Thank you to all the exhibitors who were able to be present for judging and for your sporting acceptance of my decisions on the day. It was an honour to have your support and a great opportunity to judge so many nice dogs at this show. A special mention and gratitude to my very competent ring stewards for keeping everything so orderly throughout the day. My report Import Breed Register Utility is below. PUPPY DOG 2/0abs

1st Cunningham’s YULEYONG ON TO A WINNER. Korean Jindo. Very captivating puppy of 8months. Balanced general appearance with erect ears and sickle tail. Strong head with defined stop, flat skull, moderate cheeks and straight muzzle. Eyes placed well apart and dark brown in colour. Thick triangular ears set with a slight incline. Neckline slightly arched and without dewlap. Correct body proportions, well developed ribs and level back. Balanced angulations to front and rear quarters which are heavily furnished with hair. Tail is set high and well feathered. Such a sound mover when viewed from all angles displaying accuracy of footfall and firm hocks within his jaunty action. A natural showman in the making and has an exciting future ahead of him. Pleased to award him Best Puppy Imported Breed Register Utility.

2nd Cassidy’s CHINASKYS TEDDYLICIOUS. Xoloitzcuintle (Int.) 9mths coated male. Athletically built and balanced in side profile. Head having a broad skull which tapers towards the muzzle to give a wedge shape. Moderate cheeks. Eyes are almond shaped with well pigmented rims and return an intelligent expression. Long elegant ears of fine texture, set wide and carried erect. Forequarters having good angulation of shoulder and upper arm, tight elbows and straight legs. Well angulated hindquarters with straight parallel legs. Hair of correct texture and markings. Maintained his shape on the move with a free and elegant trotting action and needs to tighten in front as he matures.

JUNIOR DOG 1/0abs

1st Thornton & Lockhart’s NUBEIRO AOKI. Xoloitzcuintle (Int.) 12mths male displaying skin of beautiful smoothness and rich red pigment. Correct head shape, dark eyes with tight rims, ears of proportionate length, carried and set correctly to enhance his alert expression. Neckline is clean and smooth. Balanced in front and rear angulations with tight feet and firm hocks. Evidence of well developed muscle throughout his body, ribs are well sprung, chest is deep. Movement is free flowing with a positive action. Tail and head carried high too.

POST GRADUATE DOG 4/2abs

1st Unwin & Winter’s MORNINGCALM WHO’S THE DADDY. Korean Jindo of 4yrs. Medium sized male with a mature body of correct proportions. Head is strong and free of wrinkle with moderate cheeks and defined stop. Correct dentition. Eyes dark and almond shaped and obliquely set. Thick ears set to incline slightly forwards. Moderate lay of shoulder, tight elbows, slight slope to pasterns in front. Level back, well-muscled loin and firm hindquarters finished with a thick tail, set high and carried over the back. Coat is cream in colour with harsh texture to outer hairs. Very sound on the move delivering a resilient action with moderate strides when viewed from all angles. Please to award him Reserve Best of Sex after a strong challenge.

2nd Thurston & Watson’s LUIBICE DONOVAN. Korean Jindo. 4yrs. Strongly built and of good proportions. Masculine head and returning an alert expression from dark eyes set well apart. Ears stand firm and are set to incline forward in line with the neck. Front and rear angulations are balanced. Moderate lay of shoulders, well sprung ribs and deep chest. Solid red coat colour with correct texture and furnishings. Moved with a moderate stride around the ring, I found a more desirable head and tail carriage in my class winner.

OPEN DOG 3/1abs

1st Thornton’s ENERGY DI OZZY Bel/Cze JCh. (Imp SVK). Xoloitzcuintle. Sturdy build, clean outline with good breed type. Strong bone, smooth, warm skin of excellent dark pigment. Wedge shape to head, straight muzzle and strong jaws. Dark expressive eyes with good pigment to rims. Ears are set on obliquely and carried erect. Neckline long and slightly arched to support high head carriage. Moderate chest, pronounced breastbone, good length to rib cage and strong back with well developed loin area. Hindlegs are parallel with ample muscle to thighs and firm hocks. Tail strong at the root and always carried high. Coming and going he showed good reach and drive and held his topline in side profile. Please to award him Best of Sex from the challenge.

