Congratulations to the breeders & exhibitors for working so hard to keep this lovely breed consistent for type & for their work to continually improve movement. They are one of my favourite breeds, and it is lovely to have been able to watch them developing over the past twenty or so years. They are always a great pleasure to judge, and it was a high quality entry.

1: Pike & Carter TSOYU WAKAHIKO GO BREEZELYN Super Red baby, full of cheek & personality. Gorgeous head with correct eye/strong ears/muzzle to skull proportions & bite. Lovely oriental expression. Correct feet. Good tail set & carriage. Coat still coming in but shows correct urajiro markings. Well made body and free moving. Definitely one to watch. Congratulations to his owners & breeder for his Puppy Group 2 in strong company. BP

Good head proportions, attractive expression. Well made boy with correct tail set & carriage, good feet and balanced body. Moves true front & rear, sound & free moving, best mover in class. In excellent coat & condition. BD

2: Duffield MEIHO KENSHA AKIOSHIRO GO Another correctly marked Red boy in excellent coat & condition. Well made boy with classic head, correct well positioned ears, correct eye, good bite. Balanced body & free moving in profile. A quality boy who pushed hard for the class, but I just preferred the rear movement of winner. RBD

Moved true fore & aft, and was sound & free moving. Correct tail set & carriage. Congratulations to her owner/breeder for being shortlisted in the Veteran group. BV

2: Bennett IT IR CH TOMOE TOWA NO MIYAKO SEIJITSU (IMP ITA) I loved the head on this girl, such a lovely expression with correct eye, bite, well positioned neat ears. Lovely body shape & size, well marked Red coat. Correct tail set & carriage. Lovely free profile movement but moves a bit close front & rear. Excellent condition & in well presented coat.

1: Pike & Carter TSOYU YUIZUKI GO BREEZELYN Lovely dark Brindle baby showing correct urajiro markings. Classic head with correct eye, muzzle to skull proportions, neat strong ears & good bite. Lovely shape & size and balanced throughout. Correct tail set & carriage. Lovely profile movement but a little unsettled in rear at present. Very promising puppy in excellent coat & condition.

1: Thomas KAZAN NO VISIS AVEC NOSFERATU (IMP FRA) Well marked Red girl with beautiful head & expression. Correct eye, ears, bite and head proportions. Correct feet, well set & carried tail. Well made & balanced body. Good front & profile movement, although a little close behind at present. In excellent coat & condition. A great deal to like about her. Another one to watch.

1: Buckley, Buckley & Chapman TSOYU P'CHINKO GO MATSUKITA Another well marked Red in excellent coat & condition. Well proportioned head with correct eye & bite, and well positioned strong ears. Lovely expression. Well made body with correct tail set & carriage. Good feet. Moves well in profile, but toes in a little front & rear. Lovely type bitch.

All 4 in this class are quality bitches that could easily change places. Definitely the most challenging class today.

1: Thompson & Chapman TSOYU TAMASHINO GO I love this typically marked dark Brindle girl, so feminine. Absolutely classic head with oriental expression. Correct eye, well positioned neat ears, correct bite. Correct size, with good body proportions & well made. Good feet, well set & carried tail. Well presented in excellent coat & condition. Moves true front & rear, and lovely free profile movement. She is a joy to judge. BB & BOB

2: Bennett SEIJITSU NO BISHOUJO Red with correct urajiro markings. Another lovely bitch, unlucky to meet winner today. Lovely head & expression, with correct eye, good bite and well positioned ears. Well made body of correct size. Well set & carried tail, good feet. Moves free in profile, but toes in a bit front & rear. Still a very nice bitch in very strong company. RBB
