JD: (1) 1st Adkin & Pickering’s Un Ami Falcor del Somni Catala to Bouvibear (Imp Deu), 8-month-old black and tan with lots of promise, although I wouldn’t want him any bigger. Good head of good length and shorter muzzle of good width, slight stop and marked furrow. Lovely dark amber eye and high set ears. Good bite and pigmentation. Lovely outline with moderate neck, good topline and length of back and deep chest. Good bone and dark nails with both dewclaws. Well angulated front and rear and low set tail, which I’d have preferred slightly longer. Balanced on the move showing an easy stride. Pleased to award him Reserve Best Dog, Best Puppy in Breed and was thrilled to watch him win Puppy Group 4 later in the day. Well done and good luck with him in the future.

PGD: (1,1)

OD: (1) 1st Fieldsend’s Int/bel/ir Ch Pacco Du Domaine Des Dhalbergs at Starwell (Imp Fra) Cw, 6-year-old fawn dog I have judged before and still like. Lovely, well-proportioned head with super eye and well-set ears of good length. Excellent bite and pigmentation with good underjaw. Super outline with good short neck and level topline. Well angulated front and rear with good return of upper arm and bend of stifle with short rear pasterns and double dew claws. Gently sloping croup with good length of tail. Beautiful to watch on the move with feet barely lifted off the ground. In good, rugged coat of good texture. Pleasure to award him Best Dog and Best of Breed.

JB: (1) 1st Fieldsend’s Bonica Gos D'turul at Starwell, 7-month-old black and tan who was a bit overawed at her first show. Showing lots of promise, with a lovely head which is developing nicely with a lovely eye and good ears. Lovely outline with good angulation front and rear and length of tail. Just a bit unsettled on the move. Reserve Best Bitch.

OB: (3,1) 1st Adkin & Pickering’s Ir/bel/nld/int Ch Starwell Here We Go Again to Bouvibear Cpw22 Ir/nld/bel Jch, 4-year-old fawn, again one I have judged before! Lovely head with a skull slightly longer than wide, with a shorter muzzle, slight stop and good central furrow. Good size eye and ears well set and slightly longer than wide. Lovely outline with short neck, firm back and good depth of chest. Well laid shoulder with good return of upper arm and good hind angulation, with both rear dew claws present. Coat of good texture. Lovely on the move, balanced front and rear keeping her topline well. Best Bitch.

2nd Kitchen’s Sevarna Catalonia’s Angel, a nearly 13-year-old fawn who is in super condition. Lovely head of good proportions with a lovely eye and well-set ears. Good neck and well angulated front and rear but longer than ideal and I’d preferred a touch more length of leg. But she moved so well, hard to believe her age. I understand this was to be her last show, thank you for bringing her and happy retirement.
