1. Grant-Parkes’ Parabar Posy's Pawnee JW. Varied class which saw this 21 mth black/tan win quite comfortably. Balanced, with good bone and sturdily built. Neck of moderate length, level topline, ribbing carried well back and excellent tail for set and carriage. Masculine head of correct proportions, width of skull between the ears, expressive almond-shaped eyes, moderate stop and scissor bite. Shoulders well laid, elbows close to ribcage, pleasing forechest and firm, muscular hindquarters with well let down hocks. Moving freely with good carriage. Lovely rich tan.
2. Bancroft’s Leyeside Mister Freddie. 4 yr old black/tan who pleased for overall type but could use a tad more length of leg. He has a super neck, firm level topline, correct ribbing, is short in the couplings and tail pleased for set and carriage. Balanced headpiece with masculine expression; well proportioned, moderate stop, lovely eye and ear and correct dentition. Good angulation front and rear and pleasing forechest but not quite as good in front standing as winner. Moves well on the go around. Presented with excellent muscle-tone and what a super temperament he has.
3. Hughes’ Poolheywood Barney JW

1. Thwaite’s Ch Ribblespride Crakemoor. What a super class this was with so many good examples of the breed present. This 4 yr old black/tan came out on top and what a fabulous dog he is and so good hands on. All male, he presented such a good outline with neck of correct length to balance, firm through the topline, first class ribbing, short muscular loin and tail good for set and carriage. Quality head with masculine expression; flat skull with width between the ears, excellent eyes, moderate stop, good planes and muzzle proportionate in length to that of skull. Soundly constructed both ends and he stands so well in front on correct feet and with a good forechest. Moves freely all through and has excellent carriage. CC & BOB.
2. Swann’s Ch Taigwynion Johnny's Boy at Swanndale. 4 yr old black/tan who also appealed. I thought him good for type, he carries good bone and is masculine all through. He too has such a good outline with moderate length of neck, firm level back, correct ribbing, short in the couplings and tail set on high and of good carriage. Most attractive head and expression; good skull to muzzle proportions, dark almond-shaped eyes, erect ears and scissor bite. Pleasing angles front and rear, good forechest and well muscled all through but just a tad more turn of pastern than 1. Purposeful action and very well handled. Lovely rich tan. RCC.
3. Felstead’s Ch Lankeela You Go Boss at Foveaux JW

1. Fairest’s Ch Henson Fairest Lad. Showy 9 yr old black/tan who greatly appealed and was presented here in firm, hard condition, is all male and was so good to go over. Neck of correct length to give balance, firm in topline, excellent ribbing, nice short loin and tail set on high and of good carriage. Super head and expression with good proportions and planes, excellent ears, almond-shaped eyes and scissor bite. Pleasing angulation front and rear and well developed in forechest but with a little more turn to pastern than preferred, however this did not affect his gait where he moved freely on the down and back and goes so well on the go around too, using himself at all times. Very good tan. Best Veteran.
2. Lawrence’s Brinscall Moors Bertie. 7 yr old black/tan who was out of coat on the day. Balanced boy with moderate length of neck, firm level topline, ribbing extends well back, short coupled and high set tail. Head of pleasing proportions, moderate stop, ears showing lift, eyes of good colour but not quite shape of those of 1, good dentition. He has pleasing angles both ends but with less bone than the winner and pasterns could be firmer. Moving well when viewed in profile and well handled here. Super temperament.

1. Bellinger’s Foveaux Jean Genie at Heelstone. Some very nice pups challenged in this class with this 9 mth black/tan coming out on top. She makes the most of herself at all times and pleased in outline with correct length of neck, firm through the topline, ribbed well back and developing well for age, short in the couplings and tail set on high. Attractive head with good skull to muzzle proportions, super expressive eyes, erect ears, moderate stop and scissor bite. She has an excellent layback of shoulder, stands on good feet and a firm, muscular rear with well turned stifles. Gaiting freely fore and aft and really moves out on the go around. Best Puppy.
2. Lord’s Foxthyme Miss Adventure. 6 mth old liver/tan who is only a baby but she very much appealed and was close up to the winner here. She was a delight to go over and so good in outline with moderate length of neck which flows smoothly into well laid shoulders, level topline, pleasing rib development, nice short loin and tail set on high. Super head and expression, totally feminine, with almond-shaped eye of correct colour to blend with coat, good ears, moderate stop and scissor bite. She stands well naturally on good feet and moved freely and with confidence. Shall look out for in the future to see how she develops.
3. Grant-Parkes’ Parabar Pelatory's Pichu

