Thank you to Bath Canine Society for inviting me to judge and award my first set of CCs. Thank you to my steward, Richard, who helped keep the ring running smoothly. And a huge thank you to all of the exhibitors who entered, showed their dogs and took my decisions sportingly.
Overall I was really pleased with my entry and quality of dogs shown. All dogs were of good type, were presented well and had excellent temperaments.

Almond shaped eye but would prefer them a touch darker. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders and upper arm. Good proportions with straight topline and compact loin. Nice bend of stifle and short rear pasterns. Correct tail set and carriage. Moved cleanly and soundly in all directions. Pleased to award him Best Puppy in Breed.

Handsome, masculine head with flat skull and kind, dark, almond eyes and a gentle expression. Correct body proportions, and good angulation fore and aft. Good spring of rib and depth of chest. He appears bum high on the stack, but upon examination he has a level topline. Nice bend of stifle and short, well let down hocks. Nice front and profile movement but a little close behind today. In fantastic condition, and handled and presented beautifully.
2nd Place 5528 - Fortonpark More Class for Bernershaw (Mrs J A Tomkins)

Strong, masculine headpiece, flat skull, with gorgeous dark eye, but slightly loose flews. Good length of neck flowing into strong front quarters. Nice sloping shoulders with well laid upper arm and straight forelegs. Good width and depth to chest, strong loin and well angled rear. Lovely bend of stifle and strong, straight rear pasterns. A masculine head with flat skull, and dark eye but would like tighter rims. Good length of neck leading to strong, well-built front quarters. Good depth and width to chest, strong compact loin and well angled rear. Strong topline kept on the stand and on the move. Correct tail set and carriage. The boy excels on the move and has clean movement in all directions with lovely reach and drive. Classic markings but sadly his coat was coarse and not in it’s best condition today. 2nd Place 5530 - Fortonpark Sweet Dreams at Oakbern (Mrs E Worrall)
• Another quality bitch in this class. A 4 year old bitch who was more mature than 1st but lost out as I felt she had slightly stretched proportions and is longer in loin. She is of excellent breed type and has lovely bone. She has a strong yet feminine head, flat, broad skull, dark, almond eye and classic markings. Good length of neck leading to a well angulated front. Straight front legs and tight feet. Good chest proportions, level topline and well angulated rear. Nice bend of stifle and strong hocks. Good spring of rib, compact loin and strong level topline which she maintained on the stand and on the move. Well rounded croup and correct tail set and carriage. Well angled rear with nice bend of stifle and short, straight rear pasterns. Easily had the best movement in this class today; sound, clean movement in all directions with reach and drive. Not in her best coat today but handled and presented well.

Straight, well boned front legs and tight feet. Good depth of chest and spring of rib. Compact loin, well rounded croup and correct tail set and carriage. Well angulated rear with lovely bend of stifle and short, strong hocks. Sadly she couldn’t retain her topline today which was soft over her withers and rising over her rump.
