I thought there were some good quality Skyes here today. Temperaments were excellent. Thanks go to my Stewards, Brian Chessell and Susan Kannangara (and of course the lovely Marco). Class 1755. Puppy Dog Entries: 0 Absentees: 0 Class 1756. Junior Dog Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1st Place 3441 - Verumamicus Drusus (Mrs S Taylor). Strong, masculine head, slightly arched neck and excellent topline. Hard, straight coat and ear fringing developing well. Moved soundly both out and back with an easy gait but just appeared to be a little bored! Class 1757. Post Graduate Dog Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1st Place 3442 - Riskerytree Ruaridh at Billkenstar (Ms S & Mr J Taylor). Presents a good outline. Good sized skull, well placed ears and strong jaw. Decent forehand. Good forechest and pleasing length of rib. Moved well with some drive from the rear. Class 1758. Limit Dog Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1st Place 3433 - Esgia Glen Garioch (Mr & Mrs G Mcleod). A handsome, masculine dog, good skull, well fringed ears and strong jaw. Good lernght of neck and his forehand is correct and well muscled. Well bodied with a good topline and a strong, short loin. Moved soundly but he too could be more enthusiastic. Class 1759. Open Dog Entries: 3 Absentees: 0 1st Place 3421 - Ch Lavauxs Bahamian Chris (Mrs R Heath). Reserve CC. Lovely outline both standing and on the move where he has some drive. Grand head and expression. Nicely arched neck, good bone and feet. Strong, well ribbed body and excellent tailset and carriage. 2nd Place 3439 - Flanagan The Troublemaker at Feorlig (Imp Svk) (Mrs K F & Mr E L Ryan). A very nicely made drop eared dog of some quality. Good sized skull, pleasing eyes and strong jaw. Well ribbed and keeps his topline at all times. Moved soundly but could show with a little more verve. 3rd Place 3430 - Rhoderns Hamish (Mr Rod & Mr J Mclean & Weir) Class 1760. Veteran Dog Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1st Place 3425 - Ch Frisco Kiaora at Jeraro (Imp Cze) VW (Mrs J E Kendrick). A really handsome, masculine dog who shows and moves to best advantage. Very good head proportions with a strong, powerful muzzle. Muscular neck and good shoulders. Well boned with fairly large feet which do point directly forward. Good ribbing which extends well back and strong, well angulated hindquarters. Pleased to give him the CC and make him BOB. Class 1761. Special Beginners Dog Entries: 2 Absentees: 0 1st Place 3442 - Riskerytree Ruaridh at Billkenstar (Ms S & Mr J Taylor) 2nd Place 3441 - Verumamicus Drusus (Mrs S Taylor) Class 1762. Good Citizen Dog Scheme Dog Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1st Place 3441 - Verumamicus Drusus (Mrs S Taylor) Class 1763. Puppy Bitch Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1st Place 3438 - Feorlig No Good Deed (Mrs K F Ryan). Best Puppy. Just 6 months old and I would guess she will have a good future. Delightful head and expression, very good forehand with decent bone and good feet. Good length of rib and firm, topline. Moved soundly. Class 1764. Junior Bitch Entries: 3 Absentees: 0 1st Place 3435 - Struanmore Aos Si (Ms G O'Rourke). This bitch really filled my eye on the table with her good skull, dark points, strong jaw and good neck and perfect topline. Good to handle as she is well made all through and her coat was in pristine condition. On the move she has good deportment and some propulsion from the rear. 2nd Place 3440 - Voici Maggie De La Foret De Carency at Marrcrieff (Imp Fra) (Mrs K Smith). A nice quality youngster, good length of skull, well placed ears and dark, alert eyes. Decent forehand. Good length of rib, just a fraction softer in in topline than the winner. Sound and free moving. 3rd Place 3429 - Rhoderns Boreray (Mr Rod & Mr J Mclean & Weir) Class 1765. Post Graduate Bitch Entries: 3 Absentees: 1 1st Place 3420 - Headscrook Heads or Tails (Ms M Hamilton). Beautifully balanced with a grand head and very good ears. Nicely crested neck and excellent topline. Strong, well angulated hindquarters. Moved out freely with some drive. 2nd Place 3426 - Vindovala Loch Lomond at Coirelagan (Mrs M & Ms R Kidd). Feminine with a pleasing eye and good strong jaw. Good forehand, well ribbed body. Hard, straight coat and moved soundly. Class 1766. Limit Bitch Entries: 2 Absentees: 1 1st Place 3424 - Coriend Let's Do Justice (Miss E Holt). Stood alone here but topped the bitch entry to take the CC which I later learned was her second. Grand skull and eye with well set ears with good fringing and black points. Strong bone and she has a very good forehand. Well bodied with a good topline and well set tail. Moved well with an easy, fluid driving action. Good luck for a third CC soon. Class 1767. Open Bitch Entries: 3 Absentees: 0 1st Place 3434 - Esgia Glen Scotia of Borcho (Ms G O'Rourke). Reserve CC. Another high quality, very typical bitch. Powerful head with strong jaws. Presets a lovely outline both standing and on the move with her good neck and perfect topline. Well ribbed and these extend well back. Moved soundly. 2nd Place 3431 - Rhoderns Ananke (Mr Rod & Mr James Mclean & Weir). Feminine head and expression, well pigmented, strong jaw. Well laid shoulders and good bone. Excellent topline and tailset. Sound and free moving. 3rd Place 3432 - Esgia Cry Freedom (Mr & Mrs G Mcleod) Class 1768. Veteran Bitch Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1st Place 3422 - Perrylands Hello Again (Mrs R Heath). A classy, elegant bitch of obvious good type. Lovely head an expression. Strong jaw. Good length of neck and decent forehand. Well bodied. Straight, hard coat. Moved well with an easy, active gait. Class 1769.
