Sunday 16th November 2025 - English Setter Bitches
Judge - Mr Steve Collier (Roszarke)
It was a pleasure to judge at SESS and thank you to all the committee / stewards for organising a very enjoyable and friendly show. It was good to see some promising young bitches coming through. Overall, I was looking for bitches with the correct balance and elegance, but also the substance and conditioning needed in a gundog. In agreement with my co-judge, BOB was the bitch “Dutch Ch. Fishwick Play It Cool” and Best Puppy was the bitch “Bushbane Celtic Envoy”.
Minor Puppy Bitch - 3 entries
1. Rumble’s Bushbane Celtic Envoy – Young 7m O/B puppy making her debut in the show ring today. Balanced lean head with pleasing expression and dark eye. Good substance, with rounded bone, well ribbed, level top line and good angulation. Moved well when settled with good forward reach and positive rear drive. Pleased to award her best puppy bitch. Should have a promising future.
2. Wynne-Evans Droveborough One Love – A young 6m tri puppy still finding her feet in the show ring. Loved her lean head and soft expression. Well-constructed with correct neck and shoulders and good angulation. Moved steady and true with good tail action. Just lacking the maturity of 1 today.
