Breed: Hungarian Puli

Hungarian Puli

JD: (1,1)

PGD: (1) 1st Hudson’s Mournebrake Also An Angel, 2-year-old fawn. Good head properties with slightly domed skull of good size, with a good dark eye and well-rounded muzzle. Good length of neck set correctly with level back, just a touch longer than I’d prefer. Well angulated front and rear which allowed for brisk movement. In good coat with cords developing nicely.

OD: (3) 1st Cowley’s Ch Kashbeluli There We Are Then JW ShCEx OSW, a 3 and half-year-old black dog I judged 2 years ago when he was just out of junior, he is really coming into his own now. Lovely head with a slightly domed skull of good width with shorter well rounded blunted muzzle and well- defined stop. Strong bite and excellent pigmentation, with eye of good size and medium ears set just below the level of the skull. He has a super, square outline with good length of neck, short, level back and short loin. Well laid-back shoulder and excellent return of upper arm, with balanced hind angulation and well bent stifle. On the move, was free and short stepping with plenty of drive. As a fully mature male, his cords are fully developed, and presentation was excellent. Delighted to award him Best Dog and Best of Breed and later to watch his shortlisted in a strong group. Well done.

2nd Thomas’ Chesmes Kutya Magyar Gryff at Mournebrake, 3-year-old black, a smaller boy but in proportion and lots to like. Good head properties with skull and muzzle in balance and lively dark eye, good ear set and good pigmentation. Super outline with neck of good length set correctly and short back and loin giving a square outline. Deep chest with well laid shoulders and good return of upper arm and good hind angulation. Move with typical short, quick steps. Reserve Best Dog.

3rd Hudson’s Mournebrake Archangel.

JB: (3) the first 2 in this class were 14-month-old litter sisters so very similar in style but quite different to the 3rd place who I found to be quite small for her age and not displaying the required square outline for the breed.

1st Rathband & Fealy’s Mournebrake Hidden Agenda with Keynell, black. Good head properties with domed skull and muzzle in proportion. Firm back and short loin giving a square outline and high set tail. Good depth of chest and overall length of leg. Well angulated front a rear but a bit loose on the elbow on the move. Cords starting to form nicely. I believe this class win gave her a Junior Warrant, well done!

2nd Gracie’s Mournebrake Nine Days Queen at Celebros, grey litter sister and very similar comments apply. I preferred her front angulation, but she is a touch longer and her coat needs some attention as it was starting to matt rather than forming cords.

3rd Scrutton’s Tyngeli Make A Wish for Gemeau.

PGB: (1) 1st Gracie’s Mournebrake Pretty Little Angel Eyes at Celebros, 3 and half-year-old black. Nice head properties with slightly domed skull of good size and well-proportioned muzzle, well set ears and nice eye with a good bite and pigmentation. Good outline, with a good neck, level back, short loin and good depth chest. short loin. Lovely on profile going around but a bit untidy coming towards. Coats cording well. Reserve Best Bitch

OB: (3,1) 1st Anderson & Mayne’s Vilmos Viva La Diva, 3-year-old black. Well-proportioned head with good bite and pigmentation. Skull of good width with slight dome, short but rounded muzzle and large nose and good eye. Good outline, with a medium neck and short level back and high set tail. A touch steep in shoulder but has good return of upper arm and well angulated hind. Moved briskly with drive. In full, corded coat in excellent condition. Best Bitch.

2nd. Gracie’s Mournebrake Dear Prudence at Celebros, 2-year-old fawn bitch. Good skull but muzzle a touch longer and poorly pigmented in both her nose, mouth and eye rims. Slightly longer in back than ideal but well angulated front and rear with a level back and good depth of chest.
