A found this a particularly challenging appointment with great diversity of type.

1. Finch’s Ristine Starry Night AW(G). 6 yr old black. Correct length of neck, firm topline, ribbed well back, short loin and full tail but with quite a lot of daylight under him. He stands well naturally on super feet but is a tad shorter in upper arm. Quality head and expression with flat skull, oval-shaped eyes of good colour with fill below, ears good for size and set and correct dentition. When gaiting he moves true on the down and back and although brisk in action, he could extend a little more in front. Well handled.

1. McLachlan & Morrison’s Fullmoon Rise From The Runes (Imp Usa) Taf. 10 mth old black who was a standout in today’s entry for me. I thought him an excellent type, presenting a cobby outline and he was so good hands on. Strong, slightly arched neck of correct length to balance, short firm back, ribbing developing as it should, short in the couplings and well rounded rump. Quality headpiece, all male, with fair breadth to his flat skull, the very best of eyes and ears, moderate length to muzzle and scissor bite. Correct angles front and rear and he stands nice and straight in front on very good feet. Brisk, purposeful action with such good carriage. Excellent coat and so very well handled. CC, BOB & Puppy. Pleased to hear he later went Group 3 but disappointing that they didn’t wait for him in the Puppy Group.

1. Hood’s Django Alpha Nero with Arathorn. This was a rather varied class. My winner was this 22 mth old black. Pleasing type and cobby in outline with rather short neck, short back, pleasing rib development, croup could be firmer and full tail. Pleasing head and expression with good skull, good eye for shape and colour, ears set on well, moderate length of muzzle and scissor bite. Pleasing angles front and rear and he stands straight in front on excellent feet. On the down and back he is nice and true and went well on the go around with desired brisk action. Good coat.
2. Rollinson’s Chadbower Tadhg. This 20 mth old black also was pleasing to go over but somewhat lean on the day. He has a touch more length of leg but I liked his neck, he’s firm in topline and his tail is set and carried well. Another who pleased for head and expression; correct skull, minimal stop, super eyes and ears, well filled below the eyes and correct dentition. Pleasing angulation both ends and he stands well naturally on small, cat-like feet. Gaiting briskly with good carriage. Good texture to coat.
3. Jones’ Undertaker Jet Du Red Dragon De Jupiter

1. McLachlan & Morrison’s Ch Fullmoon How Do You Like Me Now. A large but very varied class with many different outlines and sizes. My winner was this 3 yr old black who was presented in such good condition and he was pleasing to go over. Strong neck, firm topline, lovely ribbing, powerful loin and full tail. Masculine headpiece with flat skull, dark expressive eyes of correct shape, ears set on just right, well filled under the eyes, moderate length to muzzle and scissor bite. Soundly constructed all through and standing true on excellent feet. Moves out with brisk stride and uses himself as he goes. RCC.
2. Donaldson’s Ir Ch Zorbaloo Don Julio. 2 yr old black who couldn’t be more different to the winner and I feel he is still some way from maturity. He presented a lovely balanced outline with correct length of neck, firm straight back, good length to ribcage and short in the couplings. Nicely proportioned head with ears set on as they should be, eyes of good colour but not quite shape of those of winner, minimal stop and scissor bite. Pleasing angles front and rear and he stands nice and straight in front on correct feet. Moving freely when coming and going and has the correct brisk action of the breed. Good quality coat. Well handled.
3. Rollinson & Manners’ Ir Ch Summerhaze Shafran Among Chadbower (Imp Rus)

1. Collier’s Ch Stoneyburn Banna. 9 yr old black who appealed for overall type and presented a nice cobby outline with strong neck of correct length to balance, short firm topline, pleasing rib, deep brisket, nice short loin and tail set on just right. For me, he had the best head and expression in the class; fairly broad, flat skull, very good ears, dark eyes of correct shape with fill below and excellent dentition. He is well made front and rear and stands with straight forelegs and has very good feet. Moving out briskly with good carriage and well handled. Good quality coat.
2. Massey’s Ristine Tweedledee VW. This 9 yr old black is a tad longer cast but he was pleasing to go over. Correct length of neck, firm topline and pleasing rib. Masculine headpiece with good skull, minimal stop, expressive eyes, ears set on well and good dentition. He stands well naturally in front and has nice cat-like feet. Moving freely on the down and back and goes pretty well on the go around. Good coat but not quite the texture of that of winner.
3. Brooks’ Fandal's Viljam at Ridgebrook (nbt) (Imp Fin)

1. Jones’ Roopec Made For Me. 12 mth old black with so much to like and she presented such a good outline, being cobby as desired. Strong neck of correct length to give balance, short firm back, ribbing carried well back, nice and short in the couplings and tail set and carried well. Most attractive head, full of femininity, fairly broad skull which is flat, excellent eye and ear, moderate length to muzzle and scissor bite. Soundly constructed all through and she stands foot perfect on the best of feet. When gaiting she didn’t let herself down, moving true when coming and going and on go around she gaits briskly with good carriage. Good quality coat. CC and Best Special Beginners.

