightly faster pace to advantage.

3. Potts’ Adreeam Look At Me

OD (5, 1abs)

1. Allen & Selby & Whitehead’s Ch Zilcan Monkey Business. Impressive R/R, caught my eye straight away for his cobby and square outline, ample bone and substance and his harsh jacket and furnishings were presented to the best advantage. Super head, his small well carried ears are well placed on his rounded skull, dark round expressive eyes set well apart showing character in abundance, definite stop, good nostrils and prominent chin. Very good front assembly, short back, and nicely angulated rear. Moved out stylishly and soundly with a proud head carriage. It was a close run thing between him and the LD winner who was on top form today, so today took the RDCC.

2. Swinge’s Balthazar Supersonic ShCex. Slightly taller R/R shown in super condition and carrying a harsh jacket and lovely furnishings. A lot to like about this lad with a pleasing masculine headpiece of good proportions, definite stop, dark round expressive eyes, relatively short wide muzzle, good nostrils and prominent chin. His neck is nicely arched leading into a good shoulder placement, short back and well angulated rear. On the go around, he was gaiting well when viewed in profile but the winner just had the edge going away.

3. Blore’s Movalian Musketeer

PB (3)

1. Swinge’s Balthazar Shake It Off. Quality 9 month R/R, who had character in abundance and was full of beans today. Pleasing outline, cobby and square with good bone and substance for her age. Feminine head with moderate width to her skull, neat ears which are set on high, expressive eyes of good colour, correct stop, wide-open nostrils, and prominent chin. Nicely angulated front and rear, nice and short in the back, with good rib development. Her well presented harsh jacket is coming along. It was on the move that she had the edge, gaiting freely and confidently, her cheeky character shining through. BPB and BPIB, one to watch.

2. Cooper & Cooper’s Balthazar Endless Love For Settrenda. Looking at the catalogue afterwards, I see this young lady is litter sister to the winner, and she too has lots of promise and is very similar in type, with a pleasing profile. Feminine nicely proportioned head and cheeky expression, definite stop, dark round expressive eyes, relatively short wide muzzle, good nostrils and prominent chin. Slightly arched neck of good length to balance, secure top line, well developed ribbing for her age, short in loin, and her tail is set on high and of good carriage. Gaiting well when viewed in profile but her sister had the edge going away.

3. Allen & Selby & Whitehead’s Zilcan Granny Got Yagunsout TAF

1. Selby & Whitehead & Allen’s Zilcan Glitzy Gloria. This R/R girl headed a nice class of quality youngsters. She stands decidedly square and is cobby in appearance. Beautiful head, with good width and breadth to her muzzle, round dark expressive eyes, and good chin. Straight forelegs ending in neat feet with good width to her chest, firm top line, nice and short in the loin, good croup and tail set all topped off with a well presented harsh jacket. Eye catching on the move she is both sound and stylish with a good length of stride. I’m sure we’ll be hearing a lot more of her as she develops further.

2. Wood’s Delightful Lady In Red. Similar sized appealing R/R girl, good for size, bone and substance. Her feminine head is nicely proportioned with round dark eyes with a keen alert expression, her ears can settle a little and she could have a slightly more pronounced chin. Strong over the neck and shoulder, good front assembly, her short deep body gives her a cobby appearance. Level top line and well set tail all topped off with a harsh jacket. . On the go around she gaited freely, the winner just having the edge coming on. Nevertheless a promising young lady.

3. Conway’s Stormjac Princess Fiona

1. Mackay & Mackay’s Osthaen I'm Your Fantasy. Mature R/R girl perhaps carrying a little more than ideal body condition today, but she has a square and balanced outline. Moderate length of neck, firm through her top line, good angulations front and back, short in back with good ribbing and tail set on high. Attractive head with a feminine expression, dark round eyes, well placed ears and prominent chin. Carried herself well on the go around, moving soundly in all directions.

1. Selby& Whitehead & Allen’s Zilcan Toffee Apple. 2. Hick’s Datiro Tigger Point. Taller R/R girl, in her underclothes today but that said nothing to hide and you can see that she’s well constructed and cobby. She has a moderate length of neck leading to well laid shoulders, firm top line and nicely angulated rear. Pleasing head and expression, ears set on high, round dark eyes, relatively short muzzle of good width, her chin could perhaps be a fraction more prominent. Moved out well with good drive from behind, and a pleasing side profile.

3. Mackay & Mackay’s Osthaen Fire Will Reign.

OB (5)

1. Selby & Whitehead & Allen’s Zilcan Fire Cracker. Quality R/R, who caught my attention as soon as she entered the ring, appealing for her size and her cobby and compact profile, topped off with a very well presented richly coloured harsh jacket and facial furnishings to complete the picture. Delightful head, very feminine with moderate width to her skull, well set neat ears, dark round eyes , good width to her muzzle with a prominent chin. She stands straight in front with good width of chest, moderate length of neck, short level back and nicely angulated rear and well set tail. She gave a good account of herself on the move, powering around the ring with a free and easy side gait and good drive from behind. Delighted to award her the BCC and utilmateiy in a hotly contested challenge, the BOB.

2. Gullon’s Ch Datiro Chickadee JW OSW. Another lovely girl, this time a R/S with lots to like and a super temperament too. Decidedly cobby and square in profile, she maintains her top line both standing and on the move. Feminine head, neat well set ears, good turn up and chin with enough breath to her muzzle, Very good forehand, moderate neck, well laid shoulders, sort level back and nicely angulated rear. In super coat and condition. Perhaps not quite so stylish on the move as the winner but certainly one who can move out happily and soundly in all directions.

3. Swinge’s Ch Balthazar Pillow Talk.
