Promising 6 month old puppy with a shapely head, good expression but would prefer darker pigmented eyes, long neck into clean well placed shoulders, well boned limbs for his age, shapely body, moved OK

Very eye catching well grown black dog, beautifully shaped head with lots of work already showing, beautiful expression from dark eyes, good length of neck leading into well placed shoulders and a good return of upperarm, fabulous boned legs and the best of feet truly facing forward, shapely body with a lovely topline, very well angulated behind, moved so soundly I really thought he was a very special young dog and fully deserved his BP & RCC and his Puppy Group placing.

2nd: 10228 POCOCK, Mrs L & Miss T & PAVLOU, Mrs S & Mr P Bubba Von Pao Eberjager With Tamzdane (imp Fca)

Another lovely puppy who presented a lovely outline, shapely head, I would prefer his eyes to be darker, good length of neck into well placed shoulders, decent boned limbs, shapely body, well angulated behind, moved well

This class gave me a lot to think about as the two litter brothers are different and were handled very differently but the winner just pleased me better on the day.

1st: 10232 TEMPEST, Mrs S Adoreadane Blazing Saddles (a.i.)

Initially this dog is easy to overlook as he isn’t as well trained as his brother but when something took the dogs attention and he stood naturally you could see how beautiful he was. Such a lovely head with plenty of work in it which is unusual to get with a harlequin, lovely expression, neat ears, long neck leading into well placed shoulders and good length of upperarm, super boned limbs leading right down his pasterns into good feet, good body shape and topline, well made behind resulting in him moving soundly and with drive and keeping his topline. Please continue to show him and gain the experience together as he is such a quality dog and he mustn’t be overlooked due to his lack of show handling experience.

2nd: 10236 TEMPEST, Mrs S Adoreadane Yellowstone (a.i.)

Stronger headed dog, lovely expression, neat ears, good length of neck with an unfortunate body patch which you have to look past to find his well placed shoulders and good length of upperarm, well boned legs and feet, super finish to his body, well angulated behind, moved well

Another lovely headed dog with dark eyes, long neck, clean shoulders, decent boned legs and tight feet, quite long in body and loins and the back ribs could be deeper giving a more natural underline, moderately angulated behind, moved OK

3rd: 10207 HENSHALL, Miss Paula Calchas Bryan The Brave – I have liked this dog before but he is very difficult to assess on the maove due to him being unsettled

Two outgoing males – different in types but still very much “Great Danes”

My star of the day showing all the “dash & dare” you want to see in a Dane, a quality and balanced head with a good expression full of character, strong neck of good length, despite his patch he has a good layback of shoulder and a good length of upperarm, lovely strong boned limbs and tight feet, well sprung ribs, reaching well back to short loins, very good angulation behind, and short hock to ground. On the move he pleased me so much from the drive behind, the power of his stride and he held his topline correctly. Delighted to award him the CC/BOB and his Champion title - congratulations

2nd: 10225 POCOCK, Mrs L & Miss T UK Swiss Lux Ch Int Ch Tamzdane Empower Mint JW

More elegant than the winner, lovely shaped head and the darkest of eyes giving such a kind expression, good length of neck with a well placed shoulder and good length of upperarm enhanced beautifully by the outline of his body colour, good boned legs and tight feet, good spring of ribs reaching well back, longer in loins than the winner, very well angulation behind, super sound on the move with lots of dash & dare, slightly over reaching in side profile.

Sad to see that she wasn’t completely sound on the move but what a beautiful outline, head with quality and good expression, lovely neck leading into well placed shoulders and upperarm, well boned legs, correct topline, well ribbed and very good angulation behind. Enjoy your retirement

Eye-catching puppy presenting a lovely outline, everything in the right place just needing her to keep growing and come together

The first two were quite different in outlines but both lovely quality

Such a lovely outline, beautiful head, with dark expressive eyes, lengthy neck leading into clean well placed shoulders, good length to her upper arms, best of legs and tight feet, well sprung ribs reaching well back to strong loins, lovely topline and croup, very good hindquarters, so sound on the move really covering the ground with ease, I preferred her forehand and overall outline than the 2nd, just wish she was a little more confident in the ring. Delighted to award her the RCC

Presents an elegant outline on the stack and very well handled, another lovely head and super expression, long neck into clean shoulders, good boned legs and tight feet, well sprung ribs, would have preferred her loins to be shorter, plenty of angulation behind, moved well

Looking immature next to the winner, she has a very pretty shaped head, good length of neck into clean shoulders, good boned limbs and tight feet, well sprung ribs, very good angulation behind, moved well, just needs more confidence.

Strong headed bitch with a lovely expression but she kept rolling her ears back which did spoil her head, decent length of neck, substantial forehand, good boned legs, deep brisket, good topline and croup, plenty of angulation behind, moved well

2nd: 10217 MCLELLAN, Mrs A Kinnegans Daydream Believer At Anadain (ai) (ikc)

I did prefer this bitch but disappointedly she wasn’t wanting to make any effort in the ring, lovely shape to her head and a lovely expression, well boned legs and good feet, decent length of neck and a cleaner forehand than the winner, well ribbed body, strong loins and good topline, well angulated behind but didn’t really put much effort into showing – great shame.

This lovely bitch so nearly threw it away with being so laid back, such a pretty headed bitch with a lovely expression, loved her outline when she pulled herself together, lengthy neck leading into clean shoulders, well boned legs and tight feet, super well ribbed body with good length of back ribs, strong loins, very good topline and croup, super angulation behind, very sound on the move – delighted to award her the CC and to find that it was her 3rd CC – congratulations.

2nd: 10203 FERGUSON, Miss Hazel Ir Ch Renescent Too Hot To Handle For Chateaudain

This bitch did everything to win, she showed, she moved but I really preferred the winner’s overall head and outline, lovely expression, really good legs and feet, lengthy neck, well ribbed body, very good angulation behind, super sound on the move.
