Thank you to the Society for the appointment. It is hard running a double championship show. It takes a huge amount of organising and co-operation from all concerned. I would like to thank my stewards for keeping the ring going with there endeavours and to the exhibitors who took their placings with sportsmanship. I was very pleased with the presentation and cleanliness of the exhibits.

SWEDISH VALLHUND

Junior Dog (1,0), 1 Horsley, Mrs. A., Ruanticx Donkey Kong: A 15mth old dog. He did not want me to go over him. In fact, he would have preferred to eat me. Now he should be friendly, active and eager to please. Unfortunately, he was not, get him sorted or you are just wasting your time, or at worst he could end up biting some-one which will look very bad on you and the breed.

Open Dog (1,0), 1 Drinkwater, Mr. A. & Mrs. S., Ch. Danga’s Norton Junkerson in Galerita, (Imp. Swe.): A 3yr old greyish brown dog with a good temperament. He is a tail-less dog of a neat type with a good out-line, clean cut head with correct bite, good eyes, good length of neck, neat front, good strength to rear. He was shown in a good harsh coat. Moved out well around the ring. Worthy of his title and I was pleased to award him the DCC.

Puppy Bitch (1,0), 1 Stuart, Mrs., Tanellis Dare to Dream: A well grown 7mth old grey bitch that has an attractive mask to her clean-cut head, good length of neck, neat front, strong back. I liked her tail set and well-muscled rear. Making a very neat type and to top that off she moved well owning the ring as she went. Pleased to award her BP and the RCC.

Limit Bitch (1,0), 1 Pallatina, Miss., Valltineya Lasso UR Dreams, JW: A 21mth old grey girl that is very sturdy and very feminine. She is also so easy on the eye and so very well balanced. Moved out soundly and so sound to go over. She starts off with a good bite, clean cut head and good eyes. Long neck, good lay-back of shoulder, neat angles to the front, good straight back and neat tail. She also has lovely angles to the rear. Finished off with a good hard coat. Pleased to award her the BCC and BOB. I was absolutely delighted to see her win the Pastoral Group under judge Frank Kane. Many congratulations.

Open Bitch (1,0), 1 Hislop, Mr. D. & Mrs. E., Ch. Tanellis Colina: A 5yr old very nice type of bitch, grey slightly brownish colouring. Very nice mature girl that is well balanced and a worthy champion. She was just a little sluggish on the move for me. She has a neat head, good eye and teeth. Good length of neck, neat front and rear and good tail set.

Special Beginners Bitch (1,0), 1 Bowen-Parker, Dr. J., Valltineya’s Wandering Star among Parkbow: A 21mth old bitch, nice colour grey with a harsh coat. She lacks maturity at the moment. Just needs to fill out more. Could do with more angulation in the rear which unfortunately reflected in her movement. But still was Best Special Beginner.
