Thank you for the invitation to judge at this well organised show. I had a super quality entry and was spoilt for choice.

Field Trial

1st Heards Dunroon Brandy. A delight to judge both of these dogs that were certainly fit for function. Proportionally smaller frames as you would expect from working lines but both still possessed strength and balance. Movement was somewhat erratic but they were certainly enjoying their day out. I felt that 1 was slightly more typical in head with a darker eye.

2nd Heards Dunroon Gingerboy

Brace

1st Bougen. The most beautifully matched pair of typical Irish. Mother & daughter who were certainly peas in a pod. Super type, balance and they almost matched each other stride for stride.

2nd Stevenson. Another well matched pair, similar in outline. Moved out well.

3rd Davison

1st Harris Fairhaven Young Soul For Konakakela (Imp Swe) JW. A quality male who is very mature for his age. He presents a super outline, masculine but no hint of coarseness. Balanced head with dark eye and typical expression. Muscular neck that flows into a gently sloping topline. Scores in forechest and depth throughout. Has width across the loin with a well bent stifle. Luxurious coat of super quality and colour. Moved out well with a purposeful stride.

2nd Roberts Polmennor Pandora. Another quality youngster. 13 month old bitch, so feminine throughout. Typical long, lean head, low set ear. Well proportioned body with elbows well let down. Good quality bone. Ribs well sprung and carried well back. Liked her sloping topline which leads to well set tail. Long from hip to hock. Neat feet. Positive mover. Just giving away a lot in maturity and unlucky to come up against 1.

1st Sturrocks Forfarian Fancy Me JW. 2 year old bitch of beautiful make and shape. Quality head and expression with eye of correct shape and colour. Reachy neck into well placed shoulders. Firm topline which she held well on the move. Super quality bone. Well angulated font and rear. Really positive on the move showing an excellent stride coming and going.

2nd Milligan-Bott Thendara Truly. Another super quality bitch from this kennel. Really clean in outline and so feminine. Beautiful dark, expressive eye. Lengthy well muscled neck, elbows close to body. Pronounced forechest, has great depth throughout with good spring of rib. Well bent stifle with good width to second thigh. Moved straight and true.

1st Mugfords Lynwood Rather Scrumptious JW A quality 3 year old bitch who has a classic, racy outline with tons of style. Most beautiful feminine head and expression. Well laid shoulder, excellent spring of rib. Strength across the loin with correct, well set tail. Super turn of stifle. Moved out well with positive footfall.

2nd Crocker & Lewis Sh Ch Riverbrue Wonderwall At Hernwood A very worthy show Champion who has great presence. Upstanding male with typical head. He has bone and substance throughout. Well angulated front and rear. Powerful, free mover who has drive and super length of stride and really covers the ground well.
