1. Stevenson-Bramley’s Caelestibleu How You Doin. 9 mth old Basset Bleu de Gascogne. Promising youngster who was well handled here. He appealed for overall type and is nicely balanced. Slightly arched neck of good length, firm straight backline with good length to ribcage, muscular loin and tail of good carriage. Attractive head and expression with oval-shaped eyes of good colour, ears of correct set and of good length, roman nose and scissor bite. Pleasing angulation front and rear, slight crook to forelegs and stands on good feet. Moving out well on the go around with good carriage and excellent rear action. Best Dog & Best Puppy.

1. Middleton’s Rasteau De La Foret D'aurix avec Caelestibleu. 4 yr old Basset Bleu de Gascogne who wasn’t entirely settled on the day. He presented a pleasing outline with neck of good length to balance, firm topline, ribbing extends well back and tail of good carriage. Nicely proportioned head with dark oval-shaped eyes which give a very nice expression, ears good for both length and set and correct dentition. Good angles front and rear, prominent sternum, crook to forelegs and stands on good feet. When gaiting, he pleased on the go around and carries himself well. Reserve Best Dog.

1. Middleton’s Schumann Des Vallees Longeronnaises avec Caelestibleu. 4 yr old Basset Blue de Gascogne. Pleasing for type, this boy carries strong bone and is very well muscled. Excellent neck, firm through the topline but with more length to body, deep brisket, firm croup and tail well set on and of good carriage. Pleasing head with dark expressive eyes of correct shape, ears good for length and set, roman nose and good dentition. He has more crook to front than would prefer and this affects his action coming towards, however he moved pretty well on the go around.

1. Wyer’s Otis Du Rec De La Borie (Imp Fra). 7 yr old Griffon Fauve de Bretagne. Carrying strong bone he has a moderately short neck but doesn’t flow into the shoulder as would like to see, he’s firm in topline, has a good depth to brisket, muscular loin and tail of medium length. Pleasing head with very good eyes for shape and colour, ears of correct set and scissor bite. He stands straight in front but a little wider and has nice compact feet. Moves pretty well on the down and back. Harsh texture to coat.

1. Skaboullos’ Cunninghams Aveline for Trailtracker (imp Deu). 15 mth old Black & Tan Coonhound. Quality youngster who was a delight to go over given her correct construction and very well handled here. She has a super neck, is firm through the topline, deep in chest, well ribbed back, slight slope to croup and tail pleased for both set and carriage. Balanced headpiece with good planes, expressive eyes, ears set on low and well back on the skull, well open nostrils and scissor bite. Shoulders well laid, standing true in front on excellent feet and with pleasing forechest development. When gaiting, she is accurate on the down and back and has a good length of stride on the go around and carries herself well. She is some way from maturity but my Best Bitch & Best AV Imported Breed Register Hound winner today.

Nicely balanced girl with a super neck with slight arch, firm in topline, deep chest, ribbing carried well back and good croup and tail set. Feminine headpiece with very good eye and ear, roman nose, wide open nostrils and correct dentition. She has good angles front and rear and stands well in front on oval-shaped feet and pleased in forechest. Sound all through when gaiting and with good carriage.

1. Cooper’s Hibeck Ginny avec Jayanel. I really liked the first two in this class with the nod going to this 4 old Griffon Fauve de Bretagne. Soundly constructed girl carrying strong bone and so good hands on. She is so good in outline with muscular neck, firm level back, deep through the brisket, excellent ribbing, well-muscled loin and tail set on high of correct carriage. Super head and expression with excellent eye and ear, slight stop, correct dentition and good furnishings. She has good angles front and rear and stands true in front with a very good forechest. Sound, free action with excellent carriage. Rough, harsh coat. Reserve Best Bitch.

2. Gunn’s Stonemartin Ailbe with Katanga (IKC) ShCEx. 5 yr old Azawakh who is elegant as desired and very much appealed in outline. Long, slightly arched neck, firm topline, correct depth to chest, good underline, oblique croup and tail set on low. Delightful head with feminine expression; long and fine with slight stop, almond-shaped eyes, clean through the cheeks and scissor bite. She stands true in front on good feet and moved out with characteristic gait and carriage. Very well handled.

