1. Godbold’s Piccorino Protagonist at Washwires. Just 6 mths and in need of a little more ringcraft however he was certainly enjoying his day out. He appealed for overall type and carries good bone. Correct length of neck, firm topline, good length to ribcage, short loin with breadth and pleasing croup. Well proportioned head with correct planes, expressive oval-shaped eyes, ears good for length and set and scissor bite. Right now standing rather untidily in front and needing to firm up in pasterns but he is well angulated in the rear. Correct elastic skin. In the class movement wasn’t easy to assess however he was much better in the challenge and went pretty well on the go around.

1. Northey’s Tito Saggio at Kingsoak Ex Libris (Imp Nld). 12 mth old who presented a balanced outline with muscular neck, correct topline, good depth to brisket, well sprung ribs and nice short in the couplings. Attractive headpiece with good skull to muzzle proportions, divergent planes, very good eyes for shape and colour, ears a tad lower set, roman nose and good dentition. Pleasing angles front and rear, standing straight in front on excellent feet and rear dewclaws which I see is mentioned in the FCI standard but not ours. Moving well when viewed in profile with excellent carriage.

1. Phillips’ Bushwacker Donnie Darko. Two 2 yr old litter brothers challenged in this class with this lad coming out on top. All male, he presented a balanced, almost square outline and was good hands on. Muscular neck of correct length, pleasing topline, good depth to chest, excellent ribbing, well-muscled loin which is nice and short, correct slope to croup and docked tail. Balanced head with divergent planes, expressive eyes, ears of correct set, lean cheeks and scissor bite. I liked his angulation both ends, he stands on good feet, is well developed in forechest and he moved freely with very good carriage.
2. Wand & Rose’s Bushwacker Dirty Harry. This boy also has so much to like and he pleased in outline with neck of correct length to give balance, characteristic topline of the breed, nice depth to brisket, ribbing extends well back and broad muscular loin. Masculine headpiece with approximately equal skull to muzzle lengths, correct planes, expressive oval-shaped eyes, ears good for length and set, roman nose and correct dentition. Not quite pasterns or feet of winner and although he moved pretty well all through, 1 went that bit better. Well handled.

1. Sladden’s Sh Ch Valcor The Confessor at Canemamans JW ShCEx OSW. A class where some quite different dogs competed. This 5 yr old came out on top and I felt he was the best overall package and with the characteristic extended fast trot of the breed which was absent from a few in today’s entry. Muscular neck, pleasing topline, brisket reaches the elbows, well sprung ribs which are carried well back, well-muscled loin and correct croup. Masculine head with good skull to muzzle proportions, divergent planes, expressive oval-shaped eyes, ears of correct set, lean through the cheeks, roman nose and scissor bite. He stands nice and straight in front on good feet, has a pretty good forechest and I particularly liked his rear angulation. Impressed on the go around and carries himself well. Best Dog & BOB.
2. Pipes & Groves’ Bushwacker Don Juan JW. 2 yr old who I see is brother to the two dogs in the previous class. A different type to the winner but a handsome well-constructed lad who was very good to go over. He presented a good outline, being almost square as desired, with a powerful, muscular neck, correct topline, good depth to brisket, excellent ribbing, short loin with breadth, correct croup and docked tail. Quality head and expression; good proportions and planes, very good eye and ear, lean cheeks, slight arch to muzzle and scissor bite. Carrying very good bone, he has correct angles front and rear, stands true in front on excellent feet and is well developed in forechest. Purposeful action. Reserve Best Dog.
3. Bell’s Whitgun Renegade Master at Owlspoint JW ShCEx OSW

1. Szulzycka’s Braccorion’s All or Nothing. 2 yr old who has much to like. He is well off for bone and presented a nicely balanced outline. Correct length of neck, typical topline, nice and deep in chest, well sprung ribbing and muscular loin. Well proportioned head with masculine expression, divergent planes, oval-shaped eyes, ears set on just right and correct dentition but a touch more lip than preferred. He has good angulation both front and rear and stands straight in front on decent feet. Opens up well on the go around and nice and firm in hindquarters. Well handled. Best Special Beginners.
2. Northey’s Tito Saggio at Kingsoak Ex Libris (Imp Nld)

