MPD (4,0)

1. Timms’ Olijah Going in Deep. What a lovely class this was, making a great start to the day! This precocious 6½ mth old dark brindle came out on top and what a super chap he is. He presented such a good outline outline and is cobby as desired with lovely bone. Muscular neck of moderate length which is nicely arched, short back with excellent roach, ribbing carried well back, short in the couplings and tail set on low as it should be. Most appealing head and expression with medium-sized ‘bat ears’ set on high, dark round eyes of correct placement in the skull, well open nostrils, good layback, breadth to muzzle and excellent underjaw. He stands well in front with good forechest and made the most of himself at times such is his confident character. A close-fought battle between one and two here but this lad just clinched the class on the go around. CC and Best Puppy and pleased to see he later took Puppy Group 3.

2. Smith’s Scandal Blockbusterfrenchies at Bellicose (Imp). Brindle coming up to 9 mths and another full of quality and a delight to go over although he is quite different to the winner in overall type. Muscular, well arched neck, nice short back with correct roach, well developed ribbing which extends well back, short in the couplings and tail set on low with good rump. Masculine headpiece with breadth to skull, the very best of ears, dark round expressive eyes, good width to muzzle, very good nostrils, well developed cheeks for one so young and good breadth to underjaw with excellent upturn. Soundly constructed front and rear and he stands well in front on compact feet. Moving well all through.

3. Walton’s Ravendane Paddington Bear

PD (6,1)

1. Hutchinson’s Oschalben Olympus. Rather mixed class which saw this 9 mth old dark brindle win comfortably and he was pleasing to go over. I would like a tad more length of neck but having said that I didn’t see him as particularly unbalanced, he has a correct roach to topline, excellent ribbing, short muscular loin and tail set on low. Good skull, round eyes of correct colour, ears set on well, pleasing cheek development and breadth to underjaw. He is well boned and stands straight in front on compact feet. Pleasing action.

2. Timms Olijah Dare to Dream. Pied coming up to 7 mths. Great character who was enjoying his time in the ring and made the most of himself at all times. Soundly constructed all through but rather ‘scopey’ and with too much length. Muscular neck which is well arched, good roach to topline, pleasing rib development and tail set on low. He has the best of ears, expressive eyes, pleasing cheeks and good underjaw but would like better layback. Stands well naturally on compact feet and moved freely with good carriage.

3. Hogan’s Baclaudi Finn Iston

JD (4,1)

1. Williams’ Jafrak Sugar Ray for Gwynsel. 14 mth old fawn who was a standout in this class for me. I thought him an excellent type, he carries lovely bone and was good hands on. Muscular neck of correct length to balance, cobby in body with correct roach, well sprung ribs and good length to ribcage, strong loin and tail set on low. Masculine headpiece with appealing expression; broad skull which is flat between his superbly set ears, round eyes of good colour, well open nostrils, breadth to muzzle and good upturn to underjaw. When gaiting, he goes so well on the go around and makes the most of himself at all times.

2. Young’s Leyendas Bedazzled. 13 mth old brindle who was also good to go over. He pleased for overall outline with nicely arched neck of correct length to give balance, roach to topline, nice short loin and correct tail set. Good skull, super ears for size and set, round eyes of good colour, wide open nostrils and good underjaw but a tad ‘nosey’ for my preference. Moving pretty well on the go around but front and rear could not match action of winner. Shows himself off well.

3. Plominska & Kil’s Narcyz Z Lipkowego Rancza at Bestfrenchie (Imp Pol)

PGD (3,1)

1. Vearncombe & Hale’s Ruption Knightcott Back to Black. Two very different brindles challenged here with this 3 yr old coming out on top. He is well boned and showed himself off at all times. Muscular neck, good roach, well sprung ribs and nice and short in the couplings. He scored in head over 2 having excellent ears for size and set, eyes of good colour, well developed cheeks, good underjaw and decent nostrils. He has good width in front and moved pretty well all through but would like a tad more angulation in the rear.

2. Suhareva & Cruttenden’s Castrum Osinium Roller Coaster at Avermayz JW (Imp Cro). 2 yr old out of a smaller mould than winner. Moderate length of neck, roach to topline, well sprung ribs with good length to ribcage and nice short loin. Good skull with domed forehead, eyes are dark enough, pleasing cheeks but not quite underjaw of 1. He stands well in front with good width of forechest but could stand better in the rear. Goes well enough on the go around and ok on the down and back.

LD (7,1)

1. Roach’s Roalice Major Mouse. I felt this was a rather varied class which saw this 2 yr old brindle win with some room to spare. He presented a pleasing outline with nicely arched neck of correct length to balance, correct roach to topline, well sprung ribs, short muscular loin and tail set on low. Masculine head with good skull, excellent ears for size and set, pleasing eye, well developed cheeks and breadth to underjaw. He is well constructed both ends and stands well naturally. Free, purposeful gait and very well handled.