1. Thwaite’s Ribblespride Masquerade. 16 mth black/tan who is full of life and was certainly enjoying her day out! Feminine all through, I thought her an excellent type and she presented a nicely balanced outline. Moderate length of neck, pleasing topline, ribbing carried well back, short coupled and tail set on high and of good carriage. Attractive, well proportioned head, nice dark eyes, erect ears, moderate stop and good dentition. Pleasing angulation front and rear and she has a good forechest. Moving out well on the go around, true when going away but a tad wider when coming towards. Lovely rich tan.

1. Grant-Parkes’ Parabar Monkey Puzzle. 4 yr old black/tan who won this class with some room to spare for me. She pleased in outline with correct length of neck to balance, firm level topline, good length to ribcage, short in the couplings and tail set on high. Feminine headpiece with good skull to muzzle proportions, moderate stop, erect ears, almond-shaped eyes which are dark enough and good dentition. Shoulders well laid, she stands on good feet, pleased in forechest and is firm in rear with hocks well let down. She goes so well on the go around with such good carriage but was a little wider when coming at you. Excellent tan.
2. Bowker’s Rosie Bouquet. 21 mth old liver/tan. Nicely balanced girl with excellent neck, firm through the topline, correct ribbing which is carried well back, short loin and high set tail of good carriage. Well proportioned head with feminine expression, almond-shaped eyes and erect ears but could be set a tad higher. Pleasing angulation both ends and good in forechest. When gaiting she is true on the down and back and although also goes well on the go around, the winner just went that bit better. Well handled.
3. Wiseman’s Foxthyme Tilly

1. Felstead’s Ch Foveaux Queens Gambit JW. Two very different girls competed against each other here. This 2 yr old black/tan was my winner and she very much appealed and was a delight hands on. Quality head with feminine expression; flat skull with breadth between the ears, moderate stop, the best of eyes, muzzle of correct length to balance, good planes and scissor bite. She pleased for bone, has good angles front and rear and she stands on excellent feet. Showy girl who made the most of herself at all times and certainly didn’t disappoint when gaiting; free on the down and back and smart and brisk on the go around as the standard desires. Presented with excellent muscle-tone and so very well handled. Lovely rich tan. CC.
2. Davies’ Taigwynion Freya Sadie in Ronleydon. 4 yr old liver/tan who was also good to go over. She has a little more length than the winner but pleased for neck, is nice and firm in topline and her tail is set on high and of good carriage. Feminine headpiece with good skull to muzzle proportions, erect ears and dark brown almond-shaped eyes but overall preferred expression of 1. She has good angles both ends and I liked her forechest but she has a little more turn of pastern in front than winner. On the move, she went well when coming and going and also went more than good enough when viewed in profile.

1. Thwaite’s Ch Ribblespride Ladytron. Black/tan coming up to 8 yrs. Quality girl who very much appealed and she was so good to go over given her correct construction. Totally balanced with correct length of neck, firm level topline, excellent ribbing, nice and short in the couplings and tail set on high and of good carriage. Most attractive head and expression with flat skull which had width between her correctly set erect ears, super eyes, correct planes, muzzle proportionate in length to that of skull and scissor bite. First class construction all through and she stands so well in front on excellent feet. Gaiting freely all through, shows herself off to full advantage and was presented in firm, hard condition. RCC.
2. Davies’ Black Rose in Ronleydon. 9 yr old black/tan. Nicely balanced girl with neck of moderate length, firm through the topline, ribbing extends well back, short loin and tail set on just right. Feminine head with dark almond-shaped eyes, good ears when using them and pleasing proportions. Good angles front and rear and she pleased for forechest but she has a little more turn to front pastern. On the move, she went pretty well all through but couldn’t quite compete with overall action of the winner. Nails could have been shorter to advantage. Nice rich tan.
