MANCHESTER CH SHOW

SIBERIAN HUSKY

I would like to thank the Manchester committee for inviting me to judge Siberian Huskies, it was with somewhat of mixed emotions that I took the appointment since it was due to be Mark Cocozza’s first appointment judging the breed, that said I was delighted with my overall entry of 124 and the overall attendance resulted in very few absentees. If I may make one or two comments I was pleased to report back to the Kennel Club that I had no thin nor obese Siberians exhibited, the temperaments were excellent throughout and the dentition met the breed standard. Of slightly more concern to me, if I was breeding, was the general untidiness of the front movement, particularly on the out and back and I would suggest that attention needs to be placed, in particular, on shoulder angulation going forward.

MPD 9(2)

1. Hughes’ Siberiadrift Caesar Is Home. I preferred the overall balance and shoulder of 1 when viewed in profile however good head and expression, excellent proportions, lacking in coat on the day but moved to advantage, RDCC.

2. Simms’ Seaqualina Echo Of Light. Nice male shown in good coat and good condition, strong top-line, correct bone, nice feet, moderate shoulder, good turn of stifle.

3. Cruttenden’s Nativespirit’s Dopinder.
