HUNGARIAN VIZSLA

I would like to thank the committee for the invitation to judge Hungarian Vizsla . I was delighted with the size of the entry and would like to thank all who entered under me. The committee ran a very efficient show and the whole atmosphere was great and my stewards did a fantastic job. So thanks to everyone involved. I was a little surprised at the size of some of the younger exhibits , many are too tall and tending towards over angulation, which leads to incorrect movement, though I was pleased with all my placed dogs. The older classes were full of quality and type and I would have liked more award cards! I recommend anyone judging our breed reads the Hungarian standard which is a lot more detailed and less open to interpretation than the current RKC version. I was delighted to see my main winners excel in the stake groups ,Special Beginners and Puppy, and my BOB won the group at the end of the day.

1. Hanalei Suns Out Guns Out for Alaszdale [ Ms H senior, Mr D Brett Williams, Mrs M Porfida De Lucia]

A promising puppy ,quite mature for his age ,well balanced with good bone and tight feet ,correct hindquarters, a lovely head and expression, correct angulation, which allowed him to move well to win the class.

2. Vizslanya Sarkany [Mr S & Mrs K Challis]

Delightfull puppy ,not as mature as one, coat a tad dark for my preference but everything in order . moderate correct angulation all through, with good bone and tight feet ,he just needs to mature on ,he moved well and held topline.

Loved this boy as soon as he came into the ring. Correct size with nothing exaggerated ,correct angulation all through, I loved his head and expression typical of the breed. Good bone and tight feet ,shown in top condition he held his top line on the move and he moved round the ring with drive and purpose .BPD, BPIB

         2. Misoro Prodigal Son. [Mrs A J Williams]

Rangier type than 1 but still well balanced . Pleasing head with nice dark eye, correct angulation all through , he held his topline on the move , just not the movement and type of 1. Still a promising pup, should do well.

1. Vizslanya Domenkos [Mr S & Mrs K Challis]

Striking dog of a really nice type and correct size. Beautiful head, correct all through with nothing overdone ,correct bone with tight feet, held his top line and moved very well round the ring. Shown in excellent condition

2. Perlanside Street Party [Mrs J Wall]

Another correct size and type, moderate throughout with classic head and expression .Good bone, tight feet, shown in excellent muscled condition, he moved very well around the ring striding out.

Elegant but clearly masculine with well laid shoulders, correct hindquarters ,good bone and tight feet. Liked his head and expression , he moved very well round the ring and held his top line .

2. True Magic of Skyrocket at Szelkiraly JW [Imp Hung] Miss C Murray & Mr W Parker]

Heavier build than 1, but still elegant and full of type. Lovely head and expression ,correct angulation all through. Good bone and tight feet he moved very well in a strong class

1.Sh Ch Kincsem Break Every Rule JW [Ms T Watkins Mrs S Kain]

I haven't seen this dog since he was a puppy but boy has he fulfilled the promise. Full of breed type, not overdone, masculine with a noble head and elegant neck. Correct all through, shown in hard condition he moved with reach and drive. Well deserved top award against some very strong competition. Unlucky to come across such a strong bitch in the challenge.. DCC

2.Sh Ch Rarog Ruda Szata for Piros JW [Imp Pol] [ Mrs E Roe]

Another classic male ,masculine but elegant, with correct angulation all through, good bone and feet. He has a beautiful head. Moved very well . he was so close to 1 it could change next time out. RDCC

9 1/2 year old lovely compact dog in excellent condition. He has a super head and expression and is so balanced and correct all through. He moved very well to take the class BVD, BV

7 year old larger type all through but good proportions , good head, correct angulation , balanced throughout, he moved well and held top line .

Special Beginners Dog 2.[0]

1.Wallaroo Beyond the Horizon at Redhunt [ Mr P & Mrs S McBeath]

Masculine but not overdone, typical head and outline. Well balanced throughout .with good bone and feet , correct angulation , he moved well in sync with his handler.

