AIREDALE TERRIER

Not a huge entry but there was enough quality to make it interesting. Overall mouths were excellent as was presentation.

1st: PICKERING, Mr Joe & PICKERING, Mrs Dawn Jolliver Dave Ja Vu-was a baby when I last judged him and is maturing into a handsome young male. Scores heavily for type, masculinity and bone. Well proportioned. Has to now mature slightly into his frame and settle down a little on the move. Still shows great promise.

2nd:FEARNHEAD, Mrs J Settlebeck Royal Flush JW-this boy was presented in immaculate form and was a bit steadier in performance than the winner. Was just a little longer cast which was the main deciding point.

1st: BROWN, Mrs Julie & BROWN, Mr David Ch Jokyl Daily Special JW-super type and is unmistakeably “Jokyl”. Presents a lovely outline and profile both standing and moving as he is fairly cobby with tail on top. Super neck shoulders and front assembly, super animation. One of the best heads of the day with excellent planes. Well- deserved CC and BOB and was pleased to see him make the cut in the group.

2nd: TOULSON, Mr & Mrs N & H Toulsyork Utterly Bonded-scored well for substance and masculinity, lovely coat well presented, very good rear, not quite the side piece or outline of the winner but quality all through. Res CC.

3rd: BLACKBURN, Mrs Jo Lumosadie The Fire Bird

1st: HAMPTON, Ms Deborah & HALL, Ms Tina Muliebrity Sunshine-10 months and maturing nicely, feminine but with enough substance, lovely head and expression good outline and kept catching my eye as she is showy. Res CC and is one to watch. Best puppy in breed.

2nd: RYAN, Mrs Deb Saredon I Heard A Rumour-very much a baby against the winner so looking rangy at the moment. Lovely coat and well presented, super rear.

1st: 1737 RUST, Mrs Gail Jokyl Songbird-my notes said that this one looked a bit in-between. Certainly feminine and moved ok up and back. Just felt that she needs a bit of finish. Hopefully she is a slow maturer.

LB 5 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: SINGH, Miss Bridget Russtam Dolly Mixture At Borderbridge-interesting class. This one caught my eye with her overall proportions, very feminine, super neck and shoulders and was the best mover in the class. Well presented. Not the biggest but was certainly the best of the bitches today. CC

2nd: BLACKBURN, Mrs Jo Lumosadie Scarlet Phoenix-close up in this class, decent outline and well turned out. Not the strong rear quarters of the winner.

3rd: FEARNHEAD, Mrs J Settlebeck Queen Of Hearts

OB (3 Entries) Abs: 2

1st: RUST, Mrs Gail Ch Jokyl Power Lady-lovely type, super length of head with good planes, good front, a touch weak behind and was a bit sluggish today.