1. Rose’s Piccorino Persnickety. 6 mth old who I thought shows much promise for the future, carrying lovely bone and of excellent type. Super neck, characteristic topline, good depth to brisket, ribbing carried well back, breadth to loin and correct croup. Most attractive head and expression; good skull to muzzle proportions, divergent planes, excellent eye and ear, lean through the cheeks, roman nose and scissor bite. Shoulders well laid back, straight forelegs, nice tight feet and very good forechest. Elastic skin. When gaiting, she has the typical fast extended trot and carries herself so well for one so young. Reserve Best Bitch and Best Puppy.
2. Sladden’s Canemamans Final Blow. 6 mth old who is quite different to the winner and will need more time. Not quite bone of winner but she is nicely balanced and shorter in back. Neck of correct length, firm topline, short loin and correct croup. Feminine headpiece which is well proportioned, divergent planes, pleasing eye and ear and scissor bite. She has good angles front and rear but not quite as good in pasterns and feet as winner. On the move, she pleased on the go around, is nice and firm in rear but winner had the edge coming towards.
3. Jackson’s Constancia Brezza Di Mare at Solwaypoint (Imp Pol) TAF

1. Blomfield’s Teverlarni Who's That Girl at Woodland Blue. Feminine 14 mth old who carries good bone. Pleasing neck and topline, good depth to chest, ribbing extends well back, short loin and slight slope to croup. Nicely proportioned head with correct planes, slight stop, expressive oval-shaped eyes, ears good for length and set, lean cheeks and correct dentition but could be cleaner in lip. She stands nice and straight in front on tight feet but needs to fill out in forechest for which she has plenty of time and she is well angulated in the rear. On the move she pleased on the down and back but could extend more in front on the go around.

1. Critchley’s Bracciano Now or Never JW. A rather varied class which saw this 21 mth old win with room to spare. I thought her a good type and she presented a very nice outline. Excellent neck, characteristic topline of the breed, brisket reaches the elbows, well sprung ribbing, muscular loin which is short and with width and correct croup. Balanced headpiece which is full of femininity, divergent planes, very good eye and ear, slight stop, lean cheeks, marked lips without being excessive and scissor bite. She has good angulation both ends and stands well in front on good feet and she also pleased for forechest. A little closer going away but correct fast extended trot on the go around. Best Bitch.
2. Wand’s Braccorion’s As If by Magic into Wanderhund. 2 yr old of pleasing type who is almost square in outline as desired for the breed and was well handled here. Moderately short neck, typical topline, pleasing rib, short in the couplings, slight slope to croup and docked tail. Feminine head with good skull to muzzle proportions, correct planes, oval-shaped eyes of good colour, ears of correct set, roman nose and scissor bite. I liked her angulation front and rear and she stands true in front on nice tight feet, however she is not so good in forechest as winner. On the move, she has the breed typical profile gait but coming towards 1 had the edge.
3. Titchmarsh’s Valcor Don't Stop Me Now
OB (5,3)
1. Jackson’s Iolanda Di Cascina Croce at Solwaypoint (Imp Ita). Two very different bitches competed here. This 4 yr old was my winner, scoring for overall type and profile action. Almost square in outline with correct moderately short neck, firm topline, deep through the brisket, short muscular loin, correct croup and docked tail. Pleasing head and expression with good skull to muzzle ratio, divergent planes, oval-shaped eyes of good colour, ears set on just right and scissor bite. Good angles front and rear and pleasing forechest but would like to see better feet. On the go around she is has the typical gait of the breed however could be cleaner coming towards.
2. Bond’s Teverlarni Cama Da Rosas. This 3 yr old also presented a balanced outline with muscular neck, firm topline, good depth to chest, well sprung ribbing and short well-muscled loin. Feminine head which is nicely proportioned and with correct planes, expressive eyes and good dentition but she has a touch more lip. She stands on much better feet than the winner and has pleasing angulation. On the move she is nice and free coming and going but wasn’t quite as characteristic when viewed on the go around. Well handled.