1. Merrion’s Aura Z Letne at Jatesa (Imp Cze). 9 mth old black who shows promise. She is feminine all through and presented a cobby outline. Correct length of neck, firm topline, rib developing well, short loin and tail set on well. Attractive head with good skull, very nice eye and ear, minimal stop, moderate length of muzzle and correct dentition. She has pleasing angles front and rear and stands straight in front on good feet. Moving briskly with good self carriage.
2. Thorne’s Adria Z Letne for Schipdale (Imp Cze). This black turned out to be the litter sister to the winner. She also presents a pleasing outline with strong, rather short neck, straight back but she is a fraction longer than 1, rib developing as it should for age, firm loin and good tail. Feminine headpiece with good skull, ears set on as they should, muzzle of moderate length and scissor bite but overall preferred expression of winner. Moves well on the go around and when coming towards, just a little wider when going away.

2. Donaldson’s Zorbaloo Chaviva Natania. 14 mth old black who has lots to like. She pleased for type and is cobby in outline with correct length of neck, short straight back, good rib development for age and short in the couplings. Feminine headpiece with fairly broad skull, ears set on just right, eyes a tad rounder than preferred, moderate length to muzzle and scissor bite. Front assembly not that of winner and she needs to fill in front, however she stands on excellent feet and is well made behind. Good quality coat.
3. Manners & Scales’ Roopec Just One More

1. Manners & Scales’ Roopec Keep Up With Me. 15 mth old black who was a comfortable winner in this class for me but some way from maturity. She appealed for overall type and is nice and cobby in outline with correct length of neck, short firm topline, ribbing extends well back, short loin and tail pleased for set and carriage. Attractive headed youngster with feminine expression, good skull, very nice eyes, correct ears when using them and good dentition. Of sound construction, standing well naturally and she has super feet. Moves out freely with briskness. Good coat.
2. Hall’s Ghilgrange Hanky Panky. 2 yr old black who wasn’t at all settled on the table. She is so very different to the winner and a tad longer cast. Pleasing neck, firm topline and ribbing carried well back. Feminine headpiece with good skull, dark eyes and ears set on well but overall much preferred expression of 1. She is nicely built and stands straight in front on very good feet. Moves pretty well all through.

1. Rollinson’s Chadbower Emilia. Two very different bitches competed in this class and my winner was found in this 6 yr old black. She is cobby in outline with correct rather short neck of the breed, firm back which is nice and short and pleasing ribbing and loin. Attractive head with femininity; good skull, eyes of good colour but a little rounder, minimal stop, good muzzle and dentition. Pleasing angulation front and rear and she has very good feet and although she stands straight she is a tad wider. Moves out briskly on the go around. Good coat texture.
2. Philpott’s Ch Komargo Going For Gold. 6 yr old gold who presented a nice cobby outline but she was a tad heavy on the day. Feminine all through she has a correct length of neck, short firm back, good spring of rib, short in the couplings and full tail set on well. Most appealing head and expression; fairly broad flat skull, good eye and ear, moderate length to muzzle and scissor bite. She stands true in front and has cat-like feet and is lighter in the rear as desired. Gaiting freely when coming and going but not quite the brisk action of winner.

1. McLachlan, Morrison & Plourde’s Am/Multi Ch Fullmoon Makin Mischief (imp Usa). This was another class where two very different girls challenged. The winner was this 9 yr old who was shown in super condition. Slightly arched neck of correct length to balance, firm through the topline, excellent ribbing, short loin and well rounded rump. Cracking head and expression with correct skull, minimal stop, super eye and ear and scissor bite. Soundly built front and rear and she stands so well naturally at all times. Gaiting freely with good carriage. RCC and Best Veteran
2. Manners’ Ch Chadbower Nevaeh Lahetti VW. 8 yr old black who I gave a crowning CC to a few years back. Cobby in outline with correct rather short neck, short back with firm topline, ribbing extends well back, deep in brisket, short loin and tail set and carried just right. Feminine headpiece with flat skull, expressive eyes of good colour, ears set on well, muzzle of moderate length and correct dentition. Soundly constructed girl all through and she stands nice and straight in front and is lighter in hindquarters as she should be. Moving well all through but winner had the edge. Good coat.
