Championship Show Special Award Classes

Sunday 23rd November 2025

Thank you to the committee for the invitation to judge the special awards Classes at your championship Show. It was a very warm welcome with some lovely dogs to go over.

Puppy Dog/Bitch (3,0)

A class of promising youngsters.

1 - MAULT & COAD Mrs L and Mr M - LIMARTINE STAND AND STARE.

A well put together male who headed this class on the overall balance on the move. A lovely masculine headpiece with good proportions. Good width to skull with it being slightly rounded. Lovely dark, round eyes of good size placed well with super pigment. Ears set well and frame the face well. Super length to neck which leads into a well constructed forequarters with straight parallel limbs and stood on good feet. Topline firm with a muscular loin and a chest that is developing well. Tail is set correct but could carry it a little better on the move. Rear construction on this boy is super, he has a good turn of stifle, broad muscular thighs and well let down hocks. On the move he demonstrates a great drive in rear. Just needs to tighten up a little in front as he develops. But I’m sure the crown is waiting for this boy.

2- BEATER Mr. M - YNGLES JAGO VAN DE DYKSTEINHOEVE OF STARFORTH. There is so much to like about this young man. Lovely shape and size on first initial look with good angles in forequarters and rear. A masculine headpiece with good proportions, just a little heavier in head than 1. Eyes are set well in head and of good shape and colour with good pigment. Well laid shoulder and a parallel straight front with a good return of upper arm. Lovely arched neck leading into a level Topline with a muscular loin. Good tail set with plenty of plume for age. Muscled well in rear. On the move had a lovely reach in front, just didn’t have the rear drive as one.

Post Graduate Dog/Bitch (7,5)

1- CARR Mrs D - PETIT AMI COUNTIN ON A MIRACLE. A feminine bitch who really scores in head. Feminine throughout with good muzzle to skull ratio. Slightly rounded skull. Ears are of good size and shape set well on skull framing the face well. Dark round eyes set well in skull and super pigment. Good width and depth to muzzle. Lovely arched neck leading into well laid shoulders and a clean straight front stood on good feet. Chest still developing but well ribbed. Firm Topline and muscular loin met by a well set tail. Broad muscular thighs and well let down hocks. Moved well in all directions staying parallel with reach and drive all whilst covering the ground.

2- REID Mrs F - WOLIMORB COSMIC STAR OVER DIXIDO. This dog is of good size. Lovely masculine headpiece with good proportions. Good width to slightly rounded skull. Ears are set well and well covered. Eyes are lovely and dark and round in shape with good pigment. Good length to neck into well laid shoulders and return of upper arm. Would like elbows slightly closer to chest. Level top line with a well set tail carried and covered well. Well rounded thighs muscled well. Angles good in rear. On the move has a good reach in front, can just get a fraction close in rear.

Open Dog/Bitch (5,1)

A lovely class of Champions. I see the first 2 have both got the same sire.

1 - BROMILOW Ms. J - Ch WOLIMORB TOP GUN JW. A handsome 2 year old male of super size and shape. A masculine headpiece without being coarse in any way. Good width and depth throughout the skull and muzzle with excellent pigmentation. Dark round eyes that give such a lovely expression. Ears are set well and are of good length framing the face well. Lovely arched neck leading into a super front assembly with well laid shoulders, elbows close to a well developed chest and straight front with good bone. Level topline which was held on the stand and move. Good tail set which is set and carried well. This boys rear is his fortune, a broad well rounded thigh, good turn of stifle and well let down hocks. On the move he has great rear drive and a front action to match all whilst maintaining balance and covering the ground well.

2- ANDERSON, Mrs. HM - Ch BROKENGATE MAM'SELLE. What a tough time this bitch gave her handler. I judged this girl back in July and she has come on such a long way so credit to the handler for persevering with her. This bitch may not appeal to some due to her size, but when you get your hands under the coat she has so many great virtues. Yes this bitch is up to size but she is balanced throughout. Feminine headpiece without being coarse and everything where it should be. Lovely muzzle to skull ratio with skull being slightly rounded. Ears are set well and are of good length and covered well. Her eyes lure you in for a second look as they have both a mischievous and soft expression. Lovely neck into well constructed forequarters with ample bone. Super strong Topline with a muscular loin and a well placed tail. Rounded, muscular thigh with enough turn of stifle and well let down hocks. On the move, when she settles into her frame she has such a lovely drive in rear and reach in front all whilst staying parallel.
