Thank you to the committee of Working & Pastoral Breeds Association of Wales for the invitation to judge German Shepherd Dogs at their very well organised show on Saturday 19th April 2025. Thank you to all the exhibitor, for giving me the opportunity to go over your dogs, I was please to see all dog were presented to good condition, all with a true correct bite and full dentition.

Veteran: - 1 - FINNIGAN – Reyakosa Brandon 7 ½ year old B/T Male, Lovely masculine head, dark eye, correct ear set. Correct front and rear angles, firm withers, straight back into a slightly short steep croup. Sound out & back showing good strength in hocks, held topline on the move with an effortless side gait. Well handled. BV

 2 – CAVE Ballynabola Ria at Casianna – 7 year L/C bitch – Feminine head, dark eye, good ear set, slightly steep in upper arm, feet could be better, correct rear angles, nice top line which she held on the move. Sound in movement.

Junior Dog: 1 – CLINTON – Westlawn Travis, 15 month B/T mid/top size, lovely head piece, dark eye, correct ear set, slightly steep in upper arm, lovely flowing topline, which he maintained on the move, good angles front and back, very promising young dog. Moved well in all directions.

2 – MORGAN – Lornstone Sijur – 13 months B/T mid/top size, good head with lovely dark mask, dark eye and correct ear set, slight straight in front, hight withers nice topline into a short croup, tail set high, moved sound out & back with good side gait.

PGD : - 1 - CAVE – Absela River at Casianna – 2 ½ year old B/T, top size masculine pleasing head, dark eye, correct ear set. Good front assembly, slightly down on front pasterns, high withers, straight back into a long croup and correct rear angulation, sound out & back with good side gait. Well handled

2 – FINNIGAN – Reyakosa Diablo 2 1/2 year b/t mid/top side, pleasing head with dark eye and correct ear set, short steep upper arm, nice top line and correct rear angulation. Sound in all direction.

OPEN DOG: - I had two quality males in this class, which both fought hard for that red card today.

1 – BROWN & THOMAS – Ardenburg Bix 2 ½ year, lovely masculine head, with correct ear set, very good front angles good firm withers, lovely top line, leading into well moulded correct croup, correct underline with pleasing rear angles, moved out & back soundly and a lovely effortless side gait holding his topline. very well handled.BD & BOB

2- HENSLEY – CH Desjiem Van De Herdersfarm – 5 year old, lovely head with good expression, dark eye, correct ear carriage. Good firm withers into a long topline, croup is slightly short and steep, correct front & rear angles. Sound out & back, effortless side gait. RBD

PUPPY B.

1 – HINCE – Chalkville Summer Breeze Brixenburg – 11 months, feminine head, dark eye correct ear set, slightly steep upper arm, strong pasterns, nice feet, straight topline, good croup. Sound out & back, nice side gait, well handled.

JUNIOR B.

1 – BROWN & THOMAS – Swnynant Isabora 15 months B/T top size, feminine head with dark eyes, lovely ear set, correct front and rear angles, good firm withers into a lovely topline with correct croup. Moved well holding her shape, very promising. Well handled. RBB

2 – CLINTON – Westlawn Tallulah 15month B/T, top size, very feminine head with soft expression, correct front and rear angles, she had a lovely top line and a well moulded croup. Moved soundly with a effortless side gait. Just carrying a little a few extra pounds.

PGB

1 – BRETT – Chica Guapa of Blanik- 2 year old B/T long coat, correct eyes and ear set with pleasing feminine head, steep upper arm, firm wither, correct top line into a long croup, nice rear angles. This girl was hiding nothing, as she left her coat a home. Moved soundly, well handled.

OPEN B

1 – BROWN & THOMAS – Swnynant Guiliana, 5 1/2 year old, Med/top size, strong head, dark eye, correct ear set. Firm withers leading into a lovely top line and well moulded croup front & rear angles correct and lovely under line. Moved soundly with determination, well handled. BB
