Three Counties Ch show 2025

What a joy to judge these very competitive classes of full of quality toys and terriers.

Special Beginners Stakes (Toy/Terrier) (36)

1. Watson & Gethings’ Vibrek You Are My Sunshine. Pomeranian lad with a pleasing well balanced compact outline topped off by a well presented coat, his well plumed tail set on high and carried flat over his back. Sweet head, neat ears and  slightly oval dark eyes with a bright expression. Well ribbed and short in back. It was on the move that he earned his place, moving freely and soundly with a lovely buoyant gait, always alert and attentive to his handler.

2. Harris’ Kulawand Wicked Womble. An eye catching Jack Russell Terrier dog of good breed type, balanced head with dark oval eyes, ears set on and used well all giving a keen expression. Strong and clean neck into well laid shoulders, easily spanned, straight topline and a good tail set. Presented in lovely coat and condition. Another attentive showman, moved out enthusiastically with great ring presence covering the ground well.

3. Simpson’s Tiny Winne Argon Targaryen (Imp Swe). Skye Terrier.

Yearling Stakes (Toy/Terrier) (28) A hotly contested class

1. O'Leary & Rutherford’s Haselorhill First Edition from Mopszawawa JW. Fawn pug lad heading up a very strong and competitive class. Liked his cobby and compact outline, nothing exaggerated. Lovely head, black mask with fine wrinkle and round dark eyes. Well made throughout with strong neck, good ribbing high and set well curled tail. His well muscled hindquarters and good angulations showed in his soundness and positive movement, all topped off with a plushy coat. Quite the showman too.

2. Ryan’s Saredon Modern Times. Showy and very appealing Jack Russell Terrier dog with lots of attitude. Smart and compact, good for both size and balance. Attractive head with keen alert expression, with well set ears and scissor bite. Strong neck, firm top line with deep ribs, spannable and well set on tail. Well presented jacket. He caught my eye on the move, with a positive ground covering action.

3. Heale & Davies’ Rhoderns Arbika of Trelawneki. Skye Terrier

Open Stakes (Toy/Terrier) (13)

1. Rutherford’ s Ch Bilohka Dawn Patrol with Potbelli JW. Feminine fawn Pug who is the ultimate showgirl, standing herself naturally foursquare and powering around the ring as if she owned it with a purposeful action and slight roll from her hindquarters. Super head and expression with that hint of mischievousness, fine wrinkle on her well pigmented head. Good front with legs set well under her, body, nicely arched neck, sturdy body and well muscled hindquarters with high set well curled tail. Didn’t put a foot wrong.

2. Herbert’s Saffini Smooth Operator at Julibidd. Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier lad, masculine all through with a lovely balanced outline with slightly arched neck of good length, firm topline, good length to ribcage, short loin and tail set on high. Liked his head, again balanced with good planes, dark eyes and very good bite. Shown in good quality coat. It was on the move that he came into his own, moving freely with a particularly  impressive profile action.

3. Addo’s Reulemill Quacajack, Jack Russell Terrier