1. Middleton’s Mabelle D'an Noaned avec Caelestibleu. 9 yr old Basset Bleu de Gascogne who carries strong bone and presented a nicely balanced outline. Slightly arched neck, firm level back, good depth to brisket, muscular loin and tail good for set and carriage. Attractive headpiece with feminine expression, super eye and ear and correct dentition. She has a prominent sternum and pleasing angles but rather more crook to front than desired. Gaiting freely on the go around with good carriage. Best Veteran.

1. Dewar-Fowler’s Sangrereal Treacle Tart. Coated Xoloitzcuintle (Mexican Hairless) bitch. Coming up to 12 mths, this standard girl is very raw right now and would benefit from more socialisation and ringcraft. Feminine all through with elegant neck of good length, ribbing still to develop fully but extends well back and correct croup. Balanced headpiece with dark almond-shaped eyes, ears of correct set but a tad soft, parallel planes and excellent dentition. She stands on good feet but would like to see some fill in front. Moves out well when viewed in profile. Best Special Beginners.

1. Thornton & Lockhart’s Nubeiro Aoki (imp Mex). Miniature Xoloitzcuintle (Mexican Hairless) of 8 mths. Pleasing pup who is nicely balanced with slightly arched neck, excellent topline, ribbed well back and rib developing as it should for age, muscular loin, correct croup and tail set. Masculine head with good skull to muzzle proportions, expressive almond-shaped eyes and ears of good size and set. He stands on correct feet but is still to develop fully in chest although he has plenty of time on his side. Moves out with pretty good length of stride and has an excellent rear. Very good feel to skin. Best Puppy.

1. Chambers, Balode & Emerson’s Everybody Princes De La Roses at Tamoanchan (imp Ger). 12 mth old intermediate Xoloitzcuintle (Mexican Hairless) dog. Balanced youngster who was good to go over. He has an excellent neck, is firm through the topline, ribbing is carried well back, correct in croup and tail pleased for both set and carriage. Head of good proportions with masculine expression; breadth to skull, dark almond-shaped eyes, excellent ears and good bite. Pleasing angulation front and rear and he stands true in front on correct feet for the breed. Moving freely with particularly good hindquarters. Excellent skin. Reserve Best Dog.

1. Unwin & Winter’s Morningcalm Who's The Daddy. 3 yr old white Korean Jindo. Nicely balanced lad with a slightly arched neck of moderate length, firm in topline, good depth to brisket, ribbing extends well back, muscular loin and tail set on high. Attractive head with good skull, dark oval-shaped eyes, ears or correct set, excellent pigmentation and scissor bite. Pleasing angles both front and rear and he moves out with moderate length of stride but could be cleaner at the pasterns coming towards. Off-standing coat.

1. Cunningham’s Hr/Lux Ch Yulyeong Rock Dee Jay. Red Korean Jindo just coming up to 5 yrs. Balanced in outline with clean neck of moderate length, firm through the topline, ribbing carried well back, muscular loin and high set curled tail. Masculine headpiece with dark almond-shaped eyes which are obliquely placed, medium sized ears which incline slightly forward and muzzle of correct length to balance. Soundly built all through and he stands straight in front on nice tight feet. Gaiting freely on the down and back and moderate length of stride on the go around. Best Dog.

Unwin & Winter’s Lux/Bel Ch Morningcalm White Wizard at Snowtrekka. 7 yr old white Korean Jindo who presented a lovely outline with a super neck, firm level back, well sprung ribs, muscular loin and tail set on high. Head of good proportions with masculine expression, best of eyes and ears and correct dentition. He stands nice and straight in front and has excellent feet and is moderately angulated both ends. Moves out very well on the go around with good carriage, is true coming towards but a tad closer going away. Best Veteran.

1. Cassidy’s Ring Rider Wrecking Ball for Chinaskys (Imp Hrv). 13 mth old standard Xoloitzcuintle (Mexican Hairless). Balanced girl with a slightly arched neck of good length, firm topline, deep through the brisket, well muscled loin, slightly rounded croup and correct set on of tail. Well proportioned head with good planes, excellent eye and ear, moderately developed cheeks and perfect dentition. She has good angles front and rear and stands on correct feet for the breed. On the move, she is true when coming and going and opened up well on the go around. Reserve Best Bitch.

