Critique for GERMAN SHORTHAIRED POINTER 

 A lovely day spent judging one of my favourite breeds and its thanks to Darlington Committee for the invitation.

We had a great size ring which I asked the exhibitors to make the most of with their exhibits.

All exhibits were presented in clean condition.

VD

Sh. Ch. Bryburn Bacchus JW SH.CM. SH.CEX. Very well conditioned and fit all through which together with his super construction enabled him to cover his ground with ease around the ring. Stands over his ground on straight boned legs. Pasterns and feet Correct. Clean in skull, Correct fall to lips, Correct mouth. Liked the set of his ear placement. Muscular neck, forequarters are well set. Body is firm, Correct width to thighs. Stifles well bent. He is very worthy of his titles.

Compelling Monkey Wrench. Good headed with nasal bone. Well made fore and aft in construction. Round feet, straight bone. Moved smoothly covering his ground.

Desijem Starman if Whinchat ( AI). My notes say sound & steady. Feet compact. Eyes are a good shape and colour. Correct mouth. Skull coming along nicely in shape, ears set high. Forehand & chest correct, body & movement very good. In lovely condition.

Winterwell The Card Player (AI) needs time to mature & tighten in front on the move. Head is developing, ears well set, good lip. Firm back, hindquarters falling towards tail. Time is on his side.

Magregor Super Nude around Pothouse. Head just at breaking stage showing masculinity. Jaws strong, Correct mouth, lips fall away well . Good nose. Eyes are good in colour. Forelegs straight & lean slight slope to pasterns. Elbows close, chest deep and just wide enough. Ribs well sprung. Body firm, loin true. Rear construction shows broad hips. Strong and well muscled all through. Moved on a clean stride and made use of the ring.

Valger Tennesse. In my opinion he was my find of the day. A very smart male. Nothing out of place clean in outline. Very firm, well muscled body. Beautiful masculine head which fits his body perfectly in proportion. Good rise to nasal bone, good nose. Correct mouth, ears set true all make his head so balanced. Stands his ground well. Straight legs well shaped feet. Pasterns just slightly sloping. Elbows close to deep body chest just wide enough. Ribs carried well back. Neck Strong flows into firm back. Loin slightly arched. Croup wide slopes towards tail. Great shape and fitness to rear quarters. Stifles well bent, hocks square. On the move he comes alive showing his length of stride and drive. Beautiful coat. Very pleased to award him the CC and BOB. Take your time and enjoy showing him. He is worth it. Well done.

2. Winterwell Folies Bergere (AI) only 12 months old. Well developed head, ears set high. Lips fall correctly. Well shaped feet. Moved with drive at rear just needs to tighten in front. Coat in good condition.

Seasham Jingle Jangle JW. My notes say that I liked both these two males each showing good breed attributes. Excellent head planes on this boy. Strong jaw, good nose, lips. Slight arch to neck which has good skin. Shoulders sloping, straight forelegs. Strong firm short body wide in loin. Tail set off sloping croup. Moved so steadily using the ring well. Really liked him. 

2. Fraulynzway Lightning Bolt JW (ATC AZ14641208) taller than winner, however he is balanced throughout. Similar remarks apply to winner for body and outline. Sprung ribs, muscletone pleasing throughout, tail well set. Movement steady.

A very good class that included 6 champions.

Sh Ch Orchidstar Bolts of speed. 

 Another 2 smart males that will change places on other days. Winner is masculine , straight boned, Correct shape feet. Handling his head he has a good nasal bone, eyes ears set correctly. Correct mouth. Strong neck which flows into firm body, good skin and coat. Chest deep, ribbed back. Correct croup and tail set. Thighs wide, well bent stifles. Moved so we true around the ring . In great for condition. Pleased to award him RCC.

2. Sh. Ch. Macgregor Pop the Dom over Pothouse. 

Worthy of his title. Balanced throughout. True forequarters, firm back and body. Rear is strong and wide with well bent stifle's. Good shape to hocks. Excellent coat. In hard fit muscular condition.

Sh Ch. Keigame Murphlette at Benrae VW 9 yrs. Have admired this exhibit before. She is fit and moves with purpose. She is so sound. Deep chested, good shape bone and feet. Body is ribbed loin strong. Head has required planes and nasal bone. Correct lips. Eyes, ears set true. Coat short and tight. 

2. Jacofraze Desire from Keigame unlucky to be up against the winner. Smaller in size however, she is so balanced all through. Head shows good eye and ear set, slightly narrower in width. Beautiful topline, bone, pasterns. Moved very well.

Desijem Rebel Rebel (AI) first words were smart baby steady for one so young. Holds topline well on the move. Presents a beautiful outline. Her head is proportioned well sitting on moderate neck. Body has depth, elbows close. Stifles well turned. 

2.Zarozinia Carn Tuile very much a baby. Longer on leg. Time will allow her to mature. Well muscled but for one so very young I would say please dont over do the exercise as she is not mature and bones are still developing .

Winterwell Monets Magic of Fayemm (AI). Front construction won her place. Super chestnut development. Body has depth, loin wide slight arch. Tail set correctly just off back pasterns pleasing. Handling her head she has well set ears, width to skull. Correct nose. Moved very well with a sound strong stride.

Winterwell Starry night at Mylanuka (AI). Litter sister to winner. Very similar in outline and same attributes as her sister. Eyes need to darken

Well shaped, feet straight bone. In good feet fit condition. Moved well.

2. Keigame Mystique Aurora JW . I liked her outline would prefer a little stronger bone as she is finer all through. Well shaped head, strong neck . Deep through chest. Well turned stifles. Moved out and round freely.

Orchidstar Tick Tock JW. 

2. Balvenie Fiddle Diddle. Both these exhibits have the same sire and are very much alike in outline and size. My remarks apply to both exhibits. Skulls are balanced with good nasal bone. Ears set true, eyes good, correct mouths. Bodies are feminine and strong throughout. Pasterns on winner are strong and firm. 2nd place just a tad down. Movement was good using the space. Rear movement on winner with her good stifles and pasterns won her this class. Im sure they will change places many times.

Valger Toggywinkle JW. This was a cracking class for quality. To top this class she had to pull out all the stops and produce her best qualities. Stands so well. Her feet are lovely shape and pasterns good and strong. Bone straight. Neck is moderate and strong. Sits well into firm topline. Deep chest well ribbed loin strong wide. Thighs are wide with stifles well bent good rear pasterns. Tail sits well . All this topped by a beautiful head, noble, Correct eyes, ears, mouth. Movement is strong with a length of stride. In good coat. So pleased to award her the CC. Found out later that my BOB and BCC are litter mates. Well done to their breeder.

Lagopuss Black Mandala on Elfrindew. Just 2 yrs today. What a picture of confirmation she presents. Both when stood and on the move where she shows her stride and rear power. Beautiful head to handle. Nasal bone true. Ears of hood length. Jaws close together and strong. Correct mouth. Strength snd fitness throughout her well made body. Pleased to award her RCC in such a quality bitch entry.

Sh Ch Dappledale First Date at Bryburn. Another great class of quality. I wish I had more CC to award. Sound, fit, true shape. Classy head. Feet and bone are correct and well shaped. Front sits true under deep chest. Loin strong. Rear quarters are well made with wide thighs and well bent stifles. Tail set well. On the move she is so sound and uses her hind quarters to drive well. 

 Jomeel Olivias Choice JW. Another cracker. Sound and fit all through. Beautiful head, nose, eyes. Strong neck, bone straight. Well held topline. Good set croup and tail. Another excellent mover.
