Many thanks to the exhibitors who braved the weather, I was really looking forward to judging at this show with the lovely big mowed grass rings, but sadly the British weather stopped that. It was a pleasure to have so many nice dogs to go over and I was thrilled to watch my BOB go on to win not only the group but take top honours with BIS, also congratulations to my BP on his Puppy Group 2. Thanks to the society for a lovely day and to my stewards for being so efficient.

Pleased to award him BP and congratulations on puppy group 2.

2nd. Dowbiggins Bruno (Mrs A Udale) b/w, a real baby in this class, he has a pleasing head with lovely thin leathers, good spring of rib but needs to drop in brisket, movement was rather erratic but nice tail action.

Open Dog; Ent: 3 Abs: 1

1st. Sh Ch Sharnphilly Boondoggle JW (Miss Oddie) what can I say about this mature b/w dog that hasn’t been said before, I won’t list all his virtues, he entered the ring like a champion and never put a foot wrong, handled to perfection as always, it was a pleasure to go over him and award him the CC and BOB. Then to watch him perform in the group and see him able to stride out and cover the ground with such ease, so pleased to see him awarded the top spot and then to see him go on to take BIS, he is such a showman, Congratulations to you.

2nd. Sh Ch Tenshilling It's My Party for Salmonmist JW OSW ShCEx (Ms S R Philo) o/w a worthy champion and unlucky to meet my winner who was on top form today, mature dog with lovely outline and shown in good hard condition, moved well and pleased to award him the RCC.

Puppy Bitch; Ent: 4 Abs: 0

1st. Sonham Just A Pretty Belle (ai) (Mrs A D Matthews) l/w not just pretty but a beautiful outline, from her aristocratic head she has the bone and substance, standing on well arched toes. Her movement when settled was good, but unfortunately, she couldn’t contain herself in the challenge for best puppy.

2nd. Lundgarth Ticket to Fly (Mrs S E Booth)

3rd. Raigmore Titania (Mr J & Mrs P Tibbs)

Junior Bitch; Ent: 4 Abs: 0

Riowood C'mon It's Time for Carmandine JW (Mrs M & Mrs C & Mrs L Gerrard & Bell & Galloway) very promising b/w bitch lovely head with dark kind eye, well laid shoulder and good length of upper arm, ribs extending well back and short coupled, strong well-muscled hindquarters, looked balanced both standing and on the move.

2nd. Sharnphilly Dizzy Blonde at Linosa (Miss A Gates) another lovely bitch to go over and similar comments apply, this o/w bitch was shown in excellent condition and moved well, difficult decision but just preferred the front of my winner.

3rd. Ferndel Sapphire Mist over Stocksfell (Mrs B Wilkinson)

Yearling Bitch; Ent: 4 Abs: 0

1st. Riowood Tick Tick Boom to Sharnphilly JW (Miss Oddie) b/w I didn’t realise this was litter sister to my Junior winner, I liked her a lot, they still have a lot of maturing to do but I’m sure they will be fighting it out for top awards soon. Lovely head and kind expression, same remarks as her sister but she is more mature and animated on the move.

2nd. Hawkfield Happy Times JW (Ms W Gordon) o/w bitch of different type, lovely feminine head and expression, well laid shoulder, good bone and body, strong hindquarters, still a lot of maturing to do, unsettled on the move at first, but showed nice tail action as she settled.

3rd. Codnorhawk Dolly Daydream (Mrs Ca & Mr C White & Keith)

Limit Bitch; Ent: 16 Abs: 3

A lovely class to judge with some very nice bitches and close placings.

1st. Fowington Lar Ti Dar at Deadaway (Mrs J M Blowers) o/w lovely bitch that just got better as the class went on, lovely head and kind expression, certainly a series of graceful curves, good oval bone and a slight slope to pastern that some lacked, shown in hard condition with a good expanse of first and second thigh, moved true and had lovely lashing tail.

2nd. Raigmore Faith in The Future (Mr J & Mrs P Tibbs) b/w another lovely bitch and I though this was going to be my winner, lovely head and such a kind eye, she flows from her neck through her body, good length of rib, short coupled with strong well-muscled hindquarters, she moves true with a good tail action, she just lacked the carriage and sparkle of the winner on the final run.

3rd. Morgan Van Freebreeze (Imp Nld) ShCEx (Mrs R Mason)

Open Bitch; Ent: 8 Abs: 2

What a super class and a full line up of champions.

1st. Sh Ch Kanix Sooty at Stargang (Mr A & Mrs J Macara & Blackburn-Bennett) b/w such an honour to have so many lovely bitches to go over but this one stole my heart, lovely head and kind expression, long muscular neck, well laid shoulder and good length of upper arm, short coupled with strong muscular first and second thigh, strong bone and slight slope to her pastern she looked like she could work all day. Powered around the ring to take the CC and pushed the dog hard in the challenge.

2nd. Sh Ch Wilchrimane Frankly Darlin (Miss, Mrs & Mrs Siddle, Siddle & Medeiros) o/w what a pleasure to judge this beautiful bitch, so feminine and elegant, definatly a series of graceful curves but she has the bone and substance too, she has such a smooth ground covering action, it was a pity we had such a small ring, in tiptop condition and shown to perfection she pushed hard but just preferred the front and the overall balance of my winner.

3rd. Sh Ch Tenshilling The Wanderer (Mrs J Webb)

Veteran Bitch; Ent: 3 Abs: 0

1st. Freebreeze Curtain Call (Mrs R Mason) b/w hard to believe this bitch is almost 11 years old, she oozes breed type and was shown in fit hard condition, loved her kind dark eye, not the happiest being stacked but moved true with purpose and style.

2nd. Sh Ch Droveborough's Miss Marple (Mrs A M & Mr C Hewitt) l/w almost 10 years old she has a lovely head and wise expression, well balanced, both stacked and on the move with good bone, not surprised to see she has her title, just preferred the animation of my winner on the move.

3rd. Wild Thyme (Miss C Lake)
