Firstly I would like to thank the committee for the invite to judge at this well respected show. The hospitality was wonderful. This was my first CC appointment in this breed, and I was very pleased with the quality throughout the classes. I would like to thank my stewards Calum and Simon who were very efficient, and kept the ring running smoothly. Unfortunately not all exhibitors accepted my decision gracefully, which was disappointing.

1st THOMAS, Miss Michelle & PRINT, Mr Ian Bilarny Hotcross Bun

This young dog is sound with good bone and substance. Head has good proportions with a dark expressive eye and strong jaw. Good depth to his rib with enough spring, and a muscular topline. An active dog that moved with enthusiasm. Presented in a smart jacket.

2nd HANCOX, Mrs Katrina Dawn Newguild Rythm

Raw baby, has a dark keen eye, delicate chiselling with enough fill, skull is flat, with relatively small ears. Front is clean and straight with a good lay back of shoulder. Moderate bend of stifle with hocks are well let down. Moved well. Coat a little wavy, but with a bit of work this will come.

1st BENTLEY Mrs Kiera Newguild Royale

8 month, very smart alert young dog, with pleasing expression and dark piercing eyes. Straight front, moderate length of neck, which flows into his muscular topline, with ribs well back. Liked his rear angulation with enough behind, and high set tail, although would prefer his tail to be straighter. Presented in correct double jacket.

1st RYAN, Mrs Deb Saredon Runaway – CC

Caught my eye as soon as he entered the ring, with his charisma and substance. Liked his overall balance, with correct front & rear angulation. Neck is fair in length running into clean shoulders, forelegs well set under body, with straight legs and short tight pasterns. Chest is deep with the correct amount of spring to his ribs with a pleasing topline and correct rise over loin, finished off with high set tail. Jaws strong, perfect scissor bite, dark eye and well set ears, with a keen expression. Immaculately presented in a hard wiry coat. Moved freely, showing his true character.

1st CHILVERS, Mrs Caroline Apispolb Fleet Street (a.i.)

Smart young dog, with fine well laid shoulders, tidy elbows tucked in, standing on tight feet of correct shape. Muscular firm topline with slight rise over loin and a good tail set. Powerful hindquarters, with hocks parallel and well let down. Neat small v shaped ears set on a lean head, with typical keen expression. Beautifully presented and handled so well.

2nd CHILVERS, Mrs Caroline Apispolb Solstice Druid (a.i.)

What an amazing litter with lots to like, has many of the same attributes of his litter mate. Well off for bone and has lovely rear angulation. Liked his typical expression, piercing eye, well set ear, and strong jaw. Presented in an immaculate double coat. I just preferred shoulder and tail set of winner.

Pleasing type with good bone, relatively long body, and short coupled with correct rear assembly. His head is masculine with strong jaw and well filled muzzle and a large black nose. He has a harsh and wiry coat which is smartly presented. Lacked character but became more alert on the move.

1st RICHARDS, Mr Tony Lodgecroft Singing Master – RCC

Liked his alert keen expression, taking in all his surroundings. Has a tidy front with good bone, and stands on straight forelegs with strong short pasterns, tight round feet and arched toes. Pleasing overall balance with clean well laid shoulders, adequate return of upper arm, with a fair spring of rib, and muscular hindquarters. Beautifully presented and handled. When settled moved freely, keeping his topline, with good reach and drive.

2nd CONNELL, Mr & Mrs N & S Sonorra The Godfather

Upstanding young male, head long, lean with dark intense eye, flat skull, and stop hardly visible. Straight front with good length of legs set under body, with depth of ribs, set well back. Neck flows seamlessly into clean well laid shoulders, correct length of body, strong hindquarters. Presented in a tip top condition.

Smart compact dog, standing square on well boned feet. Clean well laid shoulders with a moderate length of neck, enough spring of rib, muscular loin and short coupled. Hindquarters strong and powerful. Skull flat, small v shaped ears, correct ear set, good head proportions and correct bite. Moved well.

Delicately chiselled foreface with correct expression a good length of jaw, with ears well placed, folded above skull. Front straight; shoulders clean and long enough with elbows tucked in. Hindquarters are powerful with hocks parallel and well let down. Coat in excellent condition.

2nd: DAVIDSON, Ms Anne Silbraehill Miss Dynamite

Smaller type, but with correct balance throughout, well laid shoulders, a fair spring of rib, with ribs well back, relatively long body with a short loin. Moved ok. Preferred ear set and expression of 1st.

This bitch has a feminine head with correct ear set and size, relatively small almond eye with sufficient chiselling. Moderate length of neck, with good front & rear angulation, and pleasing topline wit correct rise over loin. Moved soundly with enthusiasm.

Another quality bitch, with many of the same attributes, just a little less mature. Liked her head, expression, ear set. Length of neck with clean well laid shoulders, moderately long body with sufficient spring to her ribs, and muscular loin. Presented in a tidy double jacket.

Nicely balanced dog with nothing over stated, straight front, correct body proportions, moderate bend of stifle, hocks well let down. Head is long and lean head with enough fill. Moved ok.

2nd DIXON, Mr John & DIXON, Mrs Patricia Rooikopjie Norton

Correct head proportions with dark eye and ok ear set. Firm topline, muscular hindquarters, and moderate bend of stifle. Unfortunately looked disinterested in showing today.

Another one with a lot to like, has good bone, tight feet, straight front, ribs deep and well back. Loins muscular and slightly arched loin. Good length of neck, well laid shoulders, good ribbing, Lean head with exquisite expression, moved with real drive and extension covering the ground.

What a lovely bitch with super straight front, unlucky to meet 1st, head of correct proportions with strong muzzle, delicately chiselled. Good depth of rib with ribs well back , muscular loin and good tail and rear angulation. Moves with good reach and drive.

1st MISAKI, Mrs M Jpn Ch High-cross Jp Miu Saredon - CC

Presents a beautiful clean outline, and oozes the breed standard, with a flat skull, dark eye, ears folded close to cheek of correct size and good head length. Moderate length of neck with a good depth of chest well laid shoulders and enough return of upper arm. Elbows are tucked in with ribs well back completed with a short muscular loin. Feet are tight, hocks are well let down and parallel. Movement free covering the ground. Presented in a perfect double jacket.

2nd ATKIN, Mr R. J. & ATKIN, Mrs J. Holbam Celtic Rose (a.i.) JW - RCC

A lovely sound bitch with a graceful outline. Feminine head long narrow and flat with an inquisitive keen eye. Good length of neck gradually widening into beautiful clean shoulders, with ribs well back and is short coupled, has a moderate length of leg with enough bone. Tail set on top with good rear angulation. Presented in a crisp jacket of good texture. Moved freely.

One I have admired previously and is still looking on top form. Long lean head with delicately chiselled foreface and keen expression, good length of neck widening gradually into fine shoulders. Loin slightly arched with strong muscular hindquarters, with plenty behind her tail. Moved freely. Presented with double coat, in superb condition.
