1. Jelfs’ Chayo Fire It Up for Lapema. 7 mth old of pleasing type, carrying good bone and showing promise. Super neck, ribbing developing well, topline to firm a tad but nothing untoward, muscular loin and tail good for set and carriage. Attractive head with masculine expression; broad skull, excellent eye and ear, large muzzle and correct dentition. Pleasing angles both front and rear and he stands on compact feet with width in front and correct forechest for age. On the move, he went well on the go around with good carriage, is true behind and pretty good coming towards. Best Puppy Dog.
2. Raby’s Kaskae La Voila at Icemoon. Approaching 12 mths this youngster also has lots to like. He presented a very nice outline with muscular neck of correct length to balance, firm through the topline with slight slope towards the croup, good depth to chest and tail good for set and carriage. Quality head with breadth to skull, obliquely placed eyes, good ears for size and set and good sized muzzle. Pleasing angulation but not quite width of chest of winner. Moving well when viewed in profile and uses himself as he goes. Excellent temperament.

1. Loades’ Snowolf Blackpowder Charge. A rather varied class which saw this 2 yr old win with some room to spare. All male, he was good hands on and soundly constructed all through. Strong neck of correct length to give balance, pretty good topline, good depth to chest, pleasing rib, well-muscled loin and tail correct for both set and carriage. Masculine headpiece with breadth to skull, excellent ears, expressive almond-shaped eyes, strength to his large muzzle and correct dentition. Moderately angulated front and rear, standing true in front on very good feet and with pleasing forechest. Gaiting freely on the down and back and goes so well when viewed in profile. Good quality coat. Considered for the RCC here today.

1. Tozzi’s Multi Ch The Magician Uniroyal. Five very different dogs competed in this class which gave me lots to consider. This 7 yr old came out on top and for me, he was the best overall package. Shown to advantage, he was a delight to go over given his correct construction. He appealed for type and presented a super outline with strong, moderately arched neck, firm topline with slight slope towards the croup, excellent ribbing, muscular loin and characteristic ‘waving plume’. Balanced headpiece with breadth to skull, excellent eye and ear, correct stop, large muzzle of good depth and scissor bite. Pleasing angles front and rear, standing nice and straight in front on excellent feet and well muscled all through. Gaiting true on the down and back and moves out with smooth, easy length of stride and excellent carriage. Good quality coat and so well handled. CC, his third I was informed, and also my Best Veteran on the day. Pleased to see he later took Veteran Group 2.
2. Jelfs’ Ch Lapema Malizioso. 5 yr old who is quite a different build than the winner, heavier and a shade bigger, carrying excellent bone and substance. He has a fabulous temperament and appealed for overall type and presented a pleasing outline with correct length of neck to give balance, characteristic topline, good depth to brisket, well developed ribbing, muscular loin and excellent tail for set and carriage. Masculine head and expression with good breadth of skull between his correctly placed ears, super eyes, large muzzle and correct dentition. Good angulation both ends and he stands on large, compact feet. Impressed on the go around with plenty of drive from the rear and such good carriage but winner had the edge coming towards. Quality coat. RCC.

1. Sheehan’s Ch Cedarcreek Frozen River. 10 yr old who was a standout in this class for me and was so good hands on. Pleasing for type, carrying such good bone and of sound construction. He presented a nicely balanced outline with moderately arched neck, firm through the topline with slight slope towards the rear, excellent ribbing, well-muscled loin and ‘waving plume’. Masculine head with good breadth to skull, excellent ears, obliquely placed eyes, good muzzle and correct dentition. Moderate angles front and rear and stands true in front on such good feet. Moving freely on the down and back and pleased on the go around too. Excellent coat.
2. Croft’s Dreamwolves Oh My Oh My VW. 8 yr old who was well handled here but of completely different type to the winner. Muscular neck of good length to give balance, correct topline which slopes slightly towards the croup and tail pleased for set and carriage. He has breadth to skull, ears of correct set, pretty good eyes and scissor bite but winner scored in overall expression. Moderately angulated both ends and standing on nice compact feet. He too is well constructed and had pleasing action all through. Pretty good coat.

1. Druce & Aitchison’s Kaskae Ooh La La avec Druxie. Two quite different pups challenged in this class with my winner found in this girl who is just coming up to 12 mths. Full of quality, she appealed for type and presented a nicely balanced outline with a super neck, correct topline with slight slope towards the croup, pleasing rib development for age, firm loin and tail set on well and of pretty good carriage. Feminine headpiece with breadth to skull between her well set ears, expressive almond-shaped eyes which are obliquely placed, muzzle of good size and scissor bite. Soundly built all through and stands true in front on compact feet and with a pleasing forechest. On the move, she is accurate on the down and back and moves out with good length of stride and excellent carriage. Best Puppy and pleased to see she later took Puppy Group 4.
2. Smith’s Snowshoes Sweet Symphony. This 6 mth old is very much a baby and with an adorable temperament. She pleased in outline with moderately arched neck of correct length to balance, firm topline with slight slope towards the rear, ribbing developing well, muscular loin and ‘waving plume’. Most attractive head, full of femininity, breadth to skull, ears set on wide apart but look a little bigger right now, expressive eyes, muzzle of good size and scissor bite. Standing true on the best of feet and when gaiting, she moved soundly all through. Good coat.