2.Vizah Hunor [Mrs C Sharrocks]

Rangier type, and a tad long overall but presented a balanced outline. A pleasing head. into an elegant neck. Moderate bone and correct feet. He was rather exuberant on the move but settled enough to see he moved ok.

Minor Puppy Bitch 9 [3]

1. Vizslanya Vorsprung [ Mr P& Mrs J Hill]

Lovely compact feminine baby with the sweetest head and expression . Correct all through, held top line well . Moderate bone with good feet, she moved very well and should have a good future BPB

2. Oakswarren Believe in Magic [Mrs K & Mr A Scott -Legg]

On the stack I thought she was my winner ,a delightful baby with everything in the right place, she's correct all through, oozes quality and I preferred her head to 1, however she was playing her handler up and not giving her best, but moved well, if exuberantly, and will go far once she settles. One to watch.

3. Glenbrows Scarlet. [Miss V Parker, Mr T & Mrs H Harrison]

1. Solencia Misty Morning [Mr M & Mr B Racket]

Stood alone but well deserved her first place. Feminine with a sweet head and expression, slightly longer throughout than I prefer for type , but balanced throughout . Good bone and tight feet ,a bit loose on the move but with maturity I’m sure that will change, a promising puppy.

Junior Bitch 5[0]

1. Oroshaza Blanka [ Mrs D Clubb & Mrs C Mason]

Super type, feminine but well constructed, Correct all through balanced with nothing overdone. Moderate angulation, Beautiful head into an elegant neck, she moved well once she settled.

2. Aranyvadasz Uccu for Kinharrachie [ Imp Hung.] Naf taf. Mrs a stalker

Only just into junior at 1yo, compact feminine girl, well balanced with correct angulation all through, she has a lovely head and expression. She moved well and held her topline on the move , Very close up to 1 just not as mature but her time will come.

3. Nevedith Golden Reign at Szelfuto [Mrs D hardy & Mrs E Phillips]

1. Russetmantle Lilou [ Dr S Gottlieb]

This is the type I was looking for , of correct size and proportions, moderate throughout ,with correct angulation all through and with nothing overdone. A beautiful head into an elegant neck , correct lay of shoulder. She reminds me of Sh Ch Russetmantle Bead and my own Sh Ch Russetmantle Indiana, to name just two. She held her top line on the move with correct tail set. Moved with reach and drive effortlessly. Gay would be so proud of her breeding, I’m sure she will gain her title in time. RBCC

2. Kenzduo Atina [Miss M Wiblin]

Another lovely type ,compact and balanced, correct angulation throughout, with good feet and bone . A feminine head and elegant neck. She moved very well in this strong class but i just prefer the head and overall movement of 1.

3. Szelkiralys Love Fool [miss C Murray and Mr W Parker]

1. Oroshaza Bumble Bee JW [Mrs D club and Mrs C Mason]

    The smallest in the class but correct size. A beautiful head, super type, correct all through.Good feet and moderate bone, correct tail set , she held her topline on the move, an excellent mover she flowed round the ring.

2. Vizash Heiress of Caorunn JW [Miss G Ainsley]

3. Another super type of bitch, beautiful head and expression. Well balanced and moderate all through with correct angulation .Good bone and feet, she moved very well but just lacked the drive of one

1. Sh Ch Layways Cinnamon Girl [ Mr S Layton]

Another beautiful example of the breed from this clever breeder . Outstanding type of correct size, feminine and elegant without loss of substance. A beautiful classic feminine head with a beautiful expression, Correct moderate angulation all through, shown in excellent condition ,she moved out with reach and drive to win in a very strong class, she held her own in the challenge against a quality male, but her overall type and movement won the day. BCC & BOB , delighted to see her win Group 1

Another bitch of excellent type and size . much of above comments apply, lovely feminine head into an elegant neck ,correct angulation and well made all through, correct tail set and top line held on the move. Another really good mover just couldn't compete against 1 on the move and overall showmanship .

I have liked her since a youngster, a lovely feminine girl with a beautiful head and expression . Correct angulation , moderate all through, she was full of life showing her socks off. She moved out very well and was shown in excellent condition . BVB
