Thank you to the officers and committee for inviting me to judge at this lovely show and to my very efficient stewards. I had some super quality exhibits to judge which made for some tough decisions, especially at the end of the day in the challenge. It certainly turned out to be a good day for the oranges.

Dogs:

Any Colour Baby Puppy:

Two lovely babies in this class, both at different stages of development. Both should have a bright future.

1) Mitchell’s Glowhill Hot Toddie, lovely type, well balanced head, enough forechest, compact body, held a level topline stood and on the move, sound, happy mover.

2) Laurellakes Son of a Gun, another quality baby with a gorgeous head and melting expression, plenty of forechest, well bodied and great bone and substance, topline just needing to settle but has plenty of time on his side for this, another sound happy baby enjoying his day out.

Solid Special Puppy:

1) Ward’s Whinburn Walk The Moon to Wensum, very nice 11 month black with a quality head and soft expression, strong neck into well placed shoulders, enough forechest, good bone and well bodied, sound steady mover holding a firm topline.

Solid Special Junior:

1) Beckwith’s Balaambeck Oricorio Opal, black dog with attractive head and expression, moderate neck, good depth of rib, enough bone, moved ok.

Solid Special undergrad:

Solid Special Open:

1) Ellison’s Spinoza of Merrily Avec Withiflor (IMP FRA), B/T I have judged previously as a puppy, he has now matured into a quality dog, he has a well balanced head with lovely expression, good clean tan markings, reachy neck into well placed shoulders, good length to upper arm, well boned legs which lead to tight feet, good width of quarters, holds a firm topline, sound happy mover.

2) Brookes’ Gino Della Sciaranera of Bruxly (IMP ITA), another good dog of lovely type, well balanced head with soft expression, good reach of neck into well placed shoulders, good bone and substance, well developed forechest, sound and happy on the move.

3) Bindza’s Aisza Figaro for Laurellakes.

AOC Special Puppy:

1) Covington’s Delightful Hunter Legendary at Silverdust (IMP HUN), very attractive blue of lovely type, appealing head and expression, moderate neck into neat shoulders, well developed forechest, good rib for age, well boned legs and tight feet, just needs to firm up in topline on the move but has time for this, sound and happy on the move.

2) McShane’s Delightful Hunter London Eye at Meggiemac, litter brother to 1 and hence why they are very similar in type, nice head and expression but just slightly preferred that of his brother, good forechest, well bodied, sound happy mover.

3) Sewell and Hunt’s Lynwater Mad Hatter at Quattrozampe.

AOC Special Junior:

1) Terry’s Shaggyland’s Midnight Train, stronger head than I personally prefer but his head is well balanced and he has an appealing expression, he has a good reach of neck into well placed shoulders, well ribbed body, well off for bone, muscular well rounded quarters, he holds a firm topline at all times, sound and happy on the move.

2) Gray’s Purdeyspride Rave On, good head with gentle expression, square compact body, good bone and feet, firm topline, sound mover but would like more width in hind movement.

3) Fawcett’s Wissant About Flippin time.

AOC Special undergraduate:

1) Anslow’s Shansart Harry Potter, quality boy of very nice type, lovely head and expression, strong neck, good length of upper arm, enough forechest, well off for bone, tight feet, well ribbed body, rounded quarters, sound mover.

2) Clarke’s Harbethol Look Magical Tyme, masculine head, moderate neck into well placed shoulders, good forechest, well bodied, good width to quarters, firm topline, merry mover.

3) Burnett’s Mablehope Rule The World.

AOC Open:

Fantastic class, where I could have happily given any of them first place, I had to really nitpick to separate them.

1) Torbett’s SH CH Kirlinjis Taylor Made, I’m a big fan of the type this breeder consistently produces, quality b/r, well balanced head with soft expression, reachy neck, well developed forechest, strong compact body, well boned, good width to quarters, firm topline, sound happy mover.

2) Bond’s Olibond Not a Bother, very good head and expression, reachy neck into neat shoulders, well off for bone, big ribs, well angulated fore and aft, sound mover.

3) Hackett’s Lindridge Harbour Lights.

Veteran:

1) Pearce-Gudger’s SH CH Cachel Prince Charming, no secret of how much I like this lovely O/R as I gave him the CC a few years back and he still looks great as a veteran. 9 years young, gorgeous head and expression, moderate neck into well placed shoulders, he is so well balanced with no exaggeration, well bodied, quality bone, firm topline, sound, free happy mover. BVIS.

2) Scott’s Kalispell Beaspoke, another super veteran in great condition, 12 years old but he definitely doesn’t act it, lovely type, very appealing expression, big ribs, merry mover with drive.

