Welsh Corgi Club Of Ulster

Breed: Best in Sub Group (Welsh Corgi)

28th September 2025

Welsh Corgi Club of Ulster Breed Ch Show.

Thank you to the Welsh Corgi Club of Ulster for inviting me to judge Best in Show at their Breed Championship Show. It was a busy time for breed exhibitors as the Group for Belfast Show was being called as the Club Show was finishing up, which meant some exhibitors had to miss the end of the Club Show. Thank you to fellow Judges Jean Lawless and Liam McCormick for sending me such nice dogs to the Best in Show ring.

Best in Show was Blances Ch Penliath Bill Me Later, (Pembroke), 6 years old, beautifully presented female. Excellent type, with a lovely balanced outline. Feminine head of excellent proportions, lovely eye and expression, ears well carried. Nice flow from the neck onto an excellent topline with a good spring of rib. Angulations are balanced front and rear, she held an excellent shape on the move and was good coming and going.

Reserve Best in Show & Best Opposite Sex in Show was Irving’s Ch Twinan Sign Your Name, (Pembroke), almost 3 years old, quality male of good substance, masculine head of good proportions, nice eye and expression. Excellent topline, well angulated fore and aft, moved well around the ring holding a nice shape.

Best Veteran in Show was Fricker’s, Ch Kerman Field of Dreams, (Cardigan), 9 years old, in good condition for her age. She is excellent type, balanced feminine head with a lovely eye and expression. Excellent reach of neck and she has a good length of ribcage. Moved well for her age.

Reserve Best Veteran in Show was Preston’s, Ch Towernaglen Catch A Star Over Willinda, (Pembroke), 7 years old and in sparkling condition. Compact lady, with a nicely balanced head, nice eye and expression. Good angulations front and rear and she moved soundly coming and going.
