SKC – 15th of May 2025 – NOVA SCOTIA DUCK TOLLING RETRIEVER

First of all I would like to thank the Scottish Kennel Club for inviting me to this spectacular show and the club is to be congratulated for the well-organized show and I really enjoyed my day and the lovely atmosphere. I would like to express a big thank you to the exhibitors for entering their dogs under me and for sportingly accepting my decisions. A big thank you to my ringsteward as well, guiding me through the day and everything went so smoothly.

1ST Davies´ Arelechen Galileo Figaro

 WOW, what a stunning puppy! My first dog of the day and really set the standard. Type is paramount for the breed and he really stood for type and balance. He already had the most beautiful wedge shaped headpiece which is asked for with flat cheeks and moderate stop, well set triangular ears and the most alert expression, good length of neck fitting into a well laid back shoulder and level topline, well sprung ribs and deep chested, well angulated throughout, lovely bone and feet, beautiful tailset and carriage which is a hallmark for the breed, he moved out with power and excellent reach and drive. A beautiful double orange coat with excellent feathering, great white markings. He had a confident temperament and was piloted by his handler to perfection. I awarded him the CC and I am looking forward to follow his career, he was also my Best Puppy. He will be very valuable for the breed in the future for sure.

Lovely male with excellent size and proportions, lovely wedge shaped head with alert expression, lovely earset, balanced angulations, very good body with well sprung ribs, excellent tailset and carriage, lovely bone and feet, moves with enough reach and drive, lovely orange double coat with great white markings, lovely temperament.

2ND Gibson´s Delphox Guiser

 Somewhat longer shaped male, long head with good wedgeshape, good earset, prefer a bit more almond shaped eyes, correct set of neck and good topline, very good body and substance, good bone and feet, move well with good reach and drive, lovely orange double coat with maximum amount of white markings, could have a better tailcarriage on the move.

 Excellent sized male of lovely type, lovely proportions, lovely wedge shaped head, moderate stop, well set ears, good set of neck and well angulated fore and aft, well sprung ribs and deep chested, lovely bone and feet, good orange double coat, but a bit open in coat on the day, moved with enough reach and drive, excellent tailcarriage, very typey example of the breed. He was my final RCC winner

2ND Strevens´ Tollisty You Can't Decline

 Smaller sized male that could be a bit more masculine allover, lovely wedge shaped head with alert expression, moderate stop, lovely earset, enough length of leg, very well angulated front and strong backend, well bodied with strong loin, excellent tailset and carriage, beautiful orange double coat with correct white markings, bright and alert temperament.

 Longer shaped male, long wedge shaped head with flat cheeks, good stop, correct earset, good neck, strong enough in topline, lovely tailset with correct carriage on the move, deep in body with well sprung ribs, a touch long in loin, lovely bone and feet, fantastic orange double coat with lovely white markings.

 Very nice typey bitch puppy, lovely head with alert expression, well shaped head with correct earset, good set of neck, excellent angulations fore and aft, well bodied for her age, good bone and feet, beautiful double orange coat with correct markings, would like to see more tailaction on the move and needs to be firmer in body

Confident temperament.

1ST Pashley´s Wakaduze Wah Pen Dah Ska

 What a stunning typey bitch, 8 years of age, she really stood out for type, breedfeatures and everything that is important for the breed. Amazing clean cut wedge shaped head, intelligent and alert expression, beautiful almond shaped eyes, correct triangular ears which were well set on, lovely neck of neck, excellent laidback shoulder, lovely upperarm, well muscled strong hindquarters, deep chested body with close fitting elbows, lovely bone and feet, well feathered tail with correct carriage. On the move she really stood out with her correct headcarriage almost level with her back and carried her tail according to the standard, fantastic reach in front and powerful rear drive. Her coat was in immaculate condition with correct double texture, beautiful orange colour and lovely white markings. Her handler showed her to perfection and they were so well co-ordinated together. Lovely confident and intelligent temperament. In the line up she just stood out for excellent breedtype and I landed her the CC and BOB and later also Best Veteran. The owner told me it was her 3rd CC and she was crowned on the day, to be honest a bit of a surprise for me since in my opinion she should have been crowned much earlier in her career as she is featuring a beautiful example of the breed.

 Lovely bitch wih excellent size and proportions, beautiful wedge shaped head and expression, correct earset, lovely neck and topline, balanced angulations, well bodied and good spring of ribs, strong loin, lovely bone and feet, moved with enough reach and drive, lovely orange double coat with correct white markings, excellent tailcarriage.

 10 years old high quality bitch from the top drawer, beautiful type, lovely wedge shaped head with flat cheeks, moderate stop and intellingent almond shaped eyes, correct triangular ears that were well set on, excellent neck and strong topline, textbook angulations, deep chested with excellent ribs and maximum substance, strong loin, lovely bone and feet, she moved like a youngster, groundcovering with great tailcarriage and lovely headcarriage too, on the day a touch open in coat, beautiful white breedtypical markings, I landed her the RCC
