1. Heyes’ Pol/Nld Ch Arcticice Qimmiq Tlun at Chillipaws (Imp Can). 8 yr old black/white. Quality lad standing alone here but more than worthy of company. All male, carrying good bone and so good to go over. Presenting a balanced outline with correct short, thick neck, firm level back, excellent ribbing, muscular loin and tail set on well. Masculine headpiece with good breadth to skull, the best of eyes, thick triangular ears which are well furred, muzzle of correct length to balance and scissor bite with nice big teeth. Soundly constructed all through, standing true in front on excellent feet and with a super forechest. Moving true on the down and back and nice steady profile action with very good carriage. Not quite in full coat on the day but my selection for Best Veteran.

1. Hooley’s Akna Palmatum. 9 mth old grey/white. Only a baby and very immature but I thought him correct for type and he has the frame which in time will fill. Muscular neck, level back, ribcage of good length and tail correct for set and carriage. Attractive wedge-shaped head but still to fully develop; expressive eyes which are obliquely placed, ears good for size and set and correct dentition. Pleasing angles front and rear, standing on large feet but to develop in forechest. Moves out with moderate length of stride, excellent hind action and pretty good coming towards but time will help with this.

1. Pyper’s Snoqualmie Short Stirling. 10 mth black/white. This youngster very much appealed. I thought him an excellent type, he carries super bone and he presented such a good outline. Muscular neck of correct length to balance, firm level back, well-muscled loin and tail set on well and of good carriage. Quality head with masculine expression; good skull, dark eyes of correct placement, well furred thick ears and scissor bite. Pleasing angulation front and rear and stands on excellent feet. He needs to fill in forechest which hopefully will come as he matures. When gaiting he impressed on the go around and carries himself well, front needs to tighten but he’s nice and firm when going away. Hope he’s done all his growing. Best Puppy.

1. Byrne’s Aavuuta Qimmiq Akiak ShCEx (Imp Can) Bel/Ir Jch. 3 yr old grey/white. Quality male who greatly appealed and was so good hands on. Presented with excellent muscle-tone and beautifully balanced with muscular, thick neck, firm through the topline, excellent rib, deep brisket, well-muscled loin and tail set on moderately high and of good carriage. Super head and expression with good breadth to skull, dark eyes which are obliquely placed, thick, well furred ears, tapering muzzle of medium length and correct dentition. Well boned with well laid shoulders, standing nice and straight in front on good feet and firm, muscular hindquarters with well turned stifles. I thought him quite outstanding on the go around, gaiting freely with excellent carriage. Good quality coat and very well handled. Best Dog & BOB.

2. Bailey’s Ir Ch Akna Panda* Ir Jun Ch. 22 mth old sable, black/white. This boy was another who pleased, carries such good bone and he presented a very similar outline to the winner. So very well balanced with correct short neck, level topline, chest of good depth, correct spring of rib, muscular loin and tail pleased for both set and carriage. First class head; wedge-shaped with breadth to skull, expressive obliquely placed eyes, excellent ears, muzzle of medium length and scissor bite. Good angles front and rear, stands true in front on the best of feet and is well-muscled all through. He also pleased when gaiting, moving out with good self carriage and another who was very well handled. Reserve Best Dog.

3. Atkins & Cunningham’s Qimugta Hendricks

VB (1,0)

1. Atkins’ Akna Peechee for Qimugta VW ShCEx*. White/red approaching 10 yrs who certainly belies her age. Feminine all through, she presented a nicely balanced outline with muscular neck, level back, good depth to brisket and moderate spring of rib and tail correct for both set and carriage. Wedge-shaped head with feminine expression; obliquely placed eyes of good colour, well furred ears, medium length to muzzle and correct dentition. She has pleasing angles both ends, stands straight in front on good feet and moved out well on the go around and also gaited freely when coming and going. Would just liked a tad more breadth all through. Good quality coat.

PB (1,0)

1. Hooley’s Snoqualmie Fairy Firefly. 10 mth old black/white. Rather raw youngster but she pleased for overall type and outline. Correct short neck, firm through the topline, ribbing carried well back but obviously still to fully develop and tail set on moderately high and of good carriage. Feminine headpiece with pleasing skull development, nice dark eyes, ears of correct set, medium length to muzzle and scissor bite. Pleasing angulation both front and rear and she stands on good feet although a little untidy right now. She needs to fill out in front which will hopefully come in time. Moving out with moderate length of stride and carries herself well.

PGB (1,0)

1. Cronin’s Norstrela Lost Jewel. 3 yr old black/white who unfortunately was a tad overawed by the whole experience. She began to settle towards the end of the class and would have benefited if there had been other dogs in the ring with her. Pleasing outline with correct length of neck to give balance, firm level back, moderate ribbing which is carried well back, muscular loin and on the move she carries her tail well. Attractive wedge-shaped head with expressive eyes, ears of correct placement, moderate length of muzzle and good dentition. Pleasing angles both ends and she moved well on the go around and was so good when going away. Front action not perfect but nothing untoward. Good texture to coat.

OB (4,0)

1. Atkins’ Qimugta Harpist. A varied class for type and outlines which saw this 6 yr old black/white come out on top. This girl appealed for type and presented a beautifully balanced outline with muscular neck of correct length, firm straight back, excellent ribbing, deep through the brisket, well-muscled loin and tail set on moderately high which she carries well. Wedge-shaped head with feminine expression; breadth to skull, obliquely placed dark eyes, short well set ears, medium length to muzzle and scissor bite. Shoulders well laid and she stands well on large, well arched feet. So good on the go around, using herself to the max as she goes and was nice and true when going away. Good quality coat and shown here in excellent muscle-tone. Best Bitch.

2. Byrne’s Int/Ir/Nld Ch Harpan Charlotte Bay Ir/B Jch. 6 yr old grey/white. This girl also pleased but she presented a somewhat different outline to that of the winner. Having said that she was good hands on and shown here to advantage. Muscular neck, level back, good depth to chest and pleasing rib, well-muscled loin and tail correct for both set and carriage. Attractive wedge-shaped head, expressive eyes, ears set on well, moderate length to muzzle and scissor bite. She has good angles front and rear and stands nice and straight in front on good feet. She too went so well when viewed in profile and has excellent carriage. Very good coat.

3. Atkins’ Ir Ch Qimugta Miss Marple Ir Jch

GCB (1,0)

1. Graham’s Akna Voorhees**. 5 yr old white/grey who I thought so good for type and was a delight to go over. Feminine all through, she scored in outline with thick muscular neck, firm straight topline, good depth to brisket and moderate spring of rib, well-muscled loin and tail pleased for both set and carriage. Well proportioned wedge-shaped head with sufficient breadth to skull, dark obliquely placed eyes, ears set on well and correct dentition. Soundly constructed all through, stands so well naturally on good feet and was shown here with excellent muscling. When gaiting, she was true when coming and going and had a good length of stride on the go around too. Very well handled. Reserve Best Bitch.