Minor Puppy:

1) Birkenshaw’s Gilcar After Midnight, gorgeous head and expression, lovely overall type, moderate neck, well developed forechest, compact body, lovely bone and substance, tight feet, , firm topline, sound and happy on the move,

2) Winder’s Oakrosa Calvin’s Obsession avec Kevuliawin, good overall type, appealing expression, good forechest, firm topline, sound and happy on the move,

3) Wildman’s Oktumi Big Player

Puppy:

1) Cox’s Ryallcourt Charm of Unique to Suvern (AI), mature, well balanced black and white with good head proportions, appealing expression with tight dark eye, well developed forechest, compact body, topline just needs to level out a little more but he has time for this, sound and merry on the move covering ground well. BPD.

2) Kengyelic’s Zheridon’s Tradeoff with Hebdene, this is a lovely dog to go over, gorgeous head and expression, well developed forechest, neck flows neatly into well placed shoulders, good length of upper arm, well ribbed, quality bone and well rounded quarters, sound mover just not the confidence of 1 or it could have been a different story.

3) Covington’s D. Hunter Legendary at Silverdust

Junior:

1) Terry’s S. Midnight Train

2) Gray’s P. Rave On.

3) Fawcett’s Wissant About Flippin Time.

Yearling:

1) Buck’s Clavaire Marrakech Sky, lovely well balanced head and expression on this orange boy, enough forechest, compact body, good width to quarters, enough bone, tight feet, holds a firm topline stood and on the move, sound, happy dog who gives his owner everything on the move, RCC today as not quite the maturity yet of my CC winner but his title can’t be far away on this form.

2) Glendinning’s Plaiglen Mojito, another good orange with lovely head and soft expression, reachy neck into good shoulder placement, well ribbed, good quarters, a merry mover with drive.

Novice:

1) Terry’s S. Midnight Train

2) 2)Gray’s P. Rave On.

3) Turner’s Lochranza Celtic Spring at Dartemis

Graduate:

1) Pearce-Gudger’s Pearkim Pietro, lovely head and expression with tight dark eyes, moderate reach of neck, good spring of rib, quality bone, tight feet, firm topline, sound mover, lovely overall type but looks like he gives his owner a hard time when handling and so doesn’t make the most of himself.

Post Graduate:

1) Shapland’s Deracor Duty Paid, a lovely head and endearing expression on this boy, lovely type, good forechest, moderate neck into well placed shoulders, good bone and substance, keeps a firm topline, sound happy mover.

2) Young’s Canyonn Black Caviar JW, quality boy of lovely type, would prefer slightly stronger head but his head is balanced and has a lovely expression, enough forechest, compact, good legs and feet, good width to quarters, a sound happy boy who is a real showman.

3) Share-Jones Sharemead Golden Spark.

Special Beginners:

1) Oktumi Star Chaser, very nice type, good head and expression, well ribbed, good bone, tight feet, sound mover holding a firm topline.

2) Fawcett’s Wissant About Flippin Time, Balanced head with sweet expression, well bodied and good bone, merry on the move.

3) Marshall’s Wissant Moon and Stars.

Mid Limit:

1) Williams’ Wilmerella Highlander, masculine well balanced head with tight dark expressive eyes, reachy neck into well placed shoulders, enough forechest, lovely bone and substance, firm topline, well muscled quarters, sound merry mover.

2) Ellison’s Withiflor Touchstone, lovely head and expression, good reach of neck into neat shoulders, well ribbed body, firm topline, sound happy mover, 1 just a bit more positive in front movement today.

3) Palmer’s Shansart Sky Dancer

Limit:

1) Platt’s Allert’s Fine Dining at Charbonnel, this boy really has the wow factor to go over, he has the most gorgeous head and expression, everything flows seamlessly, strong neck into well placed shoulders, good length of upper arm, lovely bone, tight feet, well developed forechest, strong body, well muscled quarters which he uses to drive and cover ground well, firm topline, happy mover, just wish he’d cooperated better with his owner on the move in the challenge. Loved him.

2) Redstone’s Tosiparose Super Ted, nice head and expression, moderate reach of neck, enough forechest, compact body, good bone, firm topline, moved ok.

3) Burnett’s Mabelhope Rule the World,

Open:

Fabulous class for depth of quality.

1) Hackett’s SH.CH. Lindridge Front Runner, gorgeous head and expression, lovely type as always from this kennel, correct reach of neck, fine shoulders, enough forechest, mature well ribbed body, quality bone, big rounded quarters, sound merry and clearly loves his time in the ring, never stops showing. CC and RBIS, later discovered this win gave him the breed record for Oranges, congratulations.

2) Birkenshaw’s SH CH Gilcar Midnight Dream, lovely dog I have admired from the ringside on many occasions, another with a gorgeous head and expression, strong neck, neat shoulders, well developed forechest, well ribbed, well off for bone, strong quarters, positive merry mover.

3) Cassidy’s SH CH Manchela Speechless at Cassoz.