2nd Cunningham’s INT/IR. CH. YULEYONG ROCK DEE JAY ShCEx. Korean Jindo. 3yrs. A male who excels in head type and complimented by a body of robust build and sound limbs. Well proportioned body, level back and a well-developed brisket. Straight forelegs with slight slope to pasterns and tight feet. Rear has good muscle tone and firm hocks. Coat has a solid vibrant colour and correct texture. Another who moved out well using a moderate stride with good head and tail carriage.

VETERAN DOG/BITCH 3/1abs

1st Unwin & Winter’s LUX/BEL CH. ROM Gr.CH. MORNINGCALM WHITE WIZZARD AT SNOWTREKKA (ai) ShCEx, VW Vdh-Europasieger. Korean Jindo. 8yrs male presented in excellent muscular condition underneath a cream coat of correct texture and density. Having a well-proportioned body with deep chest, correct spring to ribs and moderate tuck up. Forequarters have powerful shoulders, elbows set close to body and straight forelegs. Rear is balanced with good width to thighs. Tail set and carried high. Made good use of the ring on the move to evidence his resilient and accurate stride. Delighted to award him Best Veteran Import Breed Register Utility.

2nd Cunningham’s INT/IR. CH. YULEONG WARRIOR PRINCESS Ir Jr Ch. Korean Jindo. 8 ½ yrs female of good size and correct proportions for height. Strong head with correct dentition, dark eyes and well-set ears giving an alert, feminine expression.Body is well developed throughout with level back, deep brisket and firmly loin area. Tail set on and carried in balance with body. Energetic and rhythmic action out and back with correct head carriage on the go around.

PUPPY BITCH 3/0abs

1st Cunnigham’s KWUEST’S ENHASU AT YULEONG (Imp Pri). Korean Jindo. 6mths with a confident and outgoing attitude. Pretty expression from her dark eyes, carrying her ears upright and inclined forward. Tail held over her back to complete the profile. Body is developing well with depth to brisket and moderate tuck up. Correctly angled front and rear limbs. Firm hocks on the rear. Coat is dense and of strong colour. Very sound and accurate on the move when viewed from all angles. Best Puppy Bitch.

2nd Cunningham’s YULEONG SPECIAL EDITION. Korean Jindo. 7mths old with a clean and balanced profile. Head is without coarseness and has definite stop, dark eyes which are obliquely set. Erect, triangular ears set to follow her slightly arched neckline. Body of good proportions, plenty of rib and moderate tuck up. Used a moderate stride to cover the ground easily when asked.

3rd Thurston & Watson’s SUNMI OF TAEGEUKI & MUGUNGHWA WITH LIUBICE (Imp) NAF TAF. Korean Jindo.

JUNIOR BITCH 3/0abs

1st Cassidy’s RING RIDER WRECKING BALL FOR CHINASKYS. Xoloitzcuintle. A standard size, hairless female of correct proportions and athletic build with dark close-fitting skin. Elegant wedge-shaped head, straight muzzle and strong jaws. Dark almond eyes that return an intelligent expression and have tight well pigmented rims. Long ears of fine texture and carried erect. Elegant and slightly arched neckline flowed into well laid shoulders. Front angulation well balanced with straight forelegs and firm pasterns. Muscular body, firm back and slightly rounded croup area. Rear has well developed thighs. Moderate angles and firm hocks. Tail extends from the croup and is long and thin. Produced a very graceful and flowing movement with head and tail held high when in motion. Very sound moving out and back. Made good use of the large ring to promote herself. Pleased to award her Best of Sex and Best of Breed Import Register after another faultless performance in the challenge.

1st Unwin & Winter’s LIUBICE DIAMONTE AT SNOWTREKKA ShCEx. Korean Jindo. 4yrs with a balanced profile and a dense cream coloured coat. Solid breed type. Very alert and responsive to her handler. Liked her well-proportioned head broad flat skull, straight muzzle, correct dentition and dark obliquely set eyes. Ears carried erect. Neck is of medium length, slightly arching to integrate with well laid shoulders. Back is firm and level. Tail set on and carried correctly. Gait is vigorous and sound producing a resilient and moderate action and good tail carriage. Pleased to award her Reserve Best of Sex today.
