My thanks to the committee of M.B.C.C. for their invitation to judge bitches at their championship show 16/3/2025. 

A very well run show with a great atmosphere, I really enjoyed my day. 

Thanks also to my 2 excellent ring stewards, Margaret Garland and Celia Vines, for keeping everything in order and flowing smoothly, and of course to the exhibitors for allowing me the privilege of going over your lovely bitches. I apologise for the briefness of some reports, unfortunately my recorder seemed to be better at picking up barking dogs than my voice !

I felt type was a little varied, temperament was excellent, as was presentation and condition, with just a few carrying a little extra weight. Foot shape seems to have greatly improved, with hardly any of the small cat feet, overly deep stops and short tails that seemed to be creeping into the breed a few years ago. Mouths were good, with correct bites, and it was good to see plenty of very nice pups in the younger classes, which bodes well for the breed in the future.

Two delightfull babies, quite different in type, and hard to choose between them at such an early age, both had super temprements and were enjoying their day out.

 Thoroughly enjoying her day out, promising head shape, lively outgoing girl, movement, when she managed a few steps without bouncing looked good, promising baby. 

2. Chatee, Mrs A L & Mr M G. Ellacha Best of my Love.

 Nice head and expression, beautifuly presented, and well schooled for one so young, slightly heavier type and slightly preferred head on first at this stage, but another promising baby.

Minor puppy B. 8.

A very nice puppy class, with many very promising pups.

 Very promising pup, pleasing head and expression, adequate length of neck, good bone and well shaped feet, good angulation front and rear, moved well coming and going, in exelent coat and condition.

 Another very nice young girl, Femine head and expression, good length of neck, well balanced outline with good angulation, moved soundly.

1. Austin & Zolakova Miss S P & Miss K. Hysteps That'll Do.

 I really liked this girl, her half white face did not detract from her well balanced head, and alert expression, good length of neck, shoulders well laid back, firm topline, gently sloping croup strong well angulated rear, moved soundly coming and going in profile her movement showed excellent reach and drive. BPB and delighted to see her take Best puppy in show. 

2. Murfet & Oliver Mrs H & Dr. A J. Tambuzi Guess Who's Back.  

Excelent head and expression, good length of neck, well balanced throughout with correct angulation, moved soundly in all directions, just preferred the reach and drive of winner.

Lovely bitch, well balanced head, alert feminine expression, good length of neck, well balanced throughout, with excellent angulation and gently sloping croup, moved soundly in all directions, in exelent coat and condition.

Broadmeadows Jaz-O-Mine (ATC BB 96739DEU) Another very nice bitch with pleasing head and expression, good length of neck, well angulated, with firm topline. Moved very well in all directions.