2. Lancaster’s Leyenda's King of The Ring. 2 yr old fawn who slotted into second place easily for me but he could make more of himself which would help his cause. He presented a pleasing outline with moderate length of neck, good roach to topline, ribbed well back and short muscular loin. Square head with pleasing skull, well developed cheeks, ears of good size but could be tad higher set and width to underjaw but overall preferred expression of winner. He has good bone and stands well in front and moved pretty well all through. Excellent coat and condition.

3. Ross & Marrs’ Franstelgo's Low Rider

OD (3,0)

1. Hickin & Rankin’s Ch Chelmbull Space Man. 3 yr old brindle who has lots to like, carries good bone and was pleasing hands on. Moderate length of neck which is well arched, correct topline, good depth to brisket, well sprung ribs and strong, well-muscled loin. Pleasing head and expression with ears of good size, dark expressive eyes, wide open nostrils, well developed cheeks, broad muzzle, good layback and excellent underjaw. He stands straight in front with good width and has nice compact feet. Soundly built both and ends and moved freely with good carriage. Well handled. RCC.

2. Bryant’s Ch Archness The Audacity JW. 2 yr old brindle of completely different type to the winner however, still with so much to appeal. He carries good bone and is cobbier than the winner with correct length of neck, good roach to topline, excellent ribbing and nice short loin. Super headed lad with very good skull, excellent ears for size and set, round eyes of good colour, good nostrils and layback and very good upturn to lower jaw. Pleasing front assembly but not quite as good in the hindquarters and this reflected when gaiting.

3. Plominska & Kil’s D'cameron Janoel

VD (2,1)

1. Timms’ Ch Eastonite Maui JW ShCM OSW. Fawn approaching 8 yrs. Showy lad carrying good bone. Muscular neck which is nicely arched, pleasing rib and loin but would like to see a more defined roach to the topline. Masculine headpiece with good skull, ears correct for size and set, broad muzzle, wide open nostrils and pleasing upturn to lower jaw. He stands straight in front and has good feet. When gaiting, he pleased on the go around and was very well handled. Best Veteran and he ended the day by taking second in the Veteran Group.

SBD (6,2)

1. Young’s Leyendas Bedazzled. Best Special Beginners.

2. McCarroll & Meldrum’s Franstelgo's Future Bet. 23 mth old brindle who appealed for overall type and carries pleasing bone. Nicely arched neck of moderate length, deep brisket and good roach to topline. Very nice head and expression with good skull, ears correct for size and set, dark expressive eyes, well developed cheeks and pretty good underjaw. Standing nice and straight in front with good width to chest but would like to see more angulation in the rear. Has a tendency to crab whilst gaiting.

3. Candiotes’ My Man Marjoram for Jabulile

GCD (1,0)

1. Candiotes’ My Man Marjoram for Jabulile. 3 yr old who I see is registered as fawn but much redder than desired in the breed. He carries good bone and presents a cobby outline with correct length of neck to balance, pleasing roach to topline, short loin and tail set on low. Masculine headpiece with good skull, ears of good set and well developed cheeks but eyes could be a shade darker to enhance expression. Standing straight in front with sufficient breadth to chest and he has good feet. Pleasing action front and rear.

MPB (4,0)

1. Timms’ Olijah Coming For You. Brindle of 6½ mths who I thought a standout in this class. She is so good in outline being cobby with a nicely arched neck of correct length to balance, super roach, ribbing carried well back, short loin and tail set on low. Feminine headpiece with the best of expressions; breadth to skull, excellent ears for size and set, dark round eyes, well open nostrils, broad muzzle and good upturn. She stands so well at all times and has nice compact feet. Gaiting she went so well in profile and when viewed from the rear, just a tad wider when coming towards.

2. Ward’s Oschalben Odessa. 7 mth old brindle who has plenty to like, appealing for overall type and nice and cobby in outline. Moderate length of neck which is well arched, pleasing roach to topline, super ribbing for age, nice short loin and tail set on low. Feminine in head with good skull, very nice ears, well developed cheeks and good nostrils but jaw not quite what I was looking for. Stands on good feet and moved freely all through with a particularly strong rear.

3. Westmorland & Hutchinson’s Oschalben Ophilia

PB (5,1)

1. Friend’s Kingfriend Miss Milan. 11 mth old dark brindle who was a delight to go over and of excellent type. Compact and sturdy with nicely arched neck, correct roach to topline, super ribbing for age, short in the couplings and tail set on low. Feminine head with excellent skull, ears of good size and pretty well set on, cheeks well developed, expressive eyes, good nostrils, layback and underjaw. Soundly constructed all through and she stands straight in front on compact feet and moved well when viewed from all angles. Very well handled.

2. Morison’s Xandene Caramel Fudge. Showy fawn of 9 mths who carries good bone and substance. Moderate length of neck which is well arched, good roach to topline, pleasing rib for age, short muscular loin and correct tailset. Quality headpiece with feminine expression; good skull which is almost flat between her excellent ears, round eyes of good colour and placement, broad muzzle and good layback and underjaw. Standing on very good feet but front not quite that of winner standing or on the move, however she goes well on the go around and when viewed from the rear.

