1. Smee & Coleman’s Blacktide Bolts Son among Schnaubern. Three pleasing youngsters competed in this class. This 13 mth old came on top and he very much appealed. Good for size with correct bone and presented the desired square outline of the breed. Slightly arched neck of moderate length, short level back, good couplings, slight slope to croup and tail set on high. Masculine head of good proportions, correct breadth to skull, minimal stop, expressive eyes, excellent ears, good bite and nice dark palate. Soundly built all through and he stands true in front on good feet. Gaiting freely with good carriage. Good texture to coat and well presented. Best Dog, BOB and Best Junior.

2. Forrest & Lucas’ Schnaubern Gienah Star over Philandros. 8 mth old who is well balanced but rather raw right now. Moderate length of neck which is slightly arched, short back with firm topline, ribbing extends well back and short in the couplings. I really liked his head and expression; good skull to muzzle proportions, oval-shaped eyes of good colour and placement, correct ears, minimal stop, scissor bite and well pigmented palate. Pleasing angulation both ends and when gaiting, he moved in characteristic fashion for the breed on the go around. Best Puppy Dog.

3. Benstead’s Schnaubern Gakyid Star

1. McRobbie’s Mykabel Errar. Two very different dogs challenged in this class. This 3 yr old was my winner, scoring in overall outline. Moderate length of neck, short back with firm topline, ribcage of good length, short loin and tail set on nice and high. Well proportioned head with pleasing eye, very good ears, correct dentition and darkly pigmented palate. Moderate angles front and rear and went well enough on the go around.

2. Cooper & Lyn’s Pumiden White Said Fred. 3 yr old white who wasn’t at all settled on the day. Somewhat longer cast and therefore not quite the balance of winner and he was carrying more weight than preferred. Muscular neck, firm topline, deep brisket and ribbing carried well back. Pleasing skull, ears set on high, eyes somewhat prominent, correct length of muzzle and palate of good colour. Movement not easy to fully assess but he’s a tad wider in front than the ideal.

1. Pike & Carter’s Breezelyn Ear Sumut Special Cw25. Mature 5 yr old who pleased for overall type and presented a nice square outline with slightly arched neck of correct length to balance, firm through the topline, good depth to chest, excellent ribbing, short loin and tail set on high and of good carriage. Well proportioned head with masculine expression, minimal stop, dark oval-shaped eyes of correct set, excellent ears, good bite and darkly pigmented palate. Correct bone and pleasing angulation front and rear, elbows close to the body and stands true in front. Shows himself off to advantage and moved well all through. Good coat and presentation. Reserve Best Dog.

Muscular, slightly arched neck, short back with firm topline, deep brisket, correct ribbing, nice short loin and tail good for both set and carriage. Quality headpiece with masculine expression; good skull to muzzle proportions, correct stop, super eye and ear, scissor bite and nice dark palate. Correct bone for the breed and his build, pleasing angles both ends and he stands well naturally and has very good feet. Pleasing action all through and so very well handled. Best Veteran.

1. Sarantos’ Schnaubern Gemini Crossing Blacktide. 8 mth old who is feminine all through, appealed for type and presented a nicely balanced outline. Slightly arched neck of correct length, nice and short in back with level topline, ribbing carried well back but still to fully develop, short in the couplings, correct croup and tail pleased for both set and carriage. Super head and expression; pleasing breadth to skull, good proportions, excellent eye and ear, minimal stop, scissor bite and darkly pigmented palate. Good angles front and rear, elbows close to the body and she has a good length of leg and stands true. Pleasing action and self carriage on the go around. Just needs to fill out which will come in time. Best Puppy.

1. Johns’ Breezelyn Ears A Top Tip at Alepenkye. 5 yr old of pleasing type. She presented a nicely balanced outline with moderate length of neck, short back with firm topline, good depth to brisket, ribbing carried well back, short loin, slight slope to croup and tail good for set and carriage. Feminine headpiece with pleasing proportions, dark expressive eyes, very good ears, scissor bite and well pigmented palate. Correct bone for the breed and she stands true in front but could have a tad more forechest development. When gaiting, she was true fore and aft and also pleased on the go around. Good quality coat and presentation. Reserve Best Bitch.

1. John’s Breezelyn Ears A Breakthrou for Alepenkye. Two very different bitches competed in this class with this 3 yr old coming out on top. At the lower end of the standard height wise but she is nicely balanced, carries moderately fine bone and was good hands on. Clean, slightly arched neck of medium length, short back with firm level topline, correct ribbing which extends well back, short in the couplings, correct croup and tail set on high and of good carriage. Well proportioned head with feminine expression; dark expressive eyes of good placement, excellent ears, minimal stop, scissor bite and well pigmented palate. Pleasing angulation both front and rear, elbows close to the body and she stands true on good feet. Gaiting with correct length of stride and good carriage. Very good coat. Best Bitch.

2. Smee & Coleman’s Ir Ch Mykabel Electra Star from Schnaubern. 3 yr old who is a different build to the winner, being a little heavier all through, however I liked her outline and balance and she is nice and square. Moderate length of neck which is slightly arched, short firm back, deep brisket, good length to ribcage, short in the couplings, good croup and tail set and carriage just right. Balanced head with dark oval-shaped eyes, ears set on high with upper third bending forward to give characteristic expression of the breed, minimal stop, scissor bite and nice dark pigmentation to palate. When gaiting she went pretty well on the go around but 1 had the edge when coming towards. Good quality coat.
