1. Roskell’s Ch Ken Go Shun'you Kensha. 7 yr old red. Soundly constructed lad presented in excellent coat and condition. Balanced outline with slightly arched neck of moderate length, level topline, moderate ribbing, good depth to chest, firm loin and curled tail set on high. Masculine headpiece with flat skull of breadth, expressive eyes of good colour, small ears, nice dark pigmentation and scissor bite. Moderate angles front and rear and he stands true in front on excellent feet. Gaiting freely fore and aft and does all that is asked of him. Best Veteran.

PGD (2,0)

1. Roskell’s Musashi Miyamoto Go Shun'you Kensha (Imp Esp). Two completely different reds challenged in this class with this 19 mth old coming out on top, pleasing for overall type. Medium length of neck with slight arch, excellent topline, good length to ribcage, muscular loin and curled tail set on high. Balanced headpiece with broad flat skull, obliquely placed eyes which are correct for shape and colour, small ears but more upright, well developed cheeks and correct dentition. He stands straight in front on super feet and is moderately angulated. Accurate on the down and back but could open up more on the go around. Intense red coat with excellent texture.

2. Shutt’s Tapena No Akira Fireball. 18 mth old out of a much larger mould than the winner and with more leg length. He has a slightly arched neck of correct length to balance, is firm through the topline, deep in brisket and tail is set on nice and high. Masculine head and expression with breadth to his flat skull, eyes good for shape and colour, ears set on well, excellent cheeks and correct dentition. Moderately angulated both front and rear and he stands well naturally in front on very good feet. Moving out pretty well on the go around. Good quality coat.

1. Bannister’s Zhguchiy Perchik Iz Pride Men (imp Rus). 6 yr old sesame who has lots to like. Balanced in outline with slightly arched neck of medium length, firm in topline, good length to ribcage, brisket reaching the elbows and curled tail set on high. Attractive head with breadth to his flat skull, expressive almond-shaped eyes, good ears for size and set, very good pigmentation and scissor bite. Moderate layback of shoulder, straight forelegs, good forechest and standing on nice tight feet. Moving freely on the down and back and went well enough on the go around. Offstanding coat.

1. Dunhill-Hall’s Ch Vormund Be Startin Somethin. Red just coming up to 2 yrs who was very good hands on and was so well handled here. Slightly arched neck of correct length to give balance, firm through the topline, excellent ribbing, muscular loin and curled tail set on high. Quality headpiece with intense expression; broad flat skull, obliquely placed almond-shaped eyes of good colour, the very best of ears, well developed cheeks, excellent pigmentation and scissor bite. Soundly constructed all through and he stands true on tight cat-like feet. Gaiting freely when coming and going and so good on the go around. Intense clear red coat with correct urajiro and of excellent texture. CC.

2. Jackson & Wright’s Lacsar Tic Tac Tayto (ikc). This 3 yr old red is another who pleased but he is really quite different to the winner. He too was well handled and good to go over given his correct construction. Balanced in outline with moderate length of neck, level back, correct ribbing, brisket reaches the elbows which are held close to the chest, well-muscled loin and curled tail set on well. Pleasing head with broad flat skull, almond-shaped eyes of good colour, correct ears, good cheek development, dark pigmentation and scissor bite, however overall expression not quite that of winner. Pleasing angulation both ends and he stands nice and straight in front on very good feet. Moving freely all through but 1 just had the edge on the go around. RCC.

3. Law’s Tapena Go Giyu Shin

MPB (3,2)

1. Stanley & Dunhill-Hall’s Vormund Dorian Gray. 7 mth old red who had left her wardrobe at home! She presented a balanced outline with a super neck, firm level back, ribbing carried well back and developing as it should, good depth of chest for age, muscular loin and tail set on high. Feminine head with breadth to her flat skull, expressive eyes which are obliquely placed, small ears, well pigmented and correct dentition. Moderate angulation front and rear and she stands true in front but feet could be tighter. She moved accurately on the down and back and has a moderate length of stride on the go around.

PB (1,0)

1. Dunhill’s Vormund Coachella. Quality red of 10 mths who was a standout in today’s entry for me. Soundly constructed, excelling for type and a delight hands on. Superb outline with correct length of neck to balance, firm level back, correct ribbing, brisket reaches the elbows, muscular loin and curled tail set on nice and high. She has the very best of heads with a mesmerising expression; broad flat skull, dark almond-shaped eyes which are obliquely set, first class ears, defined stop, excellent cheeks and scissor bite. Correct angulation both ends and stands foot perfect at all times and she has nice tight cat-like feet. Gaiting freely on the down and back and so good when viewed in profile and shown to advantage. Offstanding coat. CC, BOB and Best Puppy.

PGB (2,1)

1. Sloane’s Rahima Wildest Dreams. 21 mth old red standing alone her but worthy of competition. She is very well balanced with an excellent neck, firm in topline, good depth to chest, ribbing carried well back, muscular loin and tail set on high. Attractive head with flat skull, correct stop, expressive eyes of good colour, nice small ears, pleasing cheek development, dark pigmentation and scissor bite. She stands straight in front on very good feet and when gaiting, she was true coming towards, a tad wider when going away but opened up well on the go around.

LB (2,0)

1. Dunhill-Hall’s Vormund Rukia Kuchiki. Two very different bitches competed in this class with the nod going to this 2 yr old black/tan, scoring for overall type and outline. Slightly arched neck of correct length to give balance, firm topline, deep brisket, correct ribbing, muscular loin and curled tail set on well. Quality headpiece with breadth to her flat skull, defined stop, super expressive eyes, small ears which incline slightly forward, well developed cheeks and scissor bite. Standing true on very good feet and moved well enough. Excellent coat.

2. Shutt’s Red Anomi Di Poggio Petroio for Tapena (Imp Ita). 5 yr old red who is out of a smaller mould than the winner. Feminine and moderate throughout, she has a correct length of neck, firm level back, brisket reaches the elbows, pleasing rib, short loin and curled tail set on high. Attractive head with flat skull, pleasing eye and ear, good cheeks, dark pigmentation and correct dentition but overall preferred expression of winner. She is well built both ends and moves freely on the down and back and has a moderate length of stride when viewed in profile.

OB (5,3)

1. Jackson & Wright’s Ir Ch Lacsar The Real Thing (ikc). 4 yr old black/tan. This girl very much appealed, pleasing for overall type and was good to go over. She is nicely balanced with slightly arched neck of moderate length, firm in topline, good depth to brisket, correct spring of rib, nice short loin and curled tail set on high. She has a super head and expression with breadth to her flat skull, definite stop, slight furrow, obliquely placed eyes, small ears which incline forward as desired, well developed cheeks and scissor bite. Good angles front and rear and standing nice and straight in front on correct feet. Impressive profile action and self carriage and so very well handled. Offstanding coat of excellent texture. RCC.

2. Roskell’s Tapena Yamamoto Nadesshiko. 3 yr old red who was close up here but she is really quite different to the winner. She presents a lovely outline with correct length of neck to balance, firm level topline, excellent ribbing, brisket reaches the elbows which are held close to the chest, short muscular loin and curled tail set on high. Feminine headpiece with good skull, expressive almond-shaped eyes of good colour, small ears but not quite set of those of winner, well developed cheeks, nice dark pigmentation and correct dentition. Soundly built all through and standing true in front on nice tight feet. Moving freely all through and carries herself well. Very well handled.