3. Vearncombe & Hale’s Ruption Knightcott Hells Bells

JB (6,2)

1. Cund’s Chelmbull Forget Me Not. 11 mth old brindle who was a comfortable winner in this class. Making the most of herself at all times, she carries good bone and it was a pleasure to go over her. Beautifully balanced with nicely arched neck of medium length, correct topline with characteristic roach, excellent ribbing for age, nice and short through the loin and tail set on just right. Quality headpiece with super expression; ears good for size, dark round eyes, well developed cheeks, broad muzzle with good layback, well open nostrils and excellent upturn to underjaw. She stands well both front and rear, has nice compact feet and certainly didn’t disappoint when gaiting. Very well handled. RCC.

2. Hutchinson’s Gailbulls Miss Gabrielle for Oschalben. Pied of 16 mths who presents a nice cobby outline and is well boned throughout. Moderate length of neck, short back with good roach, ribbed well back and short, well-muscled loin. Feminine head with good skull, nice dark eyes and ears of good size but she was somewhat reluctant to use them on the day, however overall winner had the edge in expression. She has a good width of forechest and stands straight on compact feet. On the move, she pleased on the go around and was nice and firm in the rear.

3. Westmorland’s Gailbulls Its Edith

PGB (9,0)

1. Conway & Chapman’s Khanin Dark N’delicious for Norcairn JW. A large but rather varied class. This 23 mth old brindle was not making much of herself but she did enough to secure this win. She is well boned and has plenty of substance and presented a pleasing outline. Nicely arched neck of correct length to balance, excellent roach to topline, nice spring of rib, short loin and tail set on low as it should be. Pleasing head and expression with good skull, dark round eyes, ears correct when using them, well developed cheeks and very good upturn. She stands well in front on super feet and when gaiting she pleased on the go around.

2. Foley’s Leyendas On A Mission. Another brindle of 23 mths and she too has plenty to like. She presented a nicely balanced outline with strong neck of moderate length, short back with correct roach, pleasing ribbing, short in the couplings and tail set on low. Feminine headpiece with good skull, ears correct for size and set, eyes of good colour and cheeks well developed but overall preferred expression of winner. On the move, she made the best of herself and moved out with nice free, easy gait.

3. Plominska & Kil’s Bestfrenchie Amnezja

LB (9,0)

1. Hickin’s Boule & Onuba Dreamgirl (Imp Esp). A pleasing class with some good bitches present. My winner was this 2 yr old brindle. Well boned, she has a touch more length than the girl placed second but I didn’t see her as unbalanced. Super neck which is nicely arched, correct roach to topline, well sprung ribs, muscular loin and tail set on low. Feminine headpiece with good skull, fine wrinkling when alert, very good eye and ear, well developed cheeks, good nostrils and breadth to underjaw with good upturn. A well constructed girl with nice free action all through and using herself as she goes.

2. Bryant’s Archness The Vivacious. 2 yr old fawn who is quite different to the winner but she also appealed and was a delight hands on. She is nice and cobby and well off for bone, muscular neck of moderate length, pleasing roach to topline, deep brisket, short in the couplings and good rump. Super headed girl with the best of expressions; ears just right for size and set, dark round eyes, good cheeks, broad muzzle and lower jaw turned up as it should be. She stands with a good width to forechest but feet not quite as good as those of 1. Moving well all through but winner just had the edge.

3. Roach’s Roalice Mega Mouse JW

OB (11, 5)

1. Timms’ Ch Budbulls Maximum Impact for Olijah JW (Imp Srb). 2 yr old brindle who greatly appealed and was a delight to go over. Feminine throughout she carries good bone and presents such a good outline with well arched neck of correct length to give balance, excellent roach to topline, well sprung ribs with ribcage carried well back, short well-muscled loin and tail set on nice and low. Attractive head and expression; breadth to skull, super ears for size and set, eyes of good colour, cheeks well developed, broad muzzle, well open nostrils and excellent upturn to lower jaw. Soundly constructed both front and rear and she stands straight in front with good width to forechest. On the move, she is as sound as they come on the down and back and gaits freely on the go around with good carriage. CC & BOB.

2. Cund’s Ch Chelmbull Eternal Flame. This 4 yr old brindle is another full of quality and she too was pleasing hands on. Nicely arched neck of moderate length, short back with excellent ribbing but could have more definition in the topline, powerful loin and tail set on low. Quality headpiece, full of femininity; excellent skull, ears of good size, the best of eyes, well developed cheeks, good layback, well open nostrils and super underjaw. She too is of sound construction and stands so well in front on nice compact feet. Free, flowing gait when viewed from any angle and so very well handled. Shown in first class order.

3. Bryant’s Ch Archness The Dramallama JW

SBB (4,1)

1. Curran’s Cabbrieli's Rivers Lucky Seven. 2 yr old fawn of a shade darker than preferred. Well boned and cobby in outline with pretty good neck, pleasing roach to topline, sufficient spring to ribbing, nice short loin and tail set on low.