1. Spry, Balode & Emerson’s Tamoanchan Xareni. Standard Xoloitzcuintle (Mexican Hairless) of 2 yrs who was good to go over and has excellent skin. Slightly arched neck of correct length to balance, firm topline, well sprung ribs, correct croup and tail set on as it should be. Attractive head with feminine expression; good skull to muzzle proportions, almond-shaped eyes, good planes and dentition. She stands well naturally in front and has excellent feet and when gaiting, she was free on the down and back and opened up well when viewed in profile.

2. Unwin & Winter’s Liubice Diamante at Snowtrekka (AI). 3 yr old white Korean Jindo. Soundly constructed girl who was a delight to go over. She presented a pleasing outline with slightly arched neck of moderate length, firm level back, good spring of rib and tail set on high. Feminine headpiece with super expression; excellent eye and ear, dark pigmentation and scissor bite. Moderately angulated both ends and she stands nice and straight in front on good feet. Went so well on the go around with very good carriage.

1. Chambers’ Tamoanchan Nefertiri to Musique. 3 yr old intermediate Xoloitzcuintle (Mexican Hairless). This girl stood out for me in this class and was so good hands on. Feminine throughout with slightly arched neck of good length, firm through the topline, excellent ribbing, muscular loin, slightly rounded croup and tail pleased for both set and carriage. Head of good proportions, breadth to skull, correct stop, almond-shaped eyes, pleasing ears, good planes and dentition. Soundly built all through, elbows close to the chest, straight forelegs and stands on very good feet. Moving freely fore and aft and also pleased on the go around. Good quality skin and very well handled. Best Bitch & Best Imported Breed Register Utility. Pleased to see she later made the Group shortlist.

2. Spry’s Bel/Lux Ch Roltamshe Skye. This 4 yr old intermediate Xoloitzcuintle (Mexican Hairless) is another with lots to like. Balanced in outline with good length of neck, firm level back, good depth to brisket, pleasing rib, well-muscled loin and correct croup. Attractive head with good skull to muzzle proportions, pleasing eye and ear and moderately developed cheeks. She has pleasing angulation front and rear but would like a little more fill in front. She has an excellent rear and goes well when viewed in profile, but winner had the edge.

1. Ratcliffe’s Swissdawn Emil Argo for Tribern. 2 yr old Entlebucher Mountain Dog who was very well handled. Soundly built lad with a muscular neck of moderate length, pretty good topline, well sprung ribs and tail of good carriage. Well proportioned head with good planes, round expressive eyes, ears set on high and correct dentition. Pleasing angulation front and rear, standing straight in front on compact feet and muscular hindquarters. Moving freely with good carriage. Best AV Imported Breed Register Working.

1. Smith & Brown’s Tamalden Ahead of the Game. Two 7 mth old White Swiss Shepherd Dog pups challenged here. They turned out to be littermates but they are really quite different to each other. This lad was my winner and is a little more substantial than 2 right now. Excellent neck which is well arched, firm level back, ribbing developing well, muscular loin, pleasing croup but more slope than that of 2 and tail good for set and carriage. Masculine headpiece with obliquely placed eyes of good colour, very good ears for size and set, parallel planes and scissor bite. Pleasing angulation both ends and he covers the ground when viewed in profile.

2. Atkin’s Tamalden All The Rage at Ellupo. This boy also presented a good outline with a very good neck, firm through the topline, well ribbed back, muscular loin and tail of good carriage. Head of good proportions with pleasing eye and ears, correct planes, excellent pigmentation and scissor bite but overall expression not quite that of winner. Well laid shoulders, elbows held close to the chest and firm, muscular hindquarters. On the go around, he opens up well and is true when going away but could be firmer at the pasterns when coming towards. Well handled.

1. Atkin’s Brigham Snow Tempest to Ellupo. 4 yr old White Swiss Shepherd Dog. Pleasing boy, carrying good bone and masculine all through. Muscular neck of good length to balance, level back, brisket reaches the elbows, pleasing ribbing, firm loin, slight slope to croup and tail set on low. Clean cut head with good skull, dark expressive eyes, ears set on high, good planes, well pigmented eye rims and lips and scissor bite. Pleasing angles front and rear and he stands nice and straight in front on correct oval-shaped feet. Moving freely on the down and back and with moderate length of stride on the go around. Reserve Best Dog.

