Thank you to the Committee for inviting me to judge my favourite breed, to my stewards who kept the ring moving which allowed all the winners to make it in good time to the Groups. Also thank you to the exhibitors who made the day with a lovely atmosphere around the ring. Overall I remain concerned about rear movement, particularly in relation to how many are close behind.

Class 2276 PD (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 3976 KEAR, Mr Adam Foxriever Infinite Spirit (ai) - 10 month old liver. Developing a strong head as befitting a dog with eye colour to match his coat. Correct proportions with ample bone. Pleasing in profile with overall balance and a moderate bend of stifle. Still growing into his body, slightly bum high which affected his movement. Correct coat density and texture.

Class 2277 JD (2 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 3961 CLACK, Mr & Mrs Stephen & Elaine & BATLLE-HUNTER, Mr Krisbos Leonidas With Molokain (IKC) - 15 month old liver. Head in proportion with dark eyes and ears well set on of correct size. Ample forechest with good depth that allows front legs to be set well under body. Rear angulation slightly less than a moderate bend of stifle which could be aided by hocks being more let down. One of the few who was not close behind. Coat in excellent condition with tight curls. Even though young well deserved the RDCC

1st: 3971 EDWORTHY, Mrs Margaret & EDWORTHY, Mr Martin Brightmeadow Man Of Steel - Liver. Masculine head. Well boned front legs sitting on tight cat like feet. Would prefer a more defined forechest and greater width at front. Moderate bend of stifle. Well muscled. Level topline and correct tailset. Would benefit from the handler paying more attention to how his back legs are placed when stacked as he is not narrow from behind on the move but appeared so when stood.

Class 2279 LD (4 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 3958 BOORMAN, Miss Gill & BROWN, Mr Allan Kahawei Star Catcher - 2yr old liver. Appealing outline when stacked with balanced outline. Strong head with eyes correctly set, colour matched to coat and ears well set. Strong bone throughout. Moderate bend of stifle with straight hocks well let down. Level topline on the move which he did with drive. Coat of tight crisp curls.

2nd: 3983 STEPHENS, Mr & Mrs J & M B Brightmeadow Rumour Has It JW - A black of similar age to 1 and both shared similar characteristics. Preferred outline of 1 when stood and on the move. Good covering but a slightly more open coat.

3rd: 3973 FLAHER, Ms Gillian & RICHARDS, Mr Raymond Tessmene Top Notch By Kagemusha

Class 2280 OD (5 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 3984 STUBBS, Miss Jillian Brightmeadow Take Your Time At Densdale - Black with everything in moderation as it should be for a Curly. Strong head with ears of the correct size, set as they should be slightly above the level of the eyes, which are dark in colour. Medium length of neck and visible forechest. Moderate tuck up. Well muscled with good width of second thigh. Moved out well with tail flowing behind. Good covering of crisp curls. Well deserved the DCC.

2nd: 3960 CLACK, Mr & Mrs Stephen & Elaine Bazzy Inti Anka At Molokain (Cze Imp) - Smaller type liver but all in proportion. Correct wedge shaped head with eye colour to match coat. Moderate bend of stifle, not showed to its best as slightly over stretched when stacked. Moved well but not quite the drive of 1.

Masculine head with eyes well set and dark in colour. Well muscled with good second thigh and moderate bend of stifle. Moved with drive. Not in his best jacket. BSB

Breed standard confirmation throughout of a puppy of this age. Good amount of bone and legs set on tight cat-like feet. Coat of crisp tight curls. Moved elegantly with drive when settled.

1st: 3980 PERKINS, Mr B J & Mrs S M Maycourt Miss Sweetness At Tengore - Black. Pleasant head with kind expression and slight stop. Well placed dark eyes. Appropriate length of neck into well set shoulders. Pleasing in outline with slight tuck up and moderate bend of stifle. In full jacket of more open coat. Movement ok, probably more drive if moved more quickly.

2nd: 3964 COURTIER, Miss D Maycourt Cover Shot - Liver. Pretty feminine head. Eye colour matching coat. Matches standard in outline. Well sprung rib and good bone throughout. Moved well when settled. Crisp curls but not in her best coat in places.

1st: 3975 HARRISON, Mr & Mrs T & H Brightmeadow Never Can Say For Glenbrows - Black. Slightly more upright in profile with moderate bend of stifle. Feminine head with well set dark eyes. Well developed forechest with ample width. Level topline into well set tail carriage which was held on the move. Moved out with drive.

2nd: 3965 COURTIER, Miss D Maycourt Take Me To The Top - Overall, everything in proportion, with slight tuck up and moderate bend of stifle. Pretty, feminine head. Deep chest with good spring of rib. Not in her best jacket. Slightly finer than 1 and was not as positive on the move.

Class 2287 OB (6 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 3982 STEPHENS, Mr & Mrs J & M B Sh Ch Ravenho Up Town Girl For Brightmeadow JW – a noticeable presence from when she first entered the ring. Feminine black bitch with lovely expression. Strong neck flowing into well laid back shoulders. Stood on tight cat-like feet. Moderate tuck up. Well muscled thigh with moderate bend of stifle and hocks well let down meant she moved with drive both out and back. Level topline held on the move with tail well set. Complete covering of tight crisp curls. BCC and outstanding BoB

2nd: 3959 CARRICK, Mrs Fiona & CARRICK, Miss Chimene Tessmene Tickety Boo – another quality bitch with beautiful wedge shaped head and kind expression. Lovely neck and forechest. Overall her construction is to type and shows through clearly when stacked. Whilst similar to 1 on the day preferred the coat and movement of 1. RBCC