2. Smith’s Snowshoes Light The Way. 10 mth old pup who appealed for overall type and outline but is really quite immature compared to the winner and therefore needs more time. Muscular neck of correct length and moderately arched, characteristic topline of the breed, ribcage of good length but still to fully develop, firm loin and excellent tail for set and carriage. Feminine headpiece with breadth to skull between her correctly set ears, expressive almond-shaped eyes, correct stop, muzzle of good size and scissor bite. Pleasing angles front and rear and she stands well naturally on nice compact feet. Moves freely all through but winner just had the edge. Good coat but casting right now. Super temperament.

1. Jelfs’ Chayo High Jinks with Lapema. A somewhat varied class which saw this 2 yr old come out on top. She was pleasing to go over and very well handled here. Feminine throughout, she is nicely balanced with a super neck, firm backline which slopes slightly as required, pleasing ribbing and loin and pretty good tail. Attractive head with appealing expression; broad skull between her correctly placed ears, almond-shaped eyes which are dark enough, strength to muzzle and correct dentition. Soundly constructed both ends and she stands true on very good feet. When gaiting, she moved freely when coming and going and has a nice length of stride when viewed in profile. Coat of good texture.
2. Perfitt’s Samjoe Seelie Queen. 20 mth old of sound construction and another handled to advantage. Well proportioned head with feminine expression; nice breadth to skull, ears set on wide apart, obliquely placed eyes, good sized muzzle and scissor bite. 1. Smith’s Snowshoes Fancy Ferrari JW. This 2 yr old caught my eye straight away in this class and she didn’t disappoint when hands on. Totally feminine, she is well off for bone and substance, and presented a well balanced outline. Muscular neck which is moderately arched, correct topline with slight slope towards the croup, pleasing ribbing, firm loin and tail good for set and carriage. Attractive head and expression with good skull, ears pleased for size and set, obliquely placed almond-shaped eyes, large muzzle and scissor bite. Pleasing angles both ends and she stands on excellent feet. So very well handled and a showy girl who didn’t let herself down when gaiting.
2. Finan’s Kasaan's Marahootay Diamonds N Pearls. 4 yr old who also appealed in many respects and she too pleased for outline with moderately arched neck, firm backline which slopes slightly towards the rear, deep brisket, muscular loin and super tail for set and carriage. Feminine headpiece with breadth to skull, correct stop, ears set on well, eyes of correct shape but could be a shade darker and muzzle of good size. 1. Copley-Holland’s Katabatics Troubleshooter JW. A close call here between 1 and 2, both of top quality and a pleasure to judge. This 2 yr old was my winner and what a super girl she is and an absolute delight to go over. Feminine throughout, she presented a cracking outline with strong, moderately arched neck, firm topline with characteristic slope towards the croup, first class ribbing and good depth to chest, well-muscled loin and ‘waving plume’. Most attractive head and expression with good breadth to skull, ears just right for size and set, dark obliquely placed eyes, large muzzle of good width and depth and scissor bite. Carrying good bone, she is soundly built both front and rear, has a lovely forechest and stands on large compact feet. When gaiting, she was a dream; moving out with excellent carriage and true when coming and going. Quality coat and presented with excellent muscle-tone. CC & BOB and gaining her title on the day.
2. Page’s Ch The Magician Bloody Mary Cedarcreek (Imp Ita). 5 yr old who I have down well for previously and she still very much appealed. Another full of femininity but still with the bone and power so essential to the breed. Totally balanced with the best of necks, correct topline which slopes towards the rear, excellent ribbing, good depth to brisket, firm muscular loin and tail good for both set and carriage. Most attractive head with nice breadth to skull, correct stop, almond-shaped eyes, ears good for size and set, strength to muzzle and correct dentition. Soundly constructed all through, standing true in front and she has excellent feet. Moving freely on the down and back, opens up well when viewed in profile and carries herself so well. Good quality coat and shown to advantage. RCC.

1. Edwards & Molloy’s Bel Ch Wintablizard's Gin Lover (AI). 9 yr old who has much to like. She is well off for bone, appealed for overall type and presented a nicely balanced outline. Strong neck with moderate arch, firm topline which slopes towards the rear as desired, well developed ribbing, muscular loin and pleasing tail. Feminine headpiece with breadth to skull, ears set on wide, eyes of correct shape and acceptable colour, large muzzle of good depth and correct dentition. Good angulation both ends and she has nice straight forelegs and stands on excellent feet. One the move, she went so well on the go around and carries herself well, is true coming towards but just a tad closer going away. Good coat.
2. Woodhead’s Koromandel Rushin Around at Noraisy. Approaching 12 yrs, this girl also has plenty to like and she has a super temperament. She has a tad more length to her and therefore winner had the edge in overall outline but she has a strong neck which is moderately arched, characteristic topline of the breed and tail pleased for both set and carriage. Attractive head with broad skull, ears set on just right, correct stop, eyes just a tad rounder perhaps due to age, large muzzle and excellent dentition. Pleasing angulation and she stands on very good feet. Moving soundly all through. Somewhat heavier coat than 1.