1. Brown’s Kontrastas Hector The Noble with Tamalden. 6 yr old White Swiss Shepherd Dog who is fully mature. All male, he is good hands on and pleased for overall type. Muscular neck which is well arched, firm level topline, deep brisket, well ribbed back, slight slope to croup and tail correct for both set and carriage. Pleasing head and expression with parallel planes, slight stop, excellent eye and ear, dark pigmentation and correct dentition. Good angles front and rear and well muscled all through. Comes into his own on the go around and covers the ground with ease. Best Dog.

2. Henshaw’s Whitehemi's Brabham. 2 yr old medium coated White Swiss Shepherd Dog who has plenty to like. Well arched neck of correct length to give balance, firm backline, pleasing rib and tail good for set and carriage. Nicely proportioned head with dark almond-shaped eyes which are obliquely placed, ears set on high but reluctant to use them, parallel planes, well pigmented all through and scissor bite. When gaiting, he opened up well when viewed in profile but could be more positive coming towards.

1. Brown’s Tamalden All Eyes On Me. Two pleasing White Swiss Shepherd Dog pups competed against each other here. This 7 mth old girl was my winner and she was super to go over given her correct construction. She has a very good neck, is firm through the topline, ribbing extends well back, well-muscled loin, slight slope to croup and tail pleased for set and carriage. Feminine headpiece with correct planes, almond-shaped eyes of correct placement which could be darker to enhance expression, ears set on well, very good pigmentation and scissor bite. Standing true in front on good feet, when gaiting she was accurate on the down and back and has a good length of stride when viewed in profile. Best Puppy.

2. Henshaw’s Whitehemi's Crossley. 7 mth old who wasn’t quite as well schooled as the winner but she was another who was good to go over. Moderately long neck, firm level topline, ribbing developing well and carried well back, gently sloping croup and tail good for length, set and carriage. Quality head and expression with parallel planes, almond-shaped eyes of good colour, excellent ears and nice dark pigmentation. She needs to fill in forechest but has plenty of time on her side. Pleasing action when coming and going and goes ok on the go around but winner had the edge.

1. Brown’s Faith Follow Your Dream Lord of the North with Tamalden. Another class which saw two nice but quite different White Swiss Shepherd Dogs challenging. This 4 yr old came out on top and she really did appeal and was a delight to go over. She presented a lovely outline with arched neck of good length, firm level topline, brisket reaching the elbows, ribbing carried well back, well-muscled loin, gentle slope to croup and tail set on low and of correct carriage. Attractive head with feminine expression; parallel planes, dark almond-shaped eyes, ears set on high, excellent pigmentation and scissor bite. Soundly built both ends and she stands well naturally in front, has correct oval-shaped feet and rear pasterns are vertical. Gaiting freely on the down and back and covers the ground when viewed in profile. Best Bitch & Best AV Imported Breed Register Pastoral.

2. Strange’s White Dream Team Simply The Best (Imp). 2 yr old who is feminine throughout and she was also good hands on. Muscular neck of correct length to give balance, chest of good depth and pleasing ribbing but she has more slope to croup, however her tail is set on low and of correct carriage. Most appealing head and expression with pleasing proportions and planes, slight stop, eyes of good colour, ears set on well and correct dentition. Shoulders well laid and she stands nice and straight in front. Moving freely when coming and going and opens up well on the go around. Reserve Best Bitch.

1. Blair’s Fidelix Outrageous. 14 mth old Korthals Griffon. Pleasing youngster of good type who presented a well balanced outline with good length of neck, ribbing extends well back, good depth to chest and tail carried just above the topline. Attractive head with good proportions and planes, rounded expressive eyes, good furnishings and scissor bite. Pleasing angles front and rear and he stands straight in front but still to fully develop in forechest. Moves soundly all through and covers the ground when viewed in profile. Well handled.

1. Fox, Stilgoe & Stilgoe’s Teisgol King Arthur. Portuguese Pointer of 3 yrs who has lots to like and was well handled here. Slightly arched neck of moderate length, straight back which slopes slightly towards the croup, well sprung ribs which are carried well back, brisket reaching the elbows, short muscular loin and tail pleased for both set and carriage. Balanced headpiece with breadth to skull, distinct stop, expressive eyes, ears set on high and correct dentition. Soundly built lad with straight forelegs, good feet and pleasing forechest. Moves freely on the down and back and has a good length of stride on the go around.

