Akita Boston & DCS Championship Show 5th July 2025 Firstly, I would sincerely like to thank Boston society for my first championship show appointment for two breeds close to my heart, thankyou also goes to the exhibitors for entering under me. It was a challenging yet memorable day. Akita Class: 2137 Minor Puppy Dog (0,0) Class: 2138 Puppy Dog (1,1) Class: 2139 Junior Dog (0,0) Class: 2141 Limit Dog (0,0) Class: 2142 Open Dog (2,1) 1 – 3372, Ch Stecal’s All Guns Blazing (MS C & MS F Bevis, Miss R Corr & Mr K Venezia) 3yrs male, red, white with a black overlay in fabulous coat – presented to perfection. An eye-catching male, masculine head, correct muzzle to skull ratio, correct scissor bite, dark brown, almond shaped eyes, full cheeks, well defined stop complete with moderately sized, thick triangular ears pricked inclining forward to full attention. Strong crest of neck leading to moderately laid-back shoulders, correct front angulation with catlike feet. Rear angulation is moderate; pasterns front and rear moderately sloping making for a pleasing shape on side profile. A powerful mover, displaying great muscle tone, driving out correctly when viewed from all angles. Pleased to watch him take group 2 later that day. Best Dog, Best of Breed. Class: 2143 Veteran Dog (0,0) Class: 2144 Special Beginners Dog (0,0) Class: 2145 Good Citizen Scheme Dog (0,0) Class: 2146 Minor Puppy Bitch (1,0) 1 – 3378 Shyllar Viva La Vida (Mr C and Mrs J Nicholls) 7 months a very impressive red and white, clear and defined colour with beautiful coat. Feminine baby of balanced proportions, a very sweet expression, lovely black mask, correct almond shape eye, enough cheek, correct size thick, triangular ears. Moderate angulation all round. She moves with ease around the ring, back remaining level holding her tail in place. One to watch as she matures. RBB, BPIB Class: 2147 Puppy Bitch (1,0) 2 / 8 1 – 3375 Kendarctic Hokus Pokus For Shyllar (Mr C and Mrs J Nicholls) 8 months old black and white youngster in great condition. She just lost out on performance for BPIB today as she took a little time to get her to settle but completely expected with a baby. When she had settled down, she moved out beautifully, strong rear with good angulation, straight front with moderately sloping pasterns creating a pleasing view from all angles. Quality head. Class 2418 – Junior Bitch (1,0) 1 – 3374 Whitewreath Trigger Finger (Miss A and Mr O Hutton and Walker) 17 months old red and white with a black overlay. Beautiful coat, dense under coat, coarse outer layer, colour is brilliant and clear. Strong, feminine head, sweet expression. Broad muzzle, well developed cheeks. Almost shaped, dark brown eyes. Ears create a beautiful extension following on from the crest of neck. Still young, would like to see her fill out as she matures but she is where she needs to be at this age. Moderatley laid back shoulders, straight front, tight well knuckled feet. Moved well, with topline remaining level. Well deserving of best bitch. Class 2419 – Post Graduate Bitch – No entries.
