1. Mclure’s Kanukalos Burletta VW. Two quite different bitches challenged in this class, both with so much to like. This 10 yr old black/tan was my winner who I thought excelled for type and balance and is full of femininity. Super neck, firm topline, pleasing rib, brisket reaching the elbows, muscular loin and slight slope to croup. Quality headpiece with delightful expression; correct proportions and planes, dark oval-shaped eyes, clearly defined stop and scissor bite. She has good angles front and rear and stands on compact feet. Gaiting well on the go around, a tad closer when going away and scored here when coming towards. Reserve Best Bitch and Best Veteran.

2. Hemsworth’s Hightimbers Travel Tickets. 7 yr old black who was good to go over, totally feminine and has the most delightful temperament. She presented a pleasing outline with clean neck of correct length to balance, firm through the topline, deep brisket, slightly sloping croup and tail good for both set and carriage. Well proportioned head with parallel planes, super expressive eyes and correct dentition. When viewed in profile she was quite outstanding, covering the ground and with excellent carriage. Close call between these two girls with winner just having the edge in expression for me.

1. Mclure’s Pines Mansion at Kanukalos. 20 mth old black/tan. Still to fully mature, this boy very much appealed for overall type and outline. Clean neck of medium length, firm level topline, pleasing ribbing, muscular loin, correct croup and tail good for both set and carriage. Masculine head with good skull to muzzle proportions, correct stop, parallel planes, depth to muzzle and scissor bite. Shoulders well laid, elbows close to the sides and firm well-muscled hindquarters. On the move, he opens ups so well on the go around, covering the ground and using himself as he goes. Just needs to tighten in front. Best Dog.

2. Edwards’ Hightimbers Walnut. This 3 yr old black/tan also impressed for type and was good hands on. Strong neck of correct length to give balance, firm topline, good depth to chest and ribbing carried well back, well-muscled loin and slightly sloping croup. Balanced headpiece with the best of eyes, clearly defined stop, good planes and strength to muzzle. Pleasing angulation front and rear and stands on compact feet. He also went well when viewed in profile although winner had the edge. Good coat. Well handled.

3. Pearce’s Sternkriege Theodore

1. Foakes’ Hightimbers Oaks of Tutelary. 3 yr old blonde who was so very well handled here and showed himself off to advantage. He presented a super outline, having an excellent neck, firm through the topline, brisket reaching the elbows, muscular loin, slightly sloping croup and tail pleased for set and carriage. Nicely proportioned head with correct planes, oval-shaped eyes, good stop and scissor bite. Well built all through and stands nice and straight in front on very good feet. Gaiting freely all through. Reserve Best Dog.

2. Woodger’s Hightimbers Ticket To Moon. 5 yr old black/tan who is all male and carrying good bone but he could have put a little more enthusiasm into the proceedings. I thought him a super type and he pleased in outline with strong neck of medium length, firm topline, deep in brisket, well-muscled loin and correct croup. Masculine head and expression with approximately equal skull and muzzle lengths, parallel planes, super eyes, ears of correct set and scissor bite. Good angles both ends and moving well on the go around however, winner just had the edge.

1. Mclure’s Hightimbers Ticket To Dream at Kanukalos. Quality black/tan of 5 yrs who was a delight to go over and excelled for type and outline. Neck of moderate length, firm level back, excellent ribbing, brisket reaching the elbows, strength to loin, slightly sloping croup and tail good for both set and carriage. Super head with moderate breadth to skull, clearly defined stop, expressive oval-shaped eyes, muzzle proportionate in length to that of skull and correct dentition. Well laid shoulders, elbows close to the sides and standing nice and straight in front on compact feet. On the move, she excelled on the go around and was so well handled here. Best Bitch and BOB.

2. Pearce’s Pines Austen at Sternkriege. 4 yr old black/tan who also pleased, appealing for overall type, good hands on and well balanced. Strong neck of moderate length, firm topline, good depth to chest, correct ribbing and slight slope to croup. Feminine head which is well proportioned, parallel planes, dark oval-shaped eyes, depth to muzzle and scissor bite. She has good bone and stands well naturally in front on compact feet. She is a tad closer behind when gaiting but otherwise pleased on the move, however winner just came out on top on the go around.

Nicely proportioned head with masculine expression; defined stop, oval-shaped eyes of good colour and scissor bite.
