POODLE (TOY)
MPD (3 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: Young’s Anorien The Wiccan. 7 months. Small and balanced. In super black coat and with much to like. Head is well-proportioned containing dark eyes full of expression. Good neck and shoulders. Elegant and free-moving, he covered the ring with drive and confidence.
2nd: Farrugia’s & Drewitt-Barlow Ba Piedmont's. 7 months, Black. Different in type to 1 and larger overall, but still within the standard. Just preferred the head of 1. Compact body. He has an admirable attitude being very much at one with his handler. Smart and stylish on the move. A close call.
PD (1 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: Nelson’s & Moss’s Nasailleen Talk To The Hand. 9½ months. Super black coat. I admired his refined, lengthy head with chiselling developing; good for dentition and chin. Dark expressive eyes. Good length of neck, short-backed and well-ribbed body and muscular loins. Decent forehand, he moved with a light, flowing action. One to watch. RCC & BPIB.
JD (3 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: Roper’s Jusbar's Sweet Talking Guy. 1 year old.Textured black coat. Pleasing head and eye, well-made throughout. I particularly liked his front assembly and reach. Initially, on the move he took time to settle but then demonstrated sound action. Given time he should have a bright future.
2nd: Wheeler’s Verismo The Great Caruso. 1 year old. Pleasing to examine with a balanced head, dark eyes, and a neat finish. Correct dentition. Ears of good length. Adequate neck and shoulders with a secure topline. A confident mover, but preferred the forehand reach of 1.
3rd: Land & Land’s Stepanelle One For The Road.
PGD (1 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: Roper’s Jusbar Lets Get It On. Black. 2 years. Attractive head with expressive eyes and well-set ears. Good reach of neck. Pleasing spring of rib and a decent chest. Level topline. Ideally, tail set could be a touch higher. Front movement acceptable. Shown in excellent condition.
LD (3 Entries) Abs: 2
1st: Moss & Moss’s Afterglow Kaptain Krunch At Carianjo JW. 21 months. An eye catching well-made, sizeable dog. Attractive head contains beautiful eyes. Impressive when stacked, showing good overall balance and construction. Well ribbed body. On the move, he is confident and stylish but in the challenge could have been a tad cleaner in front. Super textured black coat, expertly presented.
OD (4 Entries) Abs: 2
1st: Nelson & Bryant’s Ch Nasailleen Herr Flick. 2 years old. Moves with style and clearly of a lovely temperament. He has a clean, well-balanced head with a good chin. Dark, expressive eyes that enhance typical expression. His neck is of sufficient length and good forechest. His well-constructed forequarters produced impressive forehand reach which gave him the advantage over 2. Topline is secure. He has strong hindquarters and carries his tail well. Overall, a stylish dog, possessing quality, elegance, and presence. CC
2nd: Land & Land’s Ch Sotto Voce Yes I Am At Stepanelle (Sp Imp). 2 years. Another striking black-coated dog presented beautifully. He is well-constructed and full of quality. Masculine head but just preferred the expression of 1. Strong, clean neck flowing smoothly into a level back, with a well-set tail. Powerful rear quarters give strong drive. Clearly, of champion quality and a worthy titleholder.
VB (2 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: Petyaeva’s Dikatanya Devoted Dana. 9 years old. Apricot coat is presented in fabulous condition for her age. She portrays a square outline with a pretty, feminine head; her eyes are a tad round in shape. Good dentition. She has a nicely angulated rear which is well-muscled and a balanced body. Her top-line is firm, and coat is in good condition. She moves soundly for her age, showing harmony with her handler. BVIB.
MPB (3 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: Young’s Anorien Agatha All Along. 6 months. Clearly a promising youngster, exhibiting a beautifully refined head, expressive dark eyes giving a distinctly feminine expression. She is developing nicely, has a balanced, well-proportioned body and well sprung ribs. Front and rear angles are harmonious, contributing to her excellent structure. She moves confidently. I thought her quite promising.
2nd: Rogers & Rogers’s Faithfulgems Ruby Mae. 9 months. Clearly still in the midst of development and not yet as mature as 1. She has a pretty head with attractive eyes and is steadily maturing in body. Moves OK and with a little more time, her movement will gain confidence.
JB (3 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: Hale’s Afterglow Goodness Me. 15 months. A well-grown, balanced young lady with a feminine, refined head giving a lovely expression. Super reach of neck and excellent shoulder placement. Well-ribbed with ample forechest and a secure topline; tail well set. Front assembly is admirable, and her hindquarters have correct stifles. Her impressive movement gave her the edge over 1.
2nd: Wheeler’s Verismo Dame Kiri Not Callas. 1 year. Another very attractive youngster of quality. She is feminine, with well-shaped, expressive eyes which enhance. I liked her size, proportions and elegance. Beautifully balanced throughout, combining femininity, structure and harmony. Moved OK. A close call.
3rd: Petyaeva’s Dikatanya Zingy Zara.
PGB (2 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: Gilbert’s Clopton Diamond Jubilee At Portloe. 3 years. She is of a nice size, well balanced, with a clean, well-finished head with dark, attractive eyes. Neck is of sufficient length. OK for shoulder placement. Body is well-ribbed. Hindquarters with low-set hocks. Moved OK but a tad untidy coming towards me.
LB (1 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: Patterson’s Philora Silver Luisa. 3 years. Feminine Silver. Good for size. She has a pleasing head and eyes. Nicely made body possesses enough bone with a well-rounded ribcage, good tail set. Nicely angulated rear. Confident mover but just needs to strengthen in front. Presented in lovely coat and condition.
OB (5 Entries) Abs: 2
1st: Isherwood, Alexander & McGinn’s Can Ch Afterglow Lil Black Dress Re (Imp). 2 years, small and ultra feminine. Her head is exquisitely balanced, containing small, dark, expressive eyes which cannot fail to attract. Compact in body with an elegant neck, correctly placed shoulders. Hindquarters possess a nice bend of stifle. Correctly set and carried tail. On the move she was a confident powerhouse, portraying a most impressive outline. Presented in superb coat and condition. BCC, BOB and Group Shortlist.
2nd: Nelson & Bryant’s Ch Nasailleen Bets Are Off. 2 years. Another beauty, different in type to 1 and a tad larger, but ticks the same boxes. Super to examine with a decent shoulder and upper arm placement. Well bodied with good spring of ribs. Strong hindquarters; correct for angulations. Good for tail set and carriage. In great coat, beautifully presented, she is balanced on the stand. Confident on the move. Close call. RCC.
3rd: Bradley’s Montelle Talk Of Magic With Tuttlebees.