1. Davies’ Adonis Sheep On Hunt at Barbamor (Imp Pol). 2 yr old black Barbet dog who very much appealed and was so good hands on. He is correct in outline with strong, muscular neck, firm level back, brisket reaches the elbows, nice and short in the couplings and tail set on low and of correct carriage. Delightful head with masculine expression; skull of good breadth, distinct stop, dark round eyes, square muzzle and scissor bite. Carrying good bone, he has pleasing angles front and rear and stands nice and straight in front on good feet. When gaiting, he is excellent on the go around and uses himself as he goes. Profuse coat with natural curls. Best Dog.

2. McCullough’s Fidelix Special Edition at Kimmax. Korthals Griffon of 3 yrs. Soundly constructed lad who pleased in outline with neck of good length, firm through the topline, deep in brisket, ribbed well back, good croup and tail correct for both set and carriage. Well proportioned head with parallel planes, expressive eyes, ears of correct set and scissor bite. On the go around, he opens up well and has good carriage. Harsh coat.

Solidly built lad who was good hands on and pleased for outline with good length of neck, excellent topline, well sprung ribs, muscular loin, firm croup and tail just right for set and carriage. Masculine headpiece of good proportions, excellent eye and ear and good furnishings. He stands well naturally in front and has night tight feet and also pleased in forechest. Moves freely on the down and back and covers the ground with excellent drive from the rear. Reserve Best Dog and Best Veteran.

1. Cumberland’s Khyannes Oceane avec Mumysami (imp Hun). Braque D’Auvergne of 9 mths who wasn’t entirely settled and would benefit from some more socialisation and ringcraft. Feminine all through, she has a good length of neck, pleasing topline, ribbing is carried well back and slope to croup. Balanced headpiece with eyes of good colour but showing haw, moderate stop and good dentition. Only a baby and needing to develop in forechest but she stands true in front. Moves ok on the go around and pleasing rear action. Best Puppy.

1. Davies’ Yello Vom Zulimo mit Barbamor (imp Ch). 3 yr old brown Barbet. Nicely balanced girl with correct length of neck to give balance, firm topline, good depth to chest and ribbing carried well back. Feminine head and expression with pleasing proportions, well defined stop, good eye and ear and correct dentition. She stands straight in front on good feet and opened up well on the go around. Good quality coat. Would just like a tad more breadth all through.

2. Boughton’s Parkbalk Ariel Dianell avec Brwynstep. Braque D’Auvergne of 2 yrs. Feminine girl who was well handled here. Neck of good length which is slightly arched, deep brisket and good length to ribcage but could be better in topline, however she is correct in croup. Head of good length with fairly equal skull to muzzle proportions, expressive eyes, ears set on low and scissor bite. She stands on tight oval-shaped feet but would like to see more fill to front. Correct short, glossy coat with characteristic loose skin of the breed.

1. Taylor’s Swiss Sh Ch Fabpoint Pagan through Pointoak Ww23. 3 yr old Portuguese Pointer who is full of quality and was a delight to go over. Slightly arched neck of moderate length, firm through the topline, good depth to chest, excellent ribbing, short in the couplings, gently slope to croup and tail of correct set. Most attractive head with feminine expression; she has good breadth of skull, well defined stop, round eyes of good colour, ears set on high, square muzzle and scissor bite. Soundly constructed all through and I particularly liked her front assembly; standing true on excellent feet and very good in forechest. When gaiting, she is accurate on the down and back and a pleasure to watch on the go around. Best Bitch & Best AV Imported Breed Register Gundog.

2. Blair’s Fidelix High Fidelity. This 6 yr old Korthals Griffon was another who pleased, was good to go over and presented a nicely balanced outline. Neck of good length, firm through the topline, good depth to chest, excellent ribbing, correct croup and docked tail of good carriage. Head of good proportions with feminine expression; good eye and ear, parallel planes and pleasing furnishings. She is well built both front and rear and stands straight in front on good feet and also pleased in forechest. Gaiting freely all through and opens up well on the go around. Harsh coat. Reserve Best Bitch.
